I'm trying to basically get the next number in a series. I'm trying to create a user account and when the user clicks to enable a Unix Account to get the next uid number in the series. I guess I'm struggling the most with reading all the uidnumbers into an array and then getting the next in line and then return that value to update a text box.

At my old job we used batchscripts to start macro's in another application. These batch scripts would also write data about the status of the macro as loglines to a log file using VB.
I have saved the batchscripts when I moved to another job because I always thought they might come in handy. However I forgot to save the visual basic script needed to create and fill the logfile.
The batchscript would look like this:

For this assignment, the user has to enter 10 number and my msgbox will show the number of negative number aswell as the lowest number.here's what i,ve come up with

I was able to make the program work for the smallest number but it doesn't show the number of negative number.2nd edit: i changed the innombre to innbrnegatif+1 in the nbrnegatif = innbrnombre+1 and now it seems to be working.
I have a peculiar error in a Visual Basic 2010 Express that doesn't seem to cause any problems, but it's there every time I open this particular project. It's a Windows Forms Application. If I do a Build function on the project, the error message goes away. But if I close the project and re-open it, the error is back again.Here's the error as it appears in the Error List at the bottom of the screen:[code]

View 7 RepliesI'm trying to make a toolkit of all the software that I use to do virus removals, PC Tune-Ups etc.. The issue that I am having is I cannot get the program to execute. For Example: I have created a small program with several buttons on it that I would like to execute specific programs that I have when they are Clicked. If I Click the 'Combofix' button, I would like 'Combofix' to start.
On my computer all the button functions work properly they execute the program that i have coded them to execute just fine on MY COMPUTER. However, when I publish the program and migrate all the publication to another computer the buttons do not work properly. My first thought is that I do not have them directed properly. As if the program does not have the other software (combofix) being copied with it.
This is the Error that I get - 'The system cannot find the file specified.'

I have 2 listbox's. Both contain a list with urls. I need to compere this listbox's and to optein only the urls that are not repeat. How to do this? Or other option with only one listbox but to do the same, to show only urls that are not repeat.

I am experimenting on a vb app and I have a textbox where you input the value of the href (e.g. http://.......) so when I click the button it will search for it and click it. So while the webbrowser is on a webpage which haves many href elements, when i press button1, I want it to find the one we defined at textbox1.text and click the BLUE HREF Link on the webbrowser (I think this requires javascript).

Now what this would involve doing is importing an image so the program understands it, then finding that image on your screen (maybe through RGB colors). How exactly do you do this? What is the procedure?

Lately I have been making a program (I guess you could call it a trainer), which would read the process memory to get the character's coordinates in a game. It later makes a simple map and show it in a separate windows. I built this program in VB.net, and it works surprisingly well. The only problem is the fact that the memory address where the coordinates are stored, changes every time I restart the game. Could someone please help me find a way, for the program to find the correct address by itself? If it helps, the game I am referring to is Minecraft.
