Added A StatusStrip Control, Made Some Changes To Adding Items And Changed The Names?

In the windows form designer, I added a StatusStrip control, made some changes to adding items and changed the names of the items to names I would recognize, for instance I changed "ToolStripStatusLabel3" to "lblMode". All was fine until I inadvertenly deleted the StatusStrip. Now when I add it back to the form and try to change the name I get an error saying that the name "lblMode" is already in use. And sure enough it is listed in the items of the properties window, but not dislayed anywhere.
I am not sure how to resolve this. I know there is a window, I think its called "Project Designer" or something similar that is code where controls get added but I CANNOT find this window to view the code.

I've created a custom control that I insert into my window with the following code

The control in question contains several subcontrols, among others, a list. How can create the setup, so I can specify items that should be added to the list?

I'm quite new to WPF, but I suppose it's something along the lines of creating a dependency collection on ListExpander that takes object of the type SomeItem? I simply want to be able to give the control a few arguments which it can translate into items in the listbox contained within the the control.

I'm adding controls to a TableLayoutPanel in the form myTableLayoutPanel.Controls.Add(someControl, 5, 5), inserting the control in column 5, row 5. After that line of code has executed, I expect that the ColumnStyles and RowStyles properties of myTableLayoutPanel will contain ColumStyles for columns 0 through 5, and RowStyles for rows 0 through 5. This is not the case. where and when RowStyles and ColumnStyles are added to these properties and the best way to deal with adding styles when inserting new Controls?

I made project using VB.Net 2005 with multi languages, the first form is MDIParent form with MainMenu and toolbars also there is some changes in properties as righttoleft and text of forms.In my Mainmenu (Menustrip) there is opetion to change the UI Culture and I have already done but I need to change all texts in the form as mainmenu items anf form properties.My quetion is: how can I reload my form again to read the new texts names and mainmenu items names from resx file?

I am very new to Visual Basic, and I need to add items from my database to the ListView control. I have a table in the database called tblChannels that I would like to draw the information from and populate the ListView control in VB, in the form of a column. I currently am unsure about how to go about doing this. Previously I have created combo boxes that draw the information from the database, but trying this method for the ListView does not work how I want it to.

I've tried a couple things to add items to a combobox (I've also Googled a lot but haven't found anything for VB2010) and on top of that, how to make it so that if the user selects 10ms, it changes the Timer1.Variable to 10.

Is there any way to scroll in a StatusStrip when its controls exceed form viewing area? My StatusStrip acts as a taskbar with a lot of labels (acting as buttons) which if there are too many might go outside the bounds of the screen.

I have a program that adds controls on the fly to an auto-scroll panel. When the panel is scrolled (viewing the bottom of the panel for example) and a control is added, it looks like it is added assuming the top left corner of the panel is still at 0,0 when in fact it may be 0,500. I have made a Database.mdf that contains a table that Includes 3 diffrent Column Names.
1:"ID" This one i set to an primary key and i have also made it automaticlly put a number in order to the list. Like 1,2,3,4,5 for each data added. Data Type for this is int.
2:"WordCombination" Were i enter my word combination that i want it to look for)
3."TypeofCombination" Were i enter what the program should add to what i typed in texbox1 if it contains the WordCombination.
I want my program to se if texbox1 contains any of those WordCombinations in my database. And if thats true, Then i want it to show whats in the TypeofCombination + the text in texbox1 in texbox2. If i enter "What do you want ?" in Textbox1 i want the program to find that "What do you want ?" contains "you want" like in ID:1 WordCombination:you want. So becuse this is ture it should enter TypeofCombination in this case "Question:" + what i entered in Textbox1 to show in Textbox2.So if i write "What do you want ?" and click start. Textbox2 should show "Question: What do you want ?" If i Write "My name is Jake" and click start. Textbox2 should show "Answer: My name is Jake".If I Write "hello you Hi there Jacob" and click start. Textbox2 should show "Greeting: hello you Hi there Jacob".And i Should be able to add and delete Word Combinations Without having to change the program.

