I'm making a program where at the click of a button, a textbox is added to the form.
Basically, right now my code looks like this:

Now when the user clicks a different button, I want it to get the value of the textboxes that were created in the code.
I have a grid which users enter their contact information - fname,lname then phone number.I want to know how i can when the usr clicks a button create an extra row of input boxes..And if possible be told how to make the form scrollable, so i can have many, many input boxes present when required.

I am having trouble formulating the type conversion.A Second problem I am having occurs when I create a groupbox at runtime and then add the textboxes to the groupbox. I am having trouble drilling down to gain access to the textboxes inside the groupbox.
I'm working on making a game using VB, and part of the game involves being able to cast magic. What I did was put all the magic spells into a table in a database with the various properties I'll need at one point or another.The problem is that I need to only be able to select from a list of certain spells (Namely those your character is strong enough to be able to cast), and have it display the cost of the spell in a text box. My way of getting the right spells was as follows..first mak the structure of the table: [code] how can I use that usableSpells table I made as though it were in a database (IE making a textbox have something like "usableSpells.Spell_Cost" and making it display the relevant cost)? I created a form with 2 labels 2 textboxes and a button. Basically it is a login from. When I launch the form it shows the blinking cursor in the 1st textbox(this is ok) but when i try to type nothing happens. Once i click the form(not the textbox-textbox works too but wanted to note it was the form) it works. I have tried doing textbox1.focus(). I have tried doing the form.focus(). Neither were successful. It may have nothing to do with focus but it seems to be that to me.

I need to sum the values of each textbox, but only if there is a value in it. I have error checking elsewhere so that isn't the issue. It keeps giving me an error saying "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

On my form, i've got some textboxes and some richtextboxes. I'm using the following code, to search through the text properties of each of the two types of control. see below:-

In my project, I have a local dataset (XSD) that I am using as local-temporary tables. I am getting a System.InvalidCastException when trying to access the field in one the tables. I believe this is because I my code is (incorrectly) not setting a field's value in a row before trying to access it.My problem is that the exception is breaking in the designer file and not in my code. As a result, I'm having difficulting determining which line of my code reading the field value before it has been set. Is there any way to configure Visual Studio to break in my code instead of in the designer created file?

I am creating a form application that should display information from one dataset into individual textboxes (ie. system name, system id, location name, location id). The textboxes populate upon the selection of a pair of cascading combo boxes. So, the user first selects a system name from the first combobox, then that selection will populate the second combo box for the locations of that system. (This means that each system may have more than one location.) Once the location is selected, each of the 4 textbox should populate with the corresponding data but I'm not quite sure how to write the code..
