The program first checks the directory it's in, and if the license file isn't there, it prompts the user to select the license file with a file browser dialog. I have tested this code and confirmed it working in a number of different OS environments.Recently, I received reports from two users (one in Germany and one in Italy) that the program can't find the license on their computers, even though it is present in the program's directory and they manually selected it with the file browser dialog. The only commonality I'm seeing here is a lack of English OS, but beyond that I'm stumped.This is the code I'm using:

I'm fairly new to the MS Sync framework and have been beating my head against the wall for about four hours now to no avail. I'm simply trying to sync my databases (one "master" SQL Server 2008 with a SQL Server CE, the client) with:

It works just fine in Visual Studio 2010 and always manages to sync, but now that I'm trying to implement it on my client's computers, I always get the error:

Have you ever heard about that error ? It happened to me when I used code to Close an open form . But this very strange . Not only I have used this simple code (Me.Close) in numerous forms but it also happens in a weird way . You see , I have a form with a button on it . The code in the button's Click event sais Me.Close . Also , this button is set to be the Cancel button of the form . Now , when the user closes the form either by pressing the X button or by pressing the above button , nothing happens . However , and this is very weird , when the user presses the Esc key on the keyboard , the program crashes with this error message :

I have a bit of a strange problem with MySQL that I've never seen before. Basically, I need to enter the same entry into a table x number of times. The Primary Key is auto increment so there shouldn't be any duplicate value problems. However, it takes the last few columns and seems to clump them all into one value and is using that as a key. The error I'm getting back is:Duplicate entry '80-0--2011-06-16-0-1' for key 'idx_mtind you, there is no field called idx_mt. The primary key field is called just ID. And that 80-0--2011-06-16-0-1 is the last 8 columns or so (which you can see the names of in the cols variable) concatenated, which they obviously shouldn't be doing. Also, the first time the loop runs through, the entry goes through, but the later ones conflict with it. I confirmed that this is the problem by changing one of the last 8 columns to a value based on a loop, and that went through with no problems.

I don't know much about COM; I know that the component we're calling is late-bound i.e.obj As Object = CreateObject("THIRDPARTY.ThirdPartyObject")We then call a method on this COM object (Option Strict Off in the head of the VB file):obj.AMethod(ByVal Arg1 As Integer, ByVal Arg2 As Integer, ByVal Arg3 as Boolean)I am a bit nonplussed that even though this call works, this overload doesn't exist in the COM interop .dll that is created if I instead add a reference to the COM server using Add Reference. View 6 RepliesI got kind a mystery situation. There's not a lot of code, only few lines but the point is that it only works partially (it saves but does not load).
I tested it with another cmbbox1, which makes it work on seperate cmbboxes but not on either one or onother on their owns.[code..]
I got other cmbBoxes with titles on them loaded from the DB and they work fully, only this one doesn't.what should I look at?

I have a small sqllite database file (less than 500K) in my end, and the php web app uses Mysql, the structures remain the same. I would like to have a update function in my windows app, which sends my sqllite database file directly to my webserver and then1. Php should read values from the sqllite database files insert some values into mysql from the uploaded file 2. Php should read values from the mysql database files and insert them to sqllite database file
and finally send them back to my windows client pc. I would like to use .net 2.0.Anyone has an idea to get the above done or a suggestion to make the sync easier will help me a lot. Give me light on how the architecture or design should be done to achieve this

This works fine when the code is run within a form but when i move it into a dll calling it from a console app it neither sends emails nor picks up any errors.

All the code needs to be controled by seperate timers as the user may need to pause timer3 or timer4 at any one time. The problem I have is that after about 5 minutes the time and elapsed time are about three seconds ahead of the two count down timers.

To bypass the stupid "security" bug in outlook I use redemption.safemailitem.Now, this has worked for years, but for some reason I can�t change the adress to which outlook sends the mail. The occurance is rare.
In fact, how to know all characters that may be problematic for mysql and remove that? I am not saying escapeable characers. I am saying characters that are neither numeric, alphabeth, or chinese scripts, or punctuation. Characters that's totally bizarre.
