Interface And Graphics :: PictureBox Is Zooming Up Images?
Jan 5, 2011
I managed to combine two .png images into one, and then display the result in a pictureBox image. However, the pictureBox seems to scale up my image! Makes it bigger! The pictureBox size is 96x128. The two images I have combined are 96x128. The pictureBox's SizeMode is set to "Normal"I have noticed that even though the pictureBox's image seems to be zoomed, it is cut to keep the 96x128 rect. But I don't want it to be zoomed...
In VB2005 GDI+, it's not too difficult to get zooming and panning working together, or rotating and panning. But I am finding it very difficult to get all three functions working in coordinatioin. The code below is the nearest I have reached so far. It's a working example on a standard Windows Form, but please supply your own image. The user can drag the image with the left mouse button, and toggle wheel zooming or rotating by tapping the space bar. Both zooming and rotating work. But the stationary centre of zooming or rotating (marked by a red cross in the example) remains relative to the image.
how do i change the picture inside a picture box.I wanna make 5 dice that change when you press roll.. the number generator is easy i just wanna use graphics rather than a label to display the numbers.
I have multiple bitmaps(i) in arrays, and I want to know if I can save each of these bitmaps into on animated gif file. I thought about using image.saveadd() but i'm not sure if that will work.
I've got a picturebox on my form which is supposed to hold a compass. I've created the compass with DrawEllipse, then I used a translatetransform() to move the origin to the center of the picture box: [Code] The problem is that it creates two images, one is correctly displayed of a compass with red tick marks, but the same image is displayed over it and is offset at the new origin (midx, midy). I tried using the prepend and append overload for the translatetransform sub but it didn't make a difference. I thought everything after the translatetransform would be set at the new origin, but it seems I'm creating the image twice, what am i doing wrong?
insert images in a combobox. I understood the code, but what I'm asking is how do I add multiple images per line of the combobox?? I mean the way, the smileys are displayed in dropdown grid in Yahoo! messenger or the sort when you click on the smiley button..
I'm using Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition with .NET Framework 3.5
My app allows the user to set a new button on a tabpage, move it and resize it. They will do this over a background image so the buttons line up with images in the background.Without the background image, the buttons move smoothly and quickly. With the image turned on, the buttons want to move sloooowly and they drag. I made up this code just to show the basic function of what I am trying to accomplish.
Code: Public Class Form1 Public finalshape As Region
I've problem with clearing all the drawings I've created in my PictureBox. In fact I've created animation which stops after certain time and remains on the screen. The animation is created/painted with collection of about 25 TextBoxes - input of a user. Now I've added a button which clears all that info in TextBoxes and also should clear PictureBox -ictureBox.Refresh(). The problem is when I add new info in 25 TextBoxes nothing appears in PictureBox and I can't start an animation. Wondering why...
i am making a program with graphics and im using a picturebox for a button. The image inside picturebox is transparent .gif. The problem is that i don't know how to make picturebox transparent. I searched the internet but all exaples didn't work. Does someone know how to fix this problem?
here is my problem i am making a blockbusters game and have come across a problem where 2 picture boxes overlap each other which i dont want so i need to make a picture box or a button into a hexagon shape so they wont overlap
I am starting to develop a card game client for a CCG a friend of mine and I are creating.
I have 2 forms Client.vb and Hand.vb linked with a module.vb
In essence when the app starts up I see the client. I can then click the "Hand" button and the Hand Window is shown as well.
What my goal is is to have it so that when i hover over the card (picturebox) in my hand form that it displays a larger image of that card in the preview box (Another picture box) In Client.vb
I have everything working except when i actually mouse over the image in the hand form it creates an error:
Error:A first chance exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException' occurred in CCG 2.0.exe
The code in the mouse hover event:
Code: F1.PictureBox2.Image = F2.PictureBox1.Image
Im Almost certain im going about this the wrong way but I cant seem to figure out any other way...
PS.I have attached an image to demonstrate what Im trying to do...
I'm developing a VB.Net 2008 application which uses background images (in jpg format) in some forms and controls, but this makes the application to use a lot of ram. My question is how to make it to use the less possible.
I have an application that has a list of point and I can choose a tool and draw one image to different locations then remove them if I wish, and when I finish editing those images, I can then pick another tool . The images are supposed to go away that were drawn by e.graphics but they only do when I click in the picturebox. How can I hide the images or delete them from graphics when I choose another imageHere's the paint event alone
vb Private Sub MapGrid_Paint(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.PaintEventArgs) Handles MapGrid.Paint
I've been searching for days. I can't find anything that I think is going to work. I've probably read the answer and skipped it because I don't get it. I'm new. I've researched multithreading, sub routines and webbrowser. The webbrowser thing doesn't seem professional to me.
All I want is the animation to be smooth when it's displayed and to have it integrated into the app so it's not called from the local drive. The animated gif is in PictureBox3. Please point me in the right direction. I really don't want to use a static image.
i'm working on Virtual K770i project - there is a picture of mobile, now i want to create clickable areas on "keypad" of mobile....I'm got idea about transparent label or something but transparency dont work on any object but Form1 - so how to make transparent clickable areas on picture box (see a picture)
I am currently creating an app and i want to be able to get the colour of a pixel, but in a picturebox.Example: I click anywhere in the picturebox and it will give me the color of the pixel I clicked.