When I have changed the name of a table field name none of my combo boxes or grid views work properly. The TableAdapter still refers to the original name. Is there an easy way to make the change propergate through the program or do I have recreate all my TableAdapters.

I'm trying to make a collection class for buttons to address them as a whole, only I want to design the buttons at design time, and not add/set their properties programatically at runtime. Each button has its own image, so it doesn't seem right to add a bunch of lines of code which assign the properties when they're always going to be the same thing.Is it possible to create the controls at design time and then add them to an array at runtime? I did this, iterating through the buttons on the form and adding each of them to the class below.The problem is that once they're added they seem to be a different instance because changing their positions has no effect on the design-buttons on the form. Essentially i wanted the collection to be a reference to the items belonging to the form.Is that possible or should I be doing this a different way?[code]

how to use #ZipLib. I've tried there forum and I've looked on this and other sites . I'm still new to VB and trying to teach myself. Using items like a text box are easy but i don't know much about how to use added items such as #ZipLib. Examples of compress and decompress would be wonderful but if you show me what can that would be great too.

I have a number of textboxes and labels in a panel which has to scroll in order to view them all. The user is then able to scroll down and click on one of the labels which has a textbox that appears so the user can change the corresponding value in the label. For some reason, if the user has to scroll down at all to any of the labels that are initially out of view, when they click on the label the textbox appears far below as if it was at its initial position and not directly where the label currently is.

I'm using VB.NET 2010 When I try to add the items from a listbox to a textbox, I get a strange combination at the beginning of the textbox, but if I read further, the actual combination that I want is at the end.

on form1 , i have a combobox and a label. on form 2 , i have a checkbox , a textbox , and a label . in the textbox i input the name to be added to form 1 by combobox checked, and the label has a folder directory.
i can add the new item to the combobox on form 1, from the checked box on form 2. what i can't seem to figure out, is how to get the form1.combobox newly added item to show the folder directory label from form 2 on the form1's directory label when i click on the combobox item..

I am used to C like languages such as C#. I added a list box with a list of names. In the code behind I added the below code. When I run the code I am getting the MessageBox but it will state "UserName favorite color is " but does not show the color. I thought it might be misspelled or non-matching names but this is not the issue due to the names being correct.

i am wanting to add handler for controls i add at Page_load at page load i added several image buttons and applied the image urls using -i used the borderwidth propertiy for padding as was having trouble getting a cssclass to work. I have run into this problem a number of times, and I am not sure what I might be doing wrong - or if this is just a bug, or not going to work.I have a collection that I setup on my own (eg, collection class). I then cycle a Log file that has text entires and I read those, and then parse the entry and attempt to add it to my collection.
But as each entry is added, ALL records just get duplicated - in other words, as I add entry 2, both entrys 1 AND 2 wind up with the same values - as I add 3, all 3 entries get the same value - and this continues no matter how many entries. For example,
if I added 100 entries, I would have 100 duplicates of the last record added.I have stepped through the debugger and watched this occur and just cannot figure out why this is not working as it should. Here is the code...

I do not have any code to show, but using asp.net, vb.net, and SQL with stored procedures.If on a page I have an item that is added to the database and therefore that information is "saved", is there a way to have an ("exit without saving") button on the page that does away with those changes?Using infragisitcs ultrawebgrid, you add an item to one table. You can add an item to another table on that page. i assume adding these items to the table automatically saves in the database. There is also a text box but without clicking save I do not believe that those items are actually added to the database. Update panel is used, I don't know if that matters.
If after someone adds to the table but then decides.. oh wait.. I don't want to do this just yet, is there a "one-click" way to act as if I never visited that page to add info? I'm assuming it would be deleting the entries but this would have to be limited to deleting ONLY those items added while making... we don't want people adding info, then going back and deleting once the "save" button has been pushed.
