Associate Colors With A A Specific User In A Datatable

On my datatable (I hope that's the correct word) I have two columns that I want to store color values. I changed the data type to "System.Drawing.Color".
However it would appear I cannot simply type in the string (e.g: "Color.Black") to add it to the database. And when using an update SQL query and make it look for color values on the form, it wants to convert them to string.
Is it possible to store color values like this in this way or do I have use another method?

VB.NET 2008 windows app form.I have a groupbox with several checkboxes, comboboxes, and textboxes within it.With the help of StackOverFlow members, I've learned how to use the FOR/NEXT loop to find all checkboxes that are checked.[code]As you can see by the code sb.tostring will print every checked checkbox name on its own line.How do I associate the proper combobox.selecteditem, textbox.value, and checkbox name to print out on the same line.When I say proper...example; checkbox=pen, combobox=color, textbox=quantity.Let's say my other checkboxes are different items and the rest of the boxes are the same.

This doesn't seem like something that should be confusing or difficult, but I'm having a hard time finding the answer to this problem. I want to copy columns with their data, not rows, from one large DataTable to a smaller one.I have a DataTable with many columns of data (around 20), and a string array of the columns (4 ) that I want in the copied DataTable. Is there a reasonable way to accomplish this task?

Is it possible in to filter out certain columns from a datatable? If suppose a datatable dt1 has 3 columns and I want to have a new datatable dt2 with the values of only 1 column from dt1 then what is the best approach to do it? I know a rowfilter exists for dataview of a datatable but there is no column filter as such.

i fill a datatable in a typed dataset.. it has cities and states but I want to pull just distinct states and bind it to a control etc.. there is the filter, but i havent found a way to do distinct or group by. got to be a way without adding more datatables and filling them with data thats already there right?

The following code above does write to column 3 row 1, but if you say .rows(1), i get "there is no row at position 1". So, in summary if I have 7 columns, and I created a second row I want to write to column 3 and the 2nd row.

I am trying to program a noise reduction algorithm that works with a set of datapoints in a VB.NET DataTable after being helped with my other question. Basically, I want to take two integers, a coordinate value (yCoord for example) and a threshold smoothing value (NoiseThresh), and take the average of the values in the range of (yCoord - NoiseThresh, yCoord + NoiseThresh) and store that number into an array. I'd repeat that process for each column (in this example) and end up with a one-dimensional array of average values. My questions are:
1) Did anything I just say make any sense ;), and
2) Can anyone help me with the code? I've got very little experience working with databases.

I have a program that allows a user to select a program to run at a certain time for a specific amount of time all choosen by the user. Everything works with the exception of if my program has launched the other program, my program become non-responsive. Meaning I am not able to look at that window again. Not that one really needs too, because when time is up my program closes the program it opened, then closes itself. I just want to be able to see my program when the other program is running. how to do this and perhaps drop me some links, that would be wonderful. I need to be able to add a user's code to the end of the url of each page they go to. I am a user, go to my site and type in my user code - which is NOT a login. There is no password, in theory there will be a box or some type of control that will allow a user to enter their code in. This control will then add that user's code to the end of each URL for every page in the site and will also auto-populate all of the products in our database that are tied to that code. The user is like a business or affiliate marketer. We need that code at the end of each URL that way when he sends his clients emails with links in them for purchasing, the client will click the link, and that marketer will get credit for the sale(s).

I have a SQL db that holds the records for my page. On my page I have a details view I want to populate with records from my db. I can populate the records just fine, I need to be able to populate in records based on a user selection from a drop box?To clarify, on my main page I have a drop down list with years (ie. 2011, 2010, 2009), and a drop down containing account codes (ie. six-digit numbers). Based on what the user chooses for the year (for example 2010) and the what they choose for the account code (for example 123456) I want to populate the details view (which is on a seperate page) with only those records from 2010 and with the account code 123456??

I am building an ASPX web site which has several pages and multiple users.I grab specific info about each user such as UserName, ID, etc. when they start a session and I need to retain this info and have access to it from each page (which has it's own class).I know i can create a global file and share variables publicly, but i need the variable values to be specific to the user, not the entire application.

I'm trying to create a User form that has six inputs.
1.) User input textbox 5.00 to 60.0 inches only accepted.
2.) User input textbox 2.50 to 30.0 inches only accepted.
3.) User input textbox 6, 8, & 10 nominal input only accepted.
4.) User input textbox 60% or 65% only accepted.
5.) User input textbox 2.50 to 30.0 inches only.
6.) User input textbox where 500 shows up in the box as "standard" but can be changed by user input.
Then an "OK & Cancel" button. I don't know whether to use a dialog box or a form, what class, masked text box vs. not masked, etc.

I'm playing with XML, DataGridView control, DataSet and DataTable. [code] the user can edit/add records via DataGridView control. So, when the user enters a string value where it is expected to give an integer value(first column and third column), it would give a big error message. I am making a program with tabs, and in each tab is a textbox for editing a file (like how VB's designer does). How can I match up a textbox with a tab so that the cut, copy, paste, select all, etc. in the menu can tell what textbox to preform actions on? basically i am doing a golf scoring project in vb.net express 2008 and im trying to update a specific row in the table depending on the user i am updating. however it doesnt work and the error message that appears says that there is a syntax error in the update statement but i have no idea where the error is. msgbox(sql) shows that all of the variables are what they should be so i dont think its that.