I recently wrote an inherited picturebox control. From within the control inside methodI I call Me.Invalidate to fire the control onpaint event. But onPaint does not fire.
I'm making my first 2D game, and I've created an object inherited from a picturebox, to use as a little man. I've tried to make it move using a timer, but I'm not satisfied with the result. Sometimes the speed seems to change for no reason.
How do I rotate a bitmap image that has been placed in a picturebox? I need to make it appear upside down or rotated according to user input. I can't find anything in the properties to do this
I'm trying to update every millisecond the BackGroundImage of a PictureBox. But it don't works. I think that it comes from the figure that I update every millisecond in the PictureBox.[code]
Problem1: I have a picturebox on a form. I have also managed to draw several PNG files with transparency onto the picturebox (see below). However, If I move the form outside the border and move it back, the image is gone. My source so far:
Dim k1 As New Bitmap(My.Resources.image1) Dim k2 As New Bitmap(My.Resources.image2) Dim drawMe As Graphics = PictureBox1.CreateGraphics Dim bgcolor As Color = Color.FromArgb(128, 128, 128) drawMe.Clear(bgcolor)
My project needs to print a large PictureBox which during runtime only part of it is shown (as it's too large, width=4000 pixels and height= 2000 pixels) and to see the rest of the picturebox, user needs to scroll through the vertical and horizontal bars. On top of the picturebox, there are many controls which are loaded and positioned by user on run-time. Those include lines, labels, another picturebox with image and user-defined controls. Now, i need to write a print function which will print that picturebox to not too many pages in A4 size or A3 size. Not too many means less than 5 for both paper size.
1) How can i print the whole picturebox with all its contents and go to next printing page until the whole PictureBox is printed? I tried using the following code but
(i)The image of picturebox inside that picture box and user-defined control are not printed whereas others are printed. Why is that so? How can i print the picturebox including both the "un-printed"?
(ii) Even i can print out the picturebox, only the part where the picturebox is shown is printed. How can i print the whole picturebox including those parts which needs scrolling to reach?
Private Sub CmdPrint_Click() Dim rv As Long 'Picture1 is the picturebox to be printed.
The problem is that i am trying to resize pictures so they fit into a picturebox with good quality. I have found a code (se attached code) on the internet that resize the picture correctly but the quality is poor.
If i resize the picture in Adobe photoshop before i put it into the picturebox the quality is good so there is nothing wrong with the orginal picture or the picturebox. It's the resizing that is the problem.
Here is the code.
'Generate new image dimensions Public Function GenerateImageDimensions(ByVal currW As Integer, ByVal currH As Integer, ByVal destW As Integer, ByVal destH As Integer) As Size
I will get an error message. I tried something like
Code: Public ObjectPoint As PointF Dim cpoint As New PointF() cpoint.ObjectPoint = New PointF(startX, startY) e.Graphics.DrawEllipse(Pens.Blue, cpoint.ObjectPoint, 0.4, 0.4)
but it didn't work for the location and the circle size. How to draw a circle(and rectangle) by using floating point numbers?
Ive been working on creating a side scroller game, and the back color of my pictureboxes needs to go. when transparent, it shows through the program and onto whatever is active in your Windows os(usually Visual studios).
I am trying to rip pixel color off of the background image picturebox( the level), and replace parts of the character picture box that show transparency with the level art. there may be poor logic in my code?
Heres my code:
Dim newImage As Bitmap = New Bitmap(PictureBox1.Image) Dim backImage As Bitmap = New Bitmap(PictureBox2.Image) Dim ximg As Bitmap = New Bitmap(PictureBox3.Image)
[code]....
not the best idea, but all i get is one color for all the level pixels placed in the new image, which is odd. any poor logic you see in this code that could allow the newImage.setPixel not to be 1 color? when i breakpoint, it is recieving different colors from the backimage.getpixel, but only putting one shade on for setpixel somehow. im not going for an accurate color read from the background yet, just wondering why im getting 1 pixel color for the whole picturebox background when being changed.
I need serious advice here please. I use Visual Basic Graphics Programming by Rod Stephens as a reference, and I have visited his site vb-helper.com to try some of his tutorials. I tried the scribble application and it's working out fine (you can download the snippet from his site).
What I have trouble with is zooming in. I am not sure where to start. I would like to zoom in to x2, x3 and etc. of the bitmap I am working on and I would like to be able to continue to edit the bitmap. This would mean that I have a larger pixel brush under the mouse cursor, to lay down pixels. So a x2 zoom would mean a 2 x 2 pixel.
Has someone done this. Do you have a reference I can use for this. This kind of editing is standard in almost every paint package. Even Microsoft Paint, but there is not too much basic information on how it fits together in code for vb .net. So I am looking for someone to point me in the right direction. As I said, I am using the scribble application as a base, so here is the link. [URL]..
I have a picturebox with zooming/pan capabilities. I am now starting with the zoom. I did that by:
getting the mousescroll event( up or down) add height and width to the picturebox get the pixel coordinates of mouse inside the image.
my problem is that, when i change the size of the picturebox, the pixel coordinates in the picture is not the same with the previous image without zoom. I need the coordinates to be the same even the picture is zoomed.
i have a question to do with vb.net. i have a picturebox with zooming capabilities. but i want the zoom button to zoom a certain percentage with each click. for example:
