I am trying to create a custom control using vb.net.I have added a image to the user control and the problem I am having is that when I resize the image, the image seems to move as well.I want to be able to resize the user control height without moving the image on the user control.
everytime I resize the user control, it seems to move the image on it as well.Is there a way of leaving the image where it is without moving it as the user control moves?
I have created a User Control in VB 2005 that adds other controls dynamically. This is a fairly simple test project, with checkboxes added to the control at run-time. Here's the user control:
Public Class UserControl1 Public x
[Code]......
Then I built the test control and tried to added it to the Toolbox. When I did this--i.e., browsed to the dll and double-clicked it, I got the errror message:
"There are no components in ... that can be placed in the toolbox."
Is it even possible to add a User Control to the Toolbox without compile-time components?
I have a program that adds controls on the fly to an auto-scroll panel. When the panel is scrolled (viewing the bottom of the panel for example) and a control is added, it looks like it is added assuming the top left corner of the panel is still at 0,0 when in fact it may be 0,500. To see what I am talking about, create an empty "Windows Forms Application" project and insert the below code into it.
Friend WithEvents Panel1 As System.Windows.Forms.Panel Friend WithEvents btnAdd As System.Windows.Forms.Button Dim ButtonCount As Integer
I'm trying to, for example: Have a button control, and a picturebox(?) control. I need to figure out a way to make the Picturebox image the current snapshot of the Button. Is this possible? Should I be using WPF or something?
I dipped my toe in the world of user controls as needed to double buffer a panel control and now want to create a picturebox control with a thicker border. Writing a dice based game, the dice represented by pictureboxes when clicked are highlighted and their border style changes FROM BorderStyle.none TO BorderStyle.FixedSingle, which is where I want to increase the thickness of the border. My user control code increases the border thickness using the code below:-
i want to create a user control using WIA but i m get a error message at run time Error Assembly generation failed -- Referenced assembly 'Interop.WIALib' does not have a strong name. i m working of windows server 2003.
I am working on a windows form project and having some problem with UserControl Double Buffering.I created a usercontrol and has a background image, then on top of it I have few radio buttons and labels. Radio buttons and labels are all having transparent background as color. However, when I show and hide the User control, I can see the flickering on those labels and radio buttons that has transparent background. And I tried
Me.SetStyle(ControlStyles.DoubleBuffer _ Or ControlStyles.AllPaintingInWmPaint _ Or ControlStyles.UserPaint _

I have an application going here Form1 has a panel on it named TargetPnl. I need my TargetPnl to display my user control named Vviewer when I click my SearchBtn and also need it to disappear when I click another button.
I create a program that loop the images in the picturebox, now the concern is while the images is looping or changing the usage of the memory of the usage of the computer is going bigger.i mean it's added the new usage memory when picture is changing. i wanted to dispose the previous usage so that maintain the usage level, but i don't know how
how can i call a VB function - deleteevent() in usercontrol.ascx.vb from a javascript function in clickhandler(e) in usercontrol.ascx. The call should cause a postback because I need the usercontrol to display the changes.I am currently trying to do it by using a linkbutton with style display:none, and calling its click event from the javascript function. But i dunno how to call the click event.
I'd like to verify if an image control has an image loaded . If it does , I want to unload that image (and load no image) , but if the image control has no image loaded , I want to load an image . Is it possible ?
If ImageMY.Image.Equals(Nothing) Then ImageMY.Image = System.Drawing.Image.FromFile("C:ImageBlaBlaBla.jpg") Else
I have some jpeg images that are added to my application. The Copy To Output Directory property is set to Copy Always. Running from Visual Studio the images are accessed and if I install the application to a drive on my computer directly the images are accessed but if I publish my application to my web site and install via the publish.htm page then the images are never accessed regardless of what I have the Build Action set to.
If the Build Action is set to Content then it won't even install because I get an error that says the computed hash for the images doesn't match the manifest. I've tried all the different Build Action options without success. For Build Action = None, Compile and Embedded Resource I don't get the error I do for Content but the jpeg images aren't accessed. I'm using below code 2 add image into a picturebox during the run time. i could add image but when i clicked the picture to make it become smaller, the picture quality is blur which not as the initial picture.
