im trying to delete a row from a small table on SQL from within a form in my app.the one on msdn was a bit vague and i couldnt get it to work. i Also tried using command (as in example:[URL])but i cant get that to work, plus id rather not have the connection string there anyway, whats the point when im using table adpaters?I have a query on the dataset called UserDeleteQuery:

View 1 RepliesI'm using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 to create an application (.VB). The application connects to a Microsoft Access 2007 database. When the user starts the application, the application pulls in the data from the database via the "TableAdapter.Fill" method. The user can then add/update/delete records in the form and those changes are saved and confirmed in the database. The problem is when the user close completely out of the application and restarts it, the modifications that were made and originally sent/saved to the database are wiped/deleted. It appears that the dataset in the application never saves the modifications and when the program restarts it uses the data that was originally loaded into it during the design/build phase of the application.

I've been working on this for some time and I'm surprised that no one else has had this problem. I have a databound form with multiple date fields. I cannot delete a date field once it has been populated. I can change the date, but that is about it. Once Clearing the field i cannot lose focus of the textbox or even close the form. I have read one article on this but it does not seem to be working. The below code I have found. how to get the field to allow nulls? This is not an issue with the table not allowing nulls either.

ive got code like the code below that creates textboxes dynamically. I want to be able to click a button and delete all of these textboxes i make, however im not sure how to do this. When i tell the program to remove the TBIndex control it does not do anything. The only way i get it to work is if i put the command in the same sub as this code. This code runs in a loop by the way.
So if the loop runs one time and creates the TBIndex control and i have a line of code right after to remove the textbox, then it does not show up on my form. But if i put the command in to remove the textboxes somewhere else and run the code the loop runs abunch of times and creates all teh textboxes and the loop is complete, then the remove control part is called and nothing happens. I just need a way to clear all the textboxes off my form with like a button. I also tried painting over the textboxes with a big grey rectangle but that dindt work.

This is the strangest thing, I can not figure out why this is happening. When I delete a radio button from my form which is used to filter data in a database Form_Load stops working.My project consists of a database and a web browser. The database has a search filter options.[code]For some reason it didnt load my settings on start up. I made a button which displayed True/False in a text box to check if it was saved in my settings, it was, it just didnt want to load. So I deleted it and everything broke! Nothing in the code is referenced to the RadioButton or its code.
Have I done something wrong or is VB just messing with me? There is obviously a bunch of more code, I just posted what I think is relevant to the issue. If you feel something is missing, tell me and Ill post it. ied to change the RadioButton with a CheckBox, and I changed the code from "Me.ExampleTableAdapter.FilterHide..." to "Me.Example TableAdapter. Fill...", which is the same as in Form_Load. It works if it starts checked. If I remove this code or delete the CheckBox nothing works even though the same code is in Form_Load. If I start off with the CheckBox in an Unchecked state nothing loads, if I check it everything except the Browser works for some reason.

I have a javascript file that contains the function for calling the confirmation delete window, the code used is similar to the following:

Assuming I have a folder structure like:

This works fine, unless I have Windows Explorer open and I'm looking at the 'MySubFolder' directory. Then I get an IOException The directory is not empty. - clicking OK dismisses this and then the folder structure is not deleted. Any thoughts on how I can get this to perform correctly (i.e. delete), even when running this code while having the folder struture open in Windows Explorer?
