Sep 24, 2010I am creating a VB 2008 change calculator as an assignment. The program is to use the amount paid - the amount due to calculate the total.(this is working fine). After that, it is to break that amount down into dollars, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies. The problem I am having is that sometimes the quantity of pennies, nickels or dimes will be a negative number. For example $2.99 = 3 Dollars and -1 Pennies.

Jun 13, 2011I am creating a VB windows form applications , the working can be summarized as users fills some form and data is saved in sql server database.Now the problem i am facing is that i have to deliver this as a setup file to someone, and that person will further distribute it to different users to run on their PC, what i am thinking is that the code once installed on other computers and executed will give errors because of the connection string of sql server db as it will not match with that computer . I know that if a distribute projects i can put connection string in app.config and every user can change it according to his/her machine .But as i am giving a setup file how to solve this problem

I used a code snippet to show all the installed fonts in the first one and I implemented the use of an integer for the text size. I think that what I've done is correct but the application throws an Inner Exception whenever I try to change the font or the text size.

What I Want To Happen:- When the user saves there work I want the name of the file to be shown next to the name of the program at the top left hand side of the form. All in all, bindingsources, tableadapters, dataset & tableadaptermanager, I have about 40 objects in the component designer tray.I found out that on a few occasions, Im not able to view the form design because of corruption or something. Sometimes, I even lost a bindingsource object or even a dataset object which caused errors. Has anyone come across such incidents? Is it advisable to have too many objects in the component designer tray?

May 4, 2011I have a IF statement which is checking each row in the data table (for a match) and ELSE statement with commands which are executed if the If statement is not satisfied. Now I would like to write like so that it goes to the Else part BUT ONLY for values which are not satisfied in the IF statement. If I am more specific; I would like to calculate values if a match is found and just print them if it is not fond (usually there are both cases). Now the problem is the bold text; if there is a match found I don't want it processed BUT if the match is found I do. How can I write that?

Jun 5, 2011I have this rather stupid litle excel issue which somehow just doesn't go away by itself;I'm creating a excel chart from three rows of information data. Each row has a header, so far so good. The first row exixt of calender data and I planned it to use them as my x-axis labeling. But somehow excel uses them as variables and changes them in to a third bar. Which is not what I had in mind when copied this litle piece of code.[code]

Its addeding due to special characters like {' / ....etc}
