is it possible to get the correct time online? Because we are currently making a system that requires date and time. We are preventing a common error where the system time is outdated so we are going for online time and checking it in out system.

I have a table that has two time columns. One is a login time one is a logout time. I would like to be able to filter between the two, basically greater than the minimum selected and less than the maximum selected. I am using a monthly calendar to get me the spans of time but it is not working correctly. From there I would like to add the 4 columns in the table to a gridview. The date in the DB is the in following format:
2/23/2010 11:17:01 AM
I know how to get single elements from the table, or a column but not entire rows.
So i guess I have 2 problems, getting the filter for the SQL correct then binding the results to a table.

SLaks has answered most of my question, one problem remains. I need to figure out how to make it so the monthcalendar can select just one day and return that days values. Seems like the time is an issue since it is in the DB as stated above. Just comparing the dates is not enough.

It simply doesn't connect without any kind errors. Any ideas? I am using port 7771 as local and remote port.

Now as you can see it is sending the textbox1 text and then pressing enter then sending textbox2 text! Theres quite a few problems in that but before i discuss note: This code is in a Timer. Problem #1: It does not send the keys fully correct all the time because its trying to send them all at once! So i want it to send them 1 letter after the other with 200 ms sleep in them! Problem #2: The sleep is not working: The reason i know is because even after it did the first textbox1 text it didnt wait that 2000 ms!

I am developing a chat application using online connection to a mysql databbase. But i am facing a problem. After 10 minutes, MySQL closes all the chat connections because of the 600 seconds timeout (has been set by the host service i am using). I don't understand why is that happening cause every piece of my code which needs data from the database opens and closes the connection (i mean that it dosn't maintain the connection after the query's execution). If i .close() and .dispose() the connection, it still appears in mysql at sleep mode (it terminates only if i exit the program).

The file installs Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2010 Express. All of the tools in it seem to be for web development only.Where is vb express 2010 download for creating Windows forms, console apps etc.? Lately I have been making a program (I guess you could call it a trainer), which would read the process memory to get the character's coordinates in a game. It later makes a simple map and show it in a separate windows. I built this program in VB.net, and it works surprisingly well. The only problem is the fact that the memory address where the coordinates are stored, changes every time I restart the game. Could someone please help me find a way, for the program to find the correct address by itself? If it helps, the game I am referring to is Minecraft.

View 18 RepliesI have an SQL Database which has some end dates. I have used this little statement to make sure that the dates come out of the database in the right format
Execute("Set dateformat dmy")
And I use the below statement to enter the data in to a datatable and, with the above command, when I go to look at the data in datatable visualiser the dates seem to be in the correct dd/MM/yyyy format
"SELECT CID, expdate FROM Traineecerts WHERE iscurrent = 1"
Now when i try d1 = row("expdate") the format changes to the american MM/dd/yyyy format
Please note d1 refers to a variable with the type of date. Even if I format the dates after using d1 = format(row("expdate"),"dd/MM/yyyy") they don't change unless I make d1 a string. Is this normal?
I am trying to test is the innertext of a <td> tag corresponds with an <input> tag before clicking it. To be more clear I have a list of the MAC Addresses in my program and I want to delete a selected MAC Address from the website that matches the selected one.

I have recently been trying to follow this convention by creating my own EventArgs class and inheriting the system.eventargs, Then adding my own properties. The problem is as my projects get bigger/complex I seem to be writing multiple eventarg classes. I then decide to try and create a generic eventarg class but this then seemed pointless thinking it would be easier just to pass the object directly instead of wrapping it up in "someEventArg" i have created.

I'm writing a report scheduler that is somewhat of a clone to the backupexec scheduler and the layout can be seen in post #10 here: [URL]..It works great and saves/edits/deletes records just fine, but now i need to compare those records one at a time in a windows service that i'm writing in order to trigger automated report creation and emailing - i already have the report and i already have the code for the emailing, i'm just looking for the most efficient way to loop through the table (that i've pulled in to a dataset) and compare its records with the current date and time - if true, the event fires.
