i am new to VB.NET and am creating an application for twitter, my problem is that i have a datagrid on my form. On my code i have created a dataTable to store the user messages in one column and the usernames in the other column. My problem is that i cannot add a third column to the dataTable to store the user images, how do i do this? my sample code is as below :

I would like to make my 'Image File Path' column in my datatable set to a 'DataGridViewImageColumn'. I would then like each of the rows in this column to display a image. The image value would be populated from the 'image file path' contained in that cell of the datatable. At the moment i cannot get this to work no matter how many times i try it. At best it just shows the same image in every row and in the wrong column. As the table is populated 'dynamically' when a search is performed this is proving very hard. Below is an image showing the table and what results i am currently getting:

I am coding a program that will allow the user to input 5 payrolls for Store 1, Store 2, and Store 3. The total of the 5 payrolls are then added together and shown in the respective Store's labels. A total label is also there to add up all the totals into one number. The numbers in the label must be in currency form. My problem is the numbers don't add correctly when I hit calculate. The first two numbers add together, but then after that the number just seems to subtract a random amount.

The idea is to scan a folder of images and then let the user navigate back and forth through the images using a couple of buttons.The problem is, I can only get it to return a single image, and not the whole lot. It has to deal with LOTS of images (100's potentially) There will be the set of default images, and then the user created replacement images. I started loading all the defaults into a resx file... thinking then I could just pull them out. now that I started setting the default, this sucks! lol the app will do this, on load it will set all the images (variables) to the resx images then when a theme is loaded, it will replace the default with the user image (if the user img exists) otherwise, the default stays. Then the "screen" is drawn to show the user. so, here is just the images to build the wallpaper, dock, and status bar...

How do i store and call images in a SQL database?
View 4 RepliesAt the moment each Company on my website have 1 picture they can add to their profile.I save that image into the database.its their Company Logo.Now i want to allow them to add more pictures. Now i don't know if i must save it all in the database or save it in folders???? Reason why i think folders will be better is because there are so much nice articles with fancy silver light kinda features that i can use but all of them only cater for images saved in folders.And since i am not THAT good its hard for me to change the code to look at the database instead of the examples that uses folders for image retrieval.I would like to add something like this to my website (browsing through the images).Any code examples for me on how to do this when images are saved in the database? We are trying to store and retrieve datatable as blob (varbinary(max)). We convert the existing datatable into an xml file and store that xml file as a blob and while retrieving we get the blob as xml file and convert it back to datatble. It seems to be storing and retrieving the xml object but having issues while converting it back to the datatable ("End of stream - error").

Now i can think of two ways to accomplish this, first is loop through the whole table and do the statements to get my new columns appropriate data. the second approach would be to give the new column an expression, then convert the table to xml (to remove the expression) then convert the xml string back to datatable.
Now, is there any other way around this? what could be the most optimized way in solving this task?

I have a gridview where ALL cells have a value that is an image from the filesystem, but I need to access these files for a certain function and so I've been trying to create a method that disposes of all these images thereby freeing them up on the filesystem (was received permission denied errors). The following loop worked for the first row of images but I can't work out how to do it for all rows:

What I need to do is simply copy all the values contained by column NumarMasina into Combobox1 of my Form. (i marked with red the values I need to copied into my combobox(combobox1 of my form) in fact there are 10 values I missed the last one. You can run the ddl provided below in sql server to see the output from my printscreen.
When I run the form in my combobox there are imported the values from NumarMasina column. (so this must be done in form_load callback it's sure).
Just need to import the values from column NumarMasina of table PatrimoniuMasini automatically into combobox1 when I start my application.[code]...
I have a DataGridViewImageColumn with an image in it I would like to make the only area to perform a function of mine when I click it. I can click the row and get it to work but can't seem to only make just the imagecloumn the clickable region.
So as an example I have

i have a datagridview with three columns. i set the first column to visible=false, so the user can only see two columns.when the user presses the tab key in the first visible column -- column(1), i want to ignore column(2) so that the user only tabs through the rows in column(1)i can't get it to work. it will always tabs through the rows in column(2) even if i use the column name.

Basically, I want to take two integers, a coordinate value (yCoord for example) and a threshold smoothing value (NoiseThresh), and take the average of the values in the range of (yCoord - NoiseThresh, yCoord + NoiseThresh) and store that number into an array. I'd repeat that process for each column (in this example) and end up with a one-dimensional array of average values. My questions are:
1) Did anything I just say make any sense ;), and
2) Can anyone help me with the code? I've got very little experience working with databases.
