I want to change the default behaviour of headers in a datagrid. By default, if the sum of all column's width is lower than datagrid's width, then background color appears on the header and I want to keep it just like header's color, as ListView does. I've attached an image to show you in a better way what I want.

When I hit the "Del" key the same method which gets called on menu item click is fired. how to angle the text headers in a datagrid? I'm trying to duplicate the feature in excel to create a header at a 45 degree angle because the text is long. I'm using VB 2008 express.

I want to prevent users from selecting the header items. I managed to revert back to the previously selected item if user selects the header item. Problem with this approach is drop down collapses and then reverts back to previously selected item. Is there a way to check, if the item being selected is a header item and if it is a header item, do not collapse the dropdown. Basically I want to implement behavior of HTML select list with optgroup.

I am trying to display an excel spreadsheet on a page using datagrid, but for some reason it is filtering out some of the cells, leaving a blank space instead. Also, the "$" sign won't show up in most of the columns.Could someone please take a look at my site and file, and give a suggestion as to why this would be happening? I have in my database a table for Products with one field as Price. For each invoice i want to be able to change this default price, so in my table for Invoice Details I have made another field called Price1. When I am entering invoice details and i enter a product number i want my program to select the relevent default 'Price' and insert it into 'Price1' so that it will be editable and so it can be saved to my database.

Is there a way I can add arrows or something to this control so that it is more user-friendly when changing from AM to PM? I have a vb.net app that uses PrintPreviewDialog to print a document. Now I want the user to be able to print to any printer on the network. So, I created a listbox of available printers which works fine. Now, I need to either change the windows default printer to the one selected, or make the PrintPreviewDialog use that printer name.

I have Excel 2003 and 2007 loaded on my computer. When I open an Excel file, it is defaulting to 2003. How do I check to see what the default program is for opening xls files and change this to 2007 in my code? I have already done the following manually:

2-Go to Tools --Folder options

I am inheriting my own DataGridView (say MyDataGridView) from the standard DataGridView control. What I want is that certain properties of MyDataGridView should have a different default value than what its base have. For example, AllowUserToAddRows, AllowUserToDeleteRows, AllowUserToResizeRows properties should have the default values of False; so that when I drag MyDataGridView into a form in the IDE, the default values shown in the properties grid should be False. Later on, if I want to change them to True from the grid, they will be set accordingly.
