VS 2010 - Submitting HTML From Textbox Into MySQL Table
Oct 19, 2011I am having a problem with submitting html from a textbox into a mysql table. I would believe this to be due to "special characters".
The code I am using is,

Submitting Record To SQL?
May 17, 2010I'm attempting to make an application which, upon entry of Amount to spend, Vendor, Employee, etc., a Purchase Order number is returned. My thought is that I'll simply let SQL pick the PO Number by setting it as an identity field. What I'm curious about, though, is how to directly query the database as opposed to using DataGridView or bound controls.Note that I have the following setup at this point.
DataSet --> BindingSource --> TableAdapterManager --> TableAdapter --> DataGridView
Where along that list would I inject my queries and how would I go about doing it?
Asp.net - CompareValidator And NOT Submitting Form?
Jun 28, 2011I have a textbox and a submit button. The textbox is a date-entry field. Attached to it, I have a compare validator with the type set to "date". It does validate and show an error message.
Problem is, the user can still click on the submit button. I'd like to prevent that. If the user has entered something like 03/hello/2011, he or she should not be able to submit the form.

Asp.net - Form Not Submitting And No Error Is Being Produced With MVC
Sep 25, 2009I have a form in my MVC application that in theory should submit data back to my database using a Repository class. However, when I submit the form ([URL]), the URL changes to where the form should be submitting to, which is fine ([URL]), but once it has been submitted, it should send the user to a confirmation page. From what I can tell, I'm moving through all my pages correctly until it comes to the submit, where it displays the form again but under /Admin/NewUser/Submit and the data is not inserted into the database.

Jan 18, 2010I am writing a little application for our end users. I am trying to perform a search, which takes 1 input and clicking a button.I have tried a couple attempts but have failed. I'm not sure where to start, because debugging it doesn't help me see what's going on.

Fill Out Forms Without Submitting POST In System.Net?

Instead, I need to access directly the DOM object, and somehow click or interact it programmatically.

Submitting A Form With My Program Which Is Using The WebBrowser Control?
Mar 28, 2009I am having trouble submitting a form with my program which is using the WebBrowser control.
WebBrowser.Document.All("follow").InvokeMember("click")
I tried this but it did not work. The result is that the WebBrowser displays "This program cannot display the webpage" error page. The problem I think, is that the page is using javascript when it comes to submitting the form.This is the code for the submit button:

Is there any way to invoke that javascript submitIt() method through VB.net?
VS 2008 : Submitting Large Text Amounts With .net?
Oct 11, 2010if I want to submit a large amount of text to my asp web page, do I need to worry about the text itself such as containing "&a=" that would mean another variable is being assigned for submitting data? Any way of not worrying about this? Or do I need to replace the & symbol everywhere in the test first if used?

Dec 13, 2011I'd like to know if there are other ways to write a submission program (submitting urls or pad xml to directories, submission sites, blogs) other than using the webBrowser. I've evaluated some shareware programs that submit urls or data very quickly, like 100s in a matter of mins. I couldn't write a program using a webBrowser because it might take 15 secs just to load the url. How are they writing the code??

Jan 8, 2012I was wondering if it's possible to store application data within an application without storing the data in an external file. For example, in my application, the user can choose where he/she would like to store the files that the application creates. I need to make the application remember the location that the user specified. I've tried using My.Settings to save this information, but since my application is standalone, if the location of the application changes, the My.Settings information changes as well (unless I coded it incorrectly before). I would prefer not to store this data in a .txt file or something similar.

I am using Visual Basic 2010 and had the application converted from a visual basic 2008. The Imports Word = Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word .Net Reference file, but I thing the trial version of Microsoft Word has a different file extension.

Normally, when a user installs my app, he needs .NET Framework 4 to be installed, after that sopfilter and vlc. I want to make my application portable to run on computers without .NET Framework 4, sopfilter and vlc. I dont't want to make it using ThinApp beacause it takes very much time. Jun 5, 2011I am clueless on the whole thing and been reading a lot about it. So far, I saw some samples which are poorly documented and oritend to vb.net 2005. Is there any SDK oriented to vb.net 2010 and well-documented? After converting 2005->2010, it gives me errors and so I can't see the samples. Gruile SDK seems to work fine but it is very badly documented. I donno how it is initialized and interacted with at all as their API reference is poorly written.

Mar 4, 2012I want to insert a pause between the display of one control (a button) and the display of another control (a label) on a windows form. Specifically, I want the form to load with the button (and other controls) displayed, then, after a pause of two seconds, the label to display. I have tried timers, and .Sleep() but the effect is not what I want. That is, there is a pause before all of the controls are displayed, and all (including the label) are displayed at one time. I want most of the controls (all except the label) to display normally, then, after a two second pause, I want the label to display (on the same form).
