The other night i was reading an article on preventing reverse engineering and i found out that you can check to see if their has been a break point that has been added into your applicaiton.How would i check if their has been a break point added?

The source code is different from the origional version"I tried to remove the reference from the project and re-add it from the other project in my solution - this did not fix the problem.

I get like bunch of msgbox and when i break point the timer dosn't go to the end it just reach to the msgbx and then repeat again from the beginning , i dont know why, i removed the timer and made new one but still the same problem.
I was using a break point in this method to make sure every was running right with it. Basically it is a loop to read until the end of a stream but rwNumber resets after it gets to line 50. Does objreader.read have a limit on it i am not sure.

Of course string based compare can be done easy but I also want to check for the situation in which a mapping points to the same location. Hence if m:dataapplicApicturesjpg n:applicApicturesjpg point to the same location it must be flagged. I have already searched I know there is something like GetFileInformationByHandle but I don't want to create a file, so I have not got a handle.
View 1 RepliesI have a 'user' table, a 'phone number' table and a 'user to phone number map' table. The phone number table stores only unique phone numbers. This way I can take a look at a phone number and see who is using it easily. It is also easy to check if a phone number exists when the user is edited. The question is how I should be checking to see if the phone number should be added to the map. I could loop over the loaded mapped users and check each id. There must be a method that I can use to check like EdmUser.phone_number_map.contains(PhoneNumber). However I cant find anything like this.

View 11 RepliesI have a form i have made to calculate angles, well, I have now added a check box to reverse the angle and have got it to reverse with no problems. The problem I have is, when I uncheck the checkbox, The line doesnt revert back to normal posistion.Here is the code if someone could point me in the right direction cause I am lost now.

One of the features I would like to add is a way to check and see if there have been any new records that have been added that haven't been explicitly saved to the db. If so, when the form_closing events fires I want to evaluate whether or not new entries have been made that weren't saved, and then count the number of rows that haven't been saved.

My setup may make this easier or harder but to be clear I am running Kubuntu 9.10 (latest stable) and WinXP in a VirtualBox VM. Obviously all VB6/VS2008 dev is taking place in the virtual machine.So maybe it's possible to have the linux host send through Ctrl+Break based on a key mapping, or maybe it's possible to remap directly in WinXP. I'd settle for any solution as atm I need to use the XP On-Screen keyboard to send a Ctrl+Break.
I am new to VS 2008 but have used VB6 for years. I want to be able to run my program in the IDE but when a Msgbox displays a message I want to stop the program and see the MsgBcode. I am using Windows 7 and VS 2008 professional on a 64 bit machine. How can I do this? Do I have to install a 32 bit version of VS 2008?

I've tried this checking the "User-unhandled" box and unchecking the "Thrown" box for "Common Language Run-time Exceptions" and I've tried checking both boxes, and I've tried checking only the "Thrown" box, and I've tried unchecking both boxes.VS either completely ignores all run-time exceptions or breaks on both handled and unhandled run-time exceptions. I am trying to write the following application. A project has initial investment, yearly revenue and yearly expenses. The program should be able to take these data and calculate the break-even year, i.e. when the cumulative profits become 0. Also, it should have a listbox that would list the cumulative profit for 10 years. Refer to the example below. Now I know how to show it in the listbox but I am having trouble showing the break-even year. I know how to calculate it but how do you show it in years.

i have a picturebox which displays a map i have 2 modes add point and delete point when the user clicks the picture it creates a point on the picture where the user has clicked that works perfectly its when i try and delete the point when it doesent work :/ i have all the points loading from an xml file this is the code i have:

I'm trying to calculate the direction between two points on a two-dimensional grid. Actually I want to determine if that vector is within a range of two values. Suppose the grid's origin is 0,0 at the upper left corner, and 0 degrees represents north. I have a point A on that grid. I want to know if a line from point A to point B on the grid is within a range of directions between 111.8 degrees (a little south of east) and 158.2 (a little east of south). Those are approximations; the 111.8 is 90 degrees plus the arctangent of 2/5, and 158.2 is 180 minus that value. I worked out a series of calculations worthy of a medieval astronomer, but I suspect there is a simpler way. I'm going to have to do this for a variety of other vectors, and I'd like to generalize

I have a program that adds controls on the fly to an auto-scroll panel. When the panel is scrolled (viewing the bottom of the panel for example) and a control is added, it looks like it is added assuming the top left corner of the panel is still at 0,0 when in fact it may be 0,500. To see what I am talking about, create an empty "Windows Forms Application" project and insert the below code into it.
