No Output In Asynchronous Program - Retrieve Output After The Events Are Invoked?
Mar 1, 2012What I am trying to do: There are three powershell scripts with different time delays as shown below.I am trying to run them asynchronously in .NET and I followed this article to implement Asyncrhonous programming. Where I am stuck:The I am not able to retrieve output after the events are invoked.The scripts are being called but then the program ends and it shows "Press any key to continue" in console windows.I don't what I am missing here.
Info: JobRequest is a class that I use to pass around information keep track of jobs.

Aug 9, 2010This is a homework assignment, but I can not figure out why my output has an error.It will work when I remove the last intCounter and put it into a separate label. When the user selects a row in the listview, I would like to have the Firstname and Lastname for the selection chosen to be output to a label. I know how to select a single item from the listview and output it as text. How do I output two items from the listview to a single label? Oct 14, 2009I need to out each line of text to a seperate textbox. or label. Im not sure about a string. Can a string hold a value like, "192.168.1.1 2302"? If so, then how would i output it to a string. If not, textbox or label please. Please keep it simple as possible, since I will probably be needing to repeat this process 500 times, like, a different string for each line, i will have a lot of lines. Aug 20, 2011I have VS 2008 and use VB, not C#/C++ or whatever else. I'm trying to make a battleship game, and I've decided to use the only method I can think of to control the grid. A 2D boolean array for position marking. I have the array set up, and the grid set up in the design form, but I can't figure out with all my research how to link them together. I'm writing this program to shake off the rust before school starts again, and for fun. I took VB in school last year, a half year class, so I have a foundation, now I'm self-educating myself above and beyond the class. I've searched for a way to use a picture box array to use the coordinates of the ship to .Visible=True the picture boxes. I've been working on this for 2 days straight with no results. I just need a little nudge in the right direction. The exception I've been getting with my latest concoction of code is NullReferenceException was Unhandled. I think its referring to the fact that I have no idea how to link the picture boxes into the array. Here's my code, and I'll comment where the exception is thrown:
