VS 2008 Dynamic Generation Of TableLayoutPanel

Mar 19, 2009

I have a container with different controls in it. This container can be shown 1 or more timeson a form. The number of times is not known when the application is build. So form with the number of containers must be generated by code. When the number of containers is high a scroll bar must be shown. My idea was to use the control TableLayoutPanel. The first row consists of the container with it's controls. When loading the form a number is calculated. This number is used to show the number of containers.

Error : "Concurrency Violation: The UpdateCommand Affected 0 Of The Expected 1 Records"

Jul 27, 2009

I am working on a program whereby insert, update and delete of database is required, i have been able to do so successfully but the above error occurs when i tried to insert a new row of data into the database and tried to edit it and update it to the database. The database platform i used is SQL server 2005 and i am using datagridview to display my data, my primary key is "s/n" which is an auto number, however, whenever after i insert data into the database, the newly added row has the "s/n" column blank shown in the datagridview and after i edited that row and tried to update it, the error occurs.

VS 2005 : Error : The Project Type Is Not Supported By This Installation

Jul 15, 2010

I've downloaded the MSDN "101 VB Samples" from the MS site and I'm getting an error that reads "The project type is not supported by this installation". I can open the other files that I've tried (about a dozen in other folders), so I'm wondering if it is something specific with the VSTO files, or something about my VB setup.

I thought at first it was a problem with the path where the file is sitting, but even moving it from C:Documents and Settings[my name]My DocumentsMSDN to C: didn't work...Edit: I have also tried opening in notepad and converting the file to UTF-8, changing the File Association from MS Visual Studio version selector to devenv.exe, and running devenv /setup at the command prompt, all with no luck (all these ideas were found through Googling the error message....).
