Force Verticle Scrollbar To Be Visible In Panel?

Aug 4, 2011

I have a Windows Forms VB.NET application, with a panel that contains a few other controls.I set the panel's AutoScroll property to True, and that seems to appropiately apply the scroll bars when they are needed. The issue is that a user must scroll all the way to the right to access the verticle scroll bar. Is there a way to always show the verticle scrollbar no matter where the user is scrolled horizontally?

Table Layout Panel Horizontal Scrollbar?

Sep 19, 2011

I'm using a TLP and it contains controls that exceeds it's height, so it's normal for a vertical scrollbar to be displayed. So far so good, but i can't figure out why a horizontal scrollbar is also being displayed when my controls width do not exceed that of the TLP. Is there some way to remove this horizontal scrollbar?

Textbox With Vertical Scrollbar - Get The Scrollbar Position Without Having To Reposition The Carat?

Oct 21, 2010

So with the stock Textbox, I set the Scrollbars property to Vertical. This is great if the text in my box never changes; I can scroll up and down while the box sits still. If I'm running a background operation that logs output to the box though, the scrollbar resets itself to the top every time I append text to the box.

I know I can set the Textbox.Selection property (or use the Select method) to reposition the carat in the textbox, make note of that position in a variable, then append text, reset the carat, and use the ScrollToCarat method to reposition the scrollbar where it belongs. That's a really (ridiculously) long way around. Anybody know if there's another/better way of holding the scrollbar position, short of actually building a custom control (or using a Textbox and a separate Scrollbar)? It never hurts to try. In a worst case scenario, you'll learn from it.

Ignore Mouse Event On Label Inside Panel?

Jun 30, 2011

I am making a custom menu. I am applying colors on panels on mouse enter and mouse leave.I have labels on these panels, and the mouse enter and leave events work snappy, but as soon as I hover over the label (on/inside) the panel, the mouse leave event is fired. I know I can just do the same thing for the label mouse enter event, but I am doing some other visual stuff, and I need to have the label mouse events totally disregarded.

VS 2008 - Autohide Panel Which Will Show When Mouse Enters Some Area

Oct 9, 2010

I'm trying to make some autohide panels, which will show when mouse enters some area, and hide when mouse leaves the panel. This is however not so straight forward. I can handle MouseMove event for the form, to trigger "show" panel, and I can handle MouseEnter event for the form, to trigger "hide" when mouse leaves the panel. But this is not consistent, since sometimes mouse will leave the panel directly onto another control, and sometimes it will leave the panel directly "from" a control on the panel, and not from the panel itself.

Of course I could do the slow work and make logic for each control, but that is not very neat. Is it possible in some way to capture the mousemove event regardless of which control mouse is above?

Mouse Hover And Mouse Leave To Open And Close The Window Form

Nov 5, 2009

how to raise the mouse leave and mouse hover events for VB when i place my mouse cursor over the button.

When my mouse cursor is over the buttons, it will raise the mouse hover event and open the form, then when the mouse leaves the button, it will close the form upon raising the mouse leave event.

but currently, When i excute this two events, the for will open and close very, very fast. so fast that it is like spamming the VB.

So i am wondering how to change the code that i have to excecute the event one time every time the mouse is over the button which is created at run time.

the codes to execute these two events are:

Private Sub Button_MouseLeave(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
For Each ctl As Control In PictureBox1.Controls

[Code].....

Mouse Hover And Mouse Leave To Open And Close The Window Form?

Nov 12, 2009

[URL] I have tried heslacher's method which is Hi clzanas, you problems had been the result of calling a for each loop inside the events. If you only want for the button you hoover / leave to call the ShowDetails.Open/close, then you can take the code below:

Private Sub Button_MouseLeave(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
If TypeOf sender Is Button Then
ShowDetails.Close()

[code]....

But i got the same results as my previous code, resulting in the form opening and closing so fast that it is like spamming the window.
