Link Forms Without Using Subform?
Apr 23, 2009Is it possible to build and event procedure and link two form together? What I am doing on one form is listing all incomplete records with a list box... and when someone clicks on the name they want to see... I want the next form to pop up so they can complete all the data.

Jul 14, 2009I have a combobox linked to a table Checklist (ID, Checklistname, and several multivalued fields). I want to have my subform display data from different tables based on my combobox selection "checklistname". All the tables are imported Excel files with the same fields and field types (ie. Discrepancy, reference, reference paragraph, category). How do I get my subform to requery based on the combobox selection? Or is there another method when working with "outside tables"? Import good/bad? Make new table? I have about 20 tables, if importing but only need particular data to save/store in my main table, and I need to know which table it came from.

Nov 8, 2011I am trying to create a Form that can be filled out in it's entirety without having to bring up other forms. It is considered in access to be a subform. I have one table that includes Injuries and each injury has a specific ID well I have all the information that goes with it updating, except for the "many-to-many relationships"...I one want injury to have more than one treatment type, the problem occurs when I drag the injury table over from my dataset it automatically creates a binding source for it, which only controls the data inside that table. It does not control the data that is related to it such as "treatment type" "body part injured" . There must be a way to have a single Inj

Feb 22, 2012I'm using Report Viewer(VS 2008) to make a report in VB.net. I add Table with Table Header, Table Detail, and Table Footer. Then insert a Table Group(table1_group1) and add expression =IntRowNumber Nothing-1/10 on that group. I check page breaks at end.
When I load the report its show normal :
page 1 : page header+ table header + table detail(10 list data) + page footer
page 2 : page header+ table header + table detail(5 list data) + table footer + page footer
But when I click Print Layout Icon its show an extra page(page 3):
page 1 : page header+ table header + table detail(10 list data) + page footer
page 2 : page header+ table header + table detail(5 list data) + page footer
page 3 : page header + table footer + page footer ( this is the error)
I also try to print the report and its print 3 page.
Copy Data From Subform Table To Another?
Jul 18, 2009Access databse, On the main form I have a combo box select a table (1 of 50 table names), the subform pulls up the table and users can go to a specific record. Once they move from the subform, how do I capture the subform fields to another table. As the combo table selects from one table, the selected table is different, my primary table is linked by FKey in this "MergedTable" with FKey "TableName" and FKey "item" for each of the 50 tables?

Jul 29, 2011In my master page init sub I have a block of data/text being written to a control. The basic idea was that it should be available on every page (obviously). However, I have come across a situation in which I need this to NOT happen on a certain page. Is there anything I can do, short of making a new master page for this specific page, to make this work? I also use a basepage, if that ever needs to come into play.

With MS Access SubForm you can do like ASP.NET Masterpage. It's a huge loss of time with Winform when having to create a lot of complex form. You have to compensate with either Code Generation which create code duplication or do Runtime Dynamic Form which is much more difficult.
Can't Access Web Page Forms
Mar 14, 2011Seems like something is preventing me from accessing forms inside web pages that I visit. When I visit a website like Google.com using my custom VB browser I can't add text to the Google search form or any forms on any web page.So I can't register at web sites. And I can't login or use any form that sits on web pages.What is keeping me from accessing web page forms? I mite be missing some kind of .DLL file on windows XP but I can access forms fine in web browsers like Mozilla FireFox.

Aug 15, 2011I have an ASP.Net site that is using the singular form model. Each page has multiple forms (login, search), and I'd like for the forms to obey the 'enter' key. Currently if a user is in the login form at the top of the page, if they hit 'enter' the form is submitted, but if they are in the search form, a little further down the page (and lower in the DOM), hitting 'enter' causes the login form to submit.
