I want to have a confirmation message box pop up when a user clicks the cancel button on a form. I believe this would be the correct javascript code:

I'm currently coding a button which will delete a record from a database if clicked. However, I want some sort of confirmation after they click it so there are no accidents. I was imagining a popup box that tells them they are about to delete this record with two buttons cancel and OK. If cancelled, nothing happens, but if OK is pressed, then the server would execute the delete as coded. How would I do this in asp/vb?

I am using jQuery confirmation box within my listView and the confirmation box displayed with the user clicks delete. The problem that I am faced with, is that when the user clicks OK it, the lvAlbums_ItemDeleting event is not fired.

I have spent days looking at different jQuery confirmation box examples but this is the best I can do. Ideally I would want to be use [URL] within gridviews, dataViews and ListViews but can't find examples which exactly provide steps to follow.

When I selected a record in datagridview and hit delete, it always deleted the first row in the datagridview then if I tried to delete any of the row again, it would not let me. I would like the selected row to be deleted,how I can do that?

I think from what I've been reading I've tried everything currently I am using a timer to grab it by its caption and its very unprofessional Here is the image of what im trying to stop the "are you sure you want to leave this page thing" [URL] I want to hopefully stop it in any way I can rather then by timer and caption.

The timer method it still pops up = semi fail

I've got an sql datareader that has a bunch of paths in it. I need to open up multiple pop up windows / multiple tabs on the browser.So I tried looping through my datareader and doing a ClientScript.RegisterStartupScript but after the code completes nothing opens up.

I was offered this interesting scenario by a visitor of my site and have been trying a few approaches, but not seeming to get it quite right. I have a Form with a WebBrowser control (or an AxWebBrowser if that works too) and on the page loaded in the browser, is a link that uses javascript to open a new popup window.This popup window I am unable to take "ownership" of and it launches in a new instance of the user's default browser (IE for this scenario). I need to then interact with that javascript popup window which now is not part of my application. If I needed to set a value of an input box on that form, how would I accomplish that if I can't "interact" with the form?

I am trying making a form to apear in the corner when a timer goes off. I have a loading function that loads all the times into arrays and sends it to a thread that runs a loop till todays date = date time. The problem I am having is I cant get the popup form to initialize properly. It either doesn't load the labels or background and the window is instantly unresponsive or it just blinks onto the screen and off before it does anything.

View 7 RepliesI have a asp grid with a few columns that bind to data. The last column has been converted to a template-field. In this template-field is a button with a modal popup extender attached to it. Hidden inside this field is a modal popup. This modal popup is used to add a new account. it contains 2 text boxes, drop down lists and buttons("Add" and "Cancel"). When "add" is clicked the modal should close after the inserting of the new account in the code behind.
The Problem: I get the popup to display and load the Drop down lists from the cache, without problem. How do I get the button click event to fire in the code behind. I've tried using a JavaScript function that performs a _doPostBack('btnAddAcc','') but it keeps returning the error "JavaScript error: Object expected". I gathered after about 1 hour on Google that it is because "btnAddAcc' is not found because it is actually within the grid-view cell and can't be directly accessed. Using page methods and ajax calls is a last resort as the company has a strict policy against this and only allowes this after a bunch of paperwork.

I have a aspx page with several input fields(couple of int's and strings) and 3rd party gridview. Data is validated, and stored procedure is called from code behind to save data in DB. Gridview has capability to display error box to user which can be called from code behind. So when I catch exception I give it my error message(error message is something like:"Data can't be saved to database. Error:" & ex.message and call function that displays errorbox.

I'm trying to use the WebKit-component ([URL]) in VB with the help of Visual Studio 2008. This is running without problems, except for two following two issues:
1. Hints/Tooltips are not shown (e.g. as there usually will appear one if you stay with the mouse over the Google-logo)

I'm working with a Silverlight Popup control (SL4). I would like to update data shown on that popup every time the user opens it (IsOpen=true) by passing a string and calling a Private method located in the Popup control behind code to fetch updated data.
I was hoping to place code to make this happen in the Opened event of the Popup, but such an event does not seem to exist (even though I found some documentation on it).
