Asp.net - Fire A Button From Javascript?
May 27, 2011I have a menu on my aspx page which looks beautiful. It's exactly what I need (found it here).
Problem that I have is this: I need (somehow) to kick off a button control from the javascript. I realize that in the example, the menu items are simply href links, but I'm wondering how I could possibly do a postback and kick off my Button1_OnClick event.

Sep 3, 2010This is in ASP.NET. We are using a ExtJS frontend, and have our own VB.NET controls to make all the Ext Forms and stuff. However, I hope this can be done in plain javascript. There is already some Javascript on the page for the 'Test Connection' button click and handling the result.However, I need validation on the screen to make sure that a user tests the connection BEFORE saving the screen. (Hits the test button before hitting the save button) -- EACH time they visit the screen.

A button called "Upload" will uploaded the file separately from saving the whole form. I set up a httpHandler to upload files in chunks, and it should be fired after user click "Upload". Adding Return Confirm Javascript To Asp.net Radio Button?
Jun 30, 2011I want it so that when a user clicks on a radio button, it gives them an OK/Cancel javascript dialog box - if they click OK the code for the radio button will run, if they click Cancel, nothing happens.For a button I can easily do this by changing the OnClientClick property, but with a radio button I can't get anything to work properly.

JavaScript - Cannot Access ExtJS Radio Button On Form
Sep 13, 2010I have an .aspx page. In this grid I'm adding a bunch of controls. The first control however is an ExtObject, not one of our preset VB.NET controls. When I go to access the value on the backend for this field with this code:
form.AndOr.getValue()
It doesn't work. Basically, the radio button value isn't saving when I save the rest of the stuff. So I tried to add code to do it. It was just defaulted to 'And' each time. Below is a snippet of code from the actual asp.net grid.

Jun 10, 2012I have a asp grid with a few columns that bind to data. The last column has been converted to a template-field. In this template-field is a button with a modal popup extender attached to it. Hidden inside this field is a modal popup. This modal popup is used to add a new account. it contains 2 text boxes, drop down lists and buttons("Add" and "Cancel"). When "add" is clicked the modal should close after the inserting of the new account in the code behind.
The Problem: I get the popup to display and load the Drop down lists from the cache, without problem. How do I get the button click event to fire in the code behind. I've tried using a JavaScript function that performs a _doPostBack('btnAddAcc','') but it keeps returning the error "JavaScript error: Object expected". I gathered after about 1 hour on Google that it is because "btnAddAcc' is not found because it is actually within the grid-view cell and can't be directly accessed. Using page methods and ajax calls is a last resort as the company has a strict policy against this and only allowes this after a bunch of paperwork.

On the Form I have created an Export, File and Edit button.With the edit button I would like the user to be able to select whether they would like to save the 1st,2nd,3rd sheet and so forth.
I would like to create a window/Form within the edit button that would say something like "select excel sheet" along with a save button where the required sheet number could be saved or selected as a standard save procedure everytime.I know that I need to do this with the settings.settings control. I have tried numerous ideas up until now but it continues to baffle me.