I added to images (.png) to my resource folder. When I am coding, only the first image is showing in the intellisense. Example: PictureBox1.Image = My.Resource.Picture1 I cannot get it to show me: My.Resources.Picture2 even though picture2 is in the resource folder.
I have an aspx page that has two different user controls. I want to find user control A and be able to set properties, etc., from user control B.
I was thinking I could do something like this:
Dim CMFilters As Control = Me.Parent.FindControl("CMFilters")
...but that doesnt work to be able to set properties and call methods. I somehow need to get the user control and and declare it as that user control type.
I've searched until my eyes and fingers feel as if they are going to bleed. I cannot come up with the answers I'm looking for. I want to essentially create an inventory system without using a database (part of why the eyes are bleeding, keep getting directed on side tangents), that is fed by the user. IE, User enters a name of a product, it is added in to an array. As a designer I will not know the exact number of elements to be held within the array. The user will enter their chosen item in to a text box. So I'm looking for a way to take the value in the text box and add it to the array. I believe I would use the reDIM function to do this, but beyond that I've got nothing. I'm unsure of how to reference the value stored in a text box.
I have the following code on a form named: frmRegister. The aim of this form is to add a new user to a database. However, currently the code exectures with no errors and the success MsgBox is displayed, but the user is not added to the database.I can't seem to pin point the error.[code]
I'm using the arrow keys to move an animated gif around a form. However when I add a button control to the form the animated gif no longer responds to the arrow keys.
#include "stdafx.h" using namespace System; using namespace System::Drawing;
In the project I'm working on I've been using some gif images to define one or more texture brushes. I have the images in a folder and I know how to define the texture brushes as follows.
[Code]...
Let's say I add the images as image files to my application using "Add Existing Item". Is there a way I can define the texture brushes with the images that have been added to the solution in that way and if so could you show me the exact code.
I have a form with a panel on it (among other controls). I am trying to load picture boxes into the panel (in an attempt to make a star grid). Using the code below, I get a "Top-level control cannot be added to a control." error on the "Parent = Me.Panel7" line.
Searching for this error, I came across a solution to change the TopLevelControl property of the panel to FALSE....but I then get an error "TopLevelControl is read only".
Public Class frmMain Private Sub frmMain_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load LoadPictureBoxes()
how would I go about creating a payment schedule based on a date and a number of months 3 or 6 or 12 to then populate the database with reoccurring dates so lets say new user added on 31/10/2011 for 6 months I need the database to add all the dates for the six months
I have created a datagrid of my own in vb dotnet and converted to dll. I add this dll to a project.i have 2 forms and i have added this control on 2 forms. When i run the project and open 2 forms simentaneously an error " reference not set to an instance of an object" occurs on acess of any property of that control.
I am currently wokring on a project, which is going to serve as an interface for accessing various documentation and reports. It is basically just a tabcontrol with a few pages that will be poppulated with buttons which will open the appropriate document.I am trying to allow administrative users the ability to add new, edit or remove buttons which all seems relatiively simple, but have run into the problem of how to persist the changes once they are made. I want the setting to be stored centrally, either in a SQL table or on a network share
I am trying to add icons to a listview that would contain a list of programs added by the user. I am pulling my hair out over this. I had the solution a few days ago and then I decided to go in another direction and then cleared my browser history. I have searched for that code for awhile now to no avail. First person gets a cookie.
I have a form, with lables and textboxes added at runtime. The labels and textboxes are added properly on form load and display as expected. The form allows tabing into each of the textboxes, but the textbox does not allow user input.
Is this a problem with the way I show the form to the user? >> this particular form is called (frmname.show) from a different form -- If I test this form directly, without being called from a different form, it allows user input in the textboxes. Is it because of the properties I used to create the textbox? >> properties used were - .name, .size, .location, .tag
I have a list view with 2 columns (Prodduct and Price). I want the user to be able to add there own values to the listview and have them save so that they will always stay there.I would also like users to be able to delete specific items from the saved list.
The values added to the colums are paired, and must stay together, as one value would be a product and the other a price, So they must, stay together. as a pair
