Jan 8, 2010The program is for calculating an amount of fruit. I have a label saying the name of the fruit, a textbox to enter a value of 0-99 and another textbox with ReadOnly which will show the price.

As you can see, the Fruit1 Etc... Is only the fruit name.
The Text box wich indicate 1-99 means the number of fruit.
The Textbox with Cash on it, means the total price.
The Calculate button, when I will push it, all the total price from all the fruit will be added together to form a total price which will be indicated in the total price textbox under the Calculate button.
When I will enter the number of fruit, if I enter 99, it give me a price.
When I will enter 60, I want that the 60 are multiplied by (let say) 0,10$
I just like to know how I can do this... Its really bothering e and I don't want to calculate all the things and make 99 line for 1 fruit cause it will be long.
The code I was using was:

Apr 11, 2012I have a Datagrid with 4 columns. Column 1 is ID, Column 2 is Products, Column 3 QTY, Column 4 Price and Column 5 is Total. I would like to get the Total of Column ID if it has 3 of the same ID and the Column 3 Price is $10.00 ea. Then on the Coulumn 4 Total get a result of $30.00.

CheckedListBox - Showing Total Price Of Selected Items In Textbox
Apr 18, 2009I loaded up a checkedListBox with items form a .txt file. The .txt file has itemName, ItemPrice. Every item that gets checked shows up in a listBox on another form. The problem that I am having though is that I need to accumulate the itemPrices of the selected items to show up in a textBox, but the only price that shows up is the price of the item in the checkedListBox that has the focus. What I need to do is this: I have a form application for winter sports equipment rental.I have a listbox filled with the equipment for the user to choose from then I have a combobox for the user to select the duration they would like to rent it. The book that I am using has no examples I can refrence and i have had no luck online either. I am posting what I have so far. However, i think I am going in the wrong direction. I have been working on this for so long that I think I have over thought it and made a mess of it. I am thinking that I need to add a new class for rentalRates then use enum of durationType and equipmentType but I am unsure how to move that way. I enter the price in a text box and click the enter button to send the price to a list box immediatley and use an array. I have the following code but I don't think it's working with the array correctly as it will let me enter the information but doesn't stop letting me enter after the 12 prices. I am really having a hard time trying to figure out how to set up this input for an array and make it all work.

I have never programmed before, but I do have a background in tech support, etc. I have an assignment to do and it's frustrating to wade through the information out there to find exactly what I need and nothing more.The assignment has 3 parts, one of which i've done. We are to do the same function in both javascript and VB. I was able to take a sample we did in class that caluclates a 10% discount and modify it so it calculates the total. Oct 6, 2010The pay rates for the project are:
a. Level 1 - $10.00
b. Level 2 - $12.00
c. Level 3 - $14.00
d. Level 4 - $16.00
e. Benefit Deduction Rate - 0.10
f. Overtime Factor - 1.5
For ease of program maintenance, all of the above rates and factors must be stored in module level constants. All references to pay rates in the program must refer to the module level constants.
When the Calculate button is clicked:
a. The value in the Hours text box must be validated to insure that it is numeric value greater than zero.
1. If the value is not valid, a message box must appear as shown below and the user must be offered the option to continue processing or quit the program.
2. If the user chooses to continue processing, the focus must be set to the Hours text box.
3. If the user chooses to quit, the program must close immediately.
b. If the value is valid, the program must calculate and display the total pay in the Total Pay label.
1. The pay rate is determined by which Job Grade radio button is checked.
2. For hours less than or equal to 40, the total pay is the hours times the pay rate.
3. For hours greater than 40, the total pay is 40 hours times the pay rate plus the hours in excess of 40 hours times the pay rate times the Overtime Factor.
4. If the Full Time radio button is selected, the total pay must be reduced by the Benefit Deduction Rate.
5. The value displayed in the Total Pay label must be formatted with a dollar sign and with two decimal
places.
6. The focus must be set to the Hours text box.

Oct 28, 2008I am working with VB 2008. I want to be able to run this program say in N: and it will show me in an excel sheet the following:
Folder Path Size(GB) Count of Files
N:Clients 0.53 308
where clients contains subfolders and files and the size is the total of all those files within each folder and the count is the total within each folder also.
This works fine as it is but i have to select one by one the top level folders and some of them are huge so it takes forever to give me an answer.
1) I would like to see in my spreadsheet the following by only select the network drive n:
Folder Path Size(GB) Count of Files
N:Clients 0.53 308
N:Software 10.7 15430
N:Billing 0.98 105
2) I would also like to know if this is the faster method.
3) I tried adding a progress bar so that the user can have an idea of how much this will take but i had to remove because it was not working.
4) I would like to see the folder name, size of folder and count of files in the listview.

I'm in process of making a order calculator which will total any values you selected in combo boxes/checkboxes and then display it in a selected area. There are 3 things that I want to achieve: 1. Be able to add another total to an existing total (currently I'm able to see only one total when I hit "Calculate" button)2. Dec 8, 2009I'm working on a school project and need some help getting pointed in the right direction. The project is a lawn care application with 2 forms in which the user can select different services they want for their lawn. On Form1 I have 3 checkboxes the user can select: mowCheckBox , fertilizeCheckBox , and mulchCheckbox each with a different price. And nextButton to navigate user to Form2
On Form2 I have a listbox which shows the services the user selected, a totalLabel which will show the total dollar amount of the services, and a calcButton to calculate the total dollar amount.
The problem that I am having is being able to get the total dollar amount. If the user selects the mowCheckBox ($25) and the fertilizeCheckBox ($20) in Form1 I need the totalLabel in Form2 to show the total but cant figure out how to??

Dec 9, 2010I'm about to pull my hair out with this program. I need the following program to keep a running total of the total amount due by a customer for books bought. The exercise required the use of a BookSale class with 3 attributes(a quantity,price,and total due) and 2 behaviors(a default constructor and method that keeps a running total). My problem lies in the program keeping a running total. The total due is displayed fine for each quantity and price but not the whole running total. For example,if I enter 1 as quantity and 2 as price and click the Add to Sale button,the Total Due value,which is $2.00,is displayed. However,if I change the quantity to 2 and price to 4,which comes out to $8.00,the $8.00 is not added to the existing $2.00. I feel like I'm missing something elementary and it's driving me crazy. I would work on it some more but it's already after 4 AM here and I need to get some sleep.BTW,this exercise is from a college textbook. However,this isn't an assignment that is due. I just got bored and decided to work on a chapter we didn't have time to get to.

May 3, 2011I have an application that has 3 list boxes, one selects a workshop, the other a location. the third is to display selected costs.to do the calculation a loop is required. i have written the code but when i calculate the cost the final result to be displayed ends up as being the cost of the last work shop and location * 3,What is supposed to happen is the location is multiplied by the number of days(3 in this case) and added to the workshop cost.the loop is supposed to add all cost from the list box till all have been added.what is happening is the calculation goes to the last entry as stated the multiplys this total by number of days(dbl)?
