VS 2005 Getting The Correct Number Of Attributes To Match The Correct Number Of Text Boxes?
Apr 18, 2009I have created a basic query generator which allows a user to select the Select, WHERE and criteria attributes using a number of checkboxes.However i have got stuck. In the results form i have the following code

The program keeps on crashing if the user does not select the corresponding amount of display records from above for the amount of attributes they want for the SELECT part of the query in the intreface in form 1.
How would i go about making something where the number of SELECT attributes selected which are listed in a string create the correct number of textbox fields in the results form (form2)

Sep 22, 2009I've got a strange problem with a Response.Redirect. I'm using VB.NET with the .NET 2 framework (so VS2005 & SP1).I've got a page that I do a form submit on (that's a proper form method="POST" hard-coded onto the page) and that properly posts me back the page data which is then processed. As part of that processing the system determines if we need to get sent to another URL after processing has been complete. So the request.httpmethod = "POST".
So if the "GotoPage" parameter has a URL specified we then do a response.redirect(URL, false). (False as we want page processing to complete in order to write some timing logs etc).The page correctly redirects but instead of the response having a "GET" as the request.httpmethod it has a "POST" instead Now, we're using our own custom framework so that we use the HTTPRequest method to determine if a page has been posted back or is being "Getted" so the "IsPagePostBack" property doesn't work (that only works when you're using the normal .NET controls and form submissions). In all other instances our code works happily but what might be causing the Request.httpMethod to not be being set correctly ? I've tried doing a response.clear before the redirect in case headers are being written out before hand but to no avail.

When a user adds or subtracts correctly the correct label shows 1 and when a user correctly answers again the correct label should show 2. It just adds and adds until the program is running. However, even if entry is correct, the error msgbox will appear (x times of how many records there are in file), despite being navigated to the menu. Anyway that the Else isn't triggered when data is correct. Also for it to appear just one instead of (x times of how many records there are in file.)
Get Files Title & Album Name & Track Number?
Sep 26, 2010Well I have some music files I want to load up from my program, it is meant to list out all the files album name, song title, track number, etc... it's meant to be a custom player which can load up mp3 files & play them.I can get files to play & everything fine, list out directory it's stored in, full file path & file name & such & extension but stuff like album name, song title, track number, song length I am unable to find out how to get this info.
Previous stuff has showed a way to retrieve them from the file by reading certain bytes & stuff but doesn't work because apparentally the album art is inside the file & at the beginning instead of the other information tags, since such pictures are bigger or smaller at times, I can't simply determine with my current knowledge how to read out the album art either or determine how long of text it would be to skip over, then at that point that the tags are in the place ..maybe there is a way from managed code to do this or API? Reading bytes to determin the info & re-create the album art, and piece together the album name, song title, etc... isn't what I want to do, I want something that's easier to do, I thought it would be simple to make a program just to play some music.

Basic Calculation - Keeping Track Of Total Number Of Discounts
Sep 5, 2009I am trying to keep track of the total number of discounts given (whole numbers) I keep getting .75 after the first discount, and it adds .75 for every trans action after that. I have tried to pick it apart but I just don't see it. You can follow by tracking the comments that relate to the summary. I know that is an Integer but the book has it declared as a decimal so I went with it.

Unable To Show Correct Log Id Number?
Feb 15, 2011I have a form (FRMQUESTIONNAIRE). It contains, a listview table, a panel and picturebox, 2 combobox, 10 questions with 5 radio buttons each question ( A survey),A log number id (I just used Label in here) and 2 buttons ( save and skip).
Problem: When I click one item in listview table, the picture captured realted to the item click in listview table will be shown in panel beside it. However, the problem start to happen when the log ID is not appear accordingly based on user selection on listview table.
What I reckon start of the problem: - Previously The listview table(listview1) in frmquestionnaire was in frmqlist(another form). But to suit user requirement, it has to combined with frmquestionnaire. In frmqlist, I use a label Image. This form contains the similar details in frmquestionanire except there are no 2 combobox, 10 questions with 5 radio buttons each question ( A survey),A log number id (I just used Label in here) and 2 buttons ( save and skip) But it have a button(Proceed to survey). Having said that, when user click an item in listview(Frmqlist), the picture will be shown beside it. User will click button proceed to survey and frmquestionnaire will pop up. Here, It shows the correct Log ID based on user selection in frmqlist.
But now....
I have combine everything in frmquestionnaire. I am facing as the LOG ID is not showing according to the selection. As a result, I can't save the questionnaire answer as well as this log will be used to save in database.

Round (2.5,0) = 2 which is wrong. the answer should be 3.

Jul 31, 2010I've created code that generates a random number and validates the users guess to see if its correct. I think the code is good but i'm not 100% sure. I need to add additional pieces to the code and i'm not sure where or how to do it. allow the user 10 guesses. after 10 guesses disable the ability to make more guesses if the 10th guess is wrong count each guess entered & display the count as it increments display each guess along with its returned messaeg into a list box. when the user gets correct answer provide a box to allow them to play again. Re-initialize variables back to their starting status.
a. If the user correctly guesses the number in less than 5 guesses display "Either you know the secret or you got lucky!" in a message box. b. If the user correctly guesses the number in 5, 6, or 7 guesses, display "Ah Ha! Do you know the secret?" in a message box. c. If the number of guesses is 8 to 10, then display "Try to do better next time." d. If the number of guesses exceeds 10, then display "You have taken too many guesses."

What i'm working on is an application to save screenshots to files as soon as the 'Print Screen' key is pressed, as Jpegs or what ever. What i want to do is be able to minimize the application and I still want the application pick up on any 'Print Screen' presses, and save the screenshots. I've tried using the KeyPress event, but I soon realized that it only worked when the application had focus. I plan on using it to save screenshots every time I press 'Print Screen'
