Selecting Two Values From Combo Box To Return A Price?

As some of you probably already know I'm currently creating a ticket ordering system. I'm having some slight trouble getting one of the key elements of the application to work mainly because I'm not sure where to start with it.
I currently have a form with two combo boxes (one for the origin of the journey and one for the destination). The idea is that the customer tells the employee over the phone where their journey begins and ends. They will also select a date of travel - but the date of travel doesn't really matter to much at this time.
Once a to and from is selecting from each combo box, the price will be shown in a label on the same form.
I have the to, from and prices information in an Access database table and my database is already linked to my application using a data connection.

I am developing a program that makes it easier for users to log on to a website and search for specific data. I have the first portion finished in which I have a form with the Ax Web Browser control.
The web browser control navigates to a local website and automatically logs in for the end user. This is done by using code which automatically fills in the username and password and then submits the form to logon using something similar to this: WebBrowser1.Document.Forms.Item(, 0).elements("txtUsername").value = "user"
Once logged on - there is a search page which contains a combo box and list box. I am trying to set specific values for the combo box and list boxes.For example - the combo box on the website is titled: cbxDate and contains the following values: Today, Yesterday, This Week, This Month.
A list box titled: lstArea contains the following values: Zone A, Zone B, Zone C, All.I am trying to figure out if there is a way through code to select, in this example, "Yesterday" in the cbxDate and "Zone B" in the lstArea on the webpage.If anyone knows of a solution, please feel free to let me know. Be advised that I am using the Ax Web Browser Control.

My problem is, the data that I pull from the database, when try to multiply it, it didn't multiply.
The database has Fruit and FruitPrice column. When select fruit form the combo box, it will search the price. But I can't seem to multiply it. The price is display at PriceTextBox but when multiply it, it shows 0 in the TotalTextBox. It is a simple problem but I've tried everything I know but it still didn't multiply.

When my application starts, it scans the computers registry for COM ports and adds them in the combo box. The combo box first index is just a blank, and the second is COM1, COM2,...COMn. What I want to do is by default, I want my program to select the first COM port in the combo box, so in this case, COM1.
I know I have to use the PORTNAME property of the serial object, but not sure how I would set that equal to the 2nd index of the combo box.

I am new to vb and I am having so much trouble with this. What I need to do is this: I have a form application for winter sports equipment rental.I have a listbox filled with the equipment for the user to choose from then I have a combobox for the user to select the duration they would like to rent it. The book that I am using has no examples I can refrence and i have had no luck online either. I am posting what I have so far. However, i think I am going in the wrong direction. I have been working on this for so long that I think I have over thought it and made a mess of it. I am thinking that I need to add a new class for rentalRates then use enum of durationType and equipmentType but I am unsure how to move that way. I've got some code like the following. I want it so that when I chose an item in 'select 1' it changes the in the second combo box but I'm not sure of the best way to go about it. Does it have to be AJax or can it be done with just Javascript?

I am using a Strongly Typed Dataset as DAL. I want to return a single column from my table for that i wrote the code as
SELECT DISTINCT Floor
FROM Room
WHERE (Building = @Building)
But when i previewed the data, it shows me all the columns of the table with Null Value and the column with primary key has -1 value. This condition raise an Exception when i link this query to a ComboBox ..

I have a form as follows "Price changer" The user is allowed to select a product and enter price . So when the change price button is clicked...the price is stored in a array which is later called
So what i am stuck is when the user selects a product from the drop down menu...the user can enter price . But i need to display a error message when the user enters text instead of numbers for prices. I tried try parse method but it displayed the error message but did not transfer the entered price to the array.

I have to create a form that I enter the price of gas each month over a year. I enter the price in a text box and click the enter button to send the price to a list box immediatley and use an array. I have the following code but I don't think it's working with the array correctly as it will let me enter the information but doesn't stop letting me enter after the 12 prices. I am really having a hard time trying to figure out how to set up this input for an array and make it all work.

I have this online quiz that generates random questions, but the only problem is that it repeats the previous questions. I have limited questions (I have 10 questions in my table, but I have limited the number of questions to be 5. The output would only display 5 random questions) which I named as RequiredRecords.

I have two comboboxes in my form (cbAdresse & cbVerwaltung). Choosing the value in the first combo, i get the value from the table into the textbox txtAdID. I have a combo box that is tied to a binding source that loads a list of users from a table. Currently the list of users is a List of String object type. When a user selects one of the users from the drop down, a list is filtered down based on the selection. To do that I currently have to requery the User Table to grab the UserID column of the user selected, which seems a bit inefficient to me.
Is there a way that I can assign a custom object with two properties (UserName, UserID) and have only the User Name is displayed and when I have to filter the list, I already have the UserID, so there is no need to requery the database.

I am working with Vb.net and have a form with a combo Box. On load the form is loaded with one of the following details depending on what is stored in the database; Cancelled, Processed and Failed.
TxtColStage.Items.Add("Cancelled")
TxtColStage.Items.Add("Processed")
TxtColStage.Items.Add("Failed")
Then I have an update button and when the user drops down the list he/she can select between Cancelled/Processed/Failed. I want to be able to grey out or disable Processed and Failed, so that when the user updates the field he/she can ONLY update with the Cancelled option ONLY.

I've used VB to connect to Excel and get the titles of the different columns in a spreadsheet. These then display in a drop down combo box for the user to choose from. I'm getting lots of empty values in my combo box because not all the columns in Excel have titles. How would I go about telling it not to display them?
