im making a Music Player in VS 2008 and everything is basicly working perfectly as i want, however i seem to be stuck at the "Pause/resume button"
so my question is, in the Windows Media player COM Components, is there a code for Resuming the current state on the Mp3 file and id assume it would be resume,[code..]

Ok I'm making a media player using a listbox, but when I added an Item to the listbox it would display as a URL, so I decided to make a mediaplayer playlist instead then when I add a new song it would put the title of the song in the listbox but I have an issue, when I goto switch the song in the listbox, it shuts down with an error.

I just need to know how to rip and burn Cds using VB.net (without using any dependencies if possible). So far in my multi-media project, the only dependency currently is LAME.EXE for converting wave files to MP3 files - and even that dependency will go if I can successfully convert certain C++ listings to VB.

It's actualy a shortcut for the button event. It checks if Url isn't empty, and if it isn't, start playing the song from that url. This is the code of the play button:

Now i`m gonna talk about the Playlist button. When you enter the exe, the playlist is Visible, when you press the button it's hidden and so on.(it's made with if then condition).
The playlist it's actualy a ListBox called lplst and has some buttons:

I`m gonna talk about the Add button. This button pops up a dialog box to open mp3 files to that FIleBox. And it get's ONLY the FILENAME! (without the URL or Location of it) This is the code for the Add button:

Before , the Add button was adding JUST the location (example: C:\blabla.mp3) and when i selected it and click play, it was playing the song. But now i wanted to show only the file name. I got some code on the listbox change too.

What i want to do is make a music player that will play a song in the .exe format, so an app will open and automatically play a song. This is to prevent ripping and copyright issues. I made a app using the WMP Com Component but that of course requires the file to be opened.

View 5 RepliesI am working on a game using Visual Basic.NET and XNA. I am having trouble making the map scroll with the player. I can move the map at a square at a time(32x32) but I don't like the way it looks. I want to move at a fluid rate if possible. I want the player to be able to walk half-way through a square then see a half-square to either direction your moving. IE: Walking left, walk half-way through a square then to the far left of the map see half of the next square going to be drawn. But I don't want just half-way, I want to be able to just have fluid movement where you can walk to an 1/8th of the square and see the next 1/8th on the other side of screen if possible... To open this project and view you must have Windows Phone SDK installed can get it from Microsofts website......Note:Only up and down movement have been added into the game.

View 4 RepliesI have a Webbrowser in my application, it loads the same page after it has finished loading every few seconds really. After a while it will either freeze halfway through loading (show only top half of page) or just not reload at all and stay on loaded page.
I originally tryed the .refresh method but didn't work good, then I tryed just the simple .navigate to the same page, works better but still same problem.
If I manually refresh it with F5 it will work as normal again for a period of time.
Also if I run it outside of the IDE it can crash and give me "flash.ocx not found, it's not included with this version of windows" or something, very strange.
Main prob is webbrowser gets stuck / wont refresh even tho the code is in the DocumentCompleted event.
I'm using microsoft visual studio for VB.NET 2008. When i compiling my program it's got stuck on older version of the program, i even change some of the label text in the design mode and it still loading the old label text, is any one ever had this problem before?

Is there anything unnecessary, missing or am I on the wrong track? Right now I am trying to test send a mail from hotmail to gmail or another live account. Also, I have tried searching through the internet for a solution and some said I need to have IIS which I had it installed for it to work. Hey I am making a GDI++ game in vb.net. Now what I want is the monster(picturebox) to go after the player(picturebox). There Are No Vertical Walls. Only The Edge of map barriers. For example to get to the player the AI would have to go to the end of the ledge and either jump off and fall to the lower ledge or take the ladder down. There is no jumping, only falling and going up and down ladders and across the horizontal ledges. So How Can I make this pathfinding system?
