I am going to create a web server control representing a treeview. So I want to use 2 images for + and - for expand/collapse. How can I build this into the control in a way that can be used as image source when rendered on the page? Since this will be in a compiled web controls library, I don't want to rely on external images in the web application.

My Assembly name is MyWebControls.My Root Namespace is MyCompany.MyWebControls.The images plus.gif and minus.gif are located in a folder named Resources, and the images have Build Action set to Embedded Resource.It still does not work. I get no errors. I have tried the generated image url directly in the browser, bot nothing happens, just a blank page.
Note:I tried to use an invalid path in the resource name, and the result was exactly the same, which made me wonder if I need to do something special to map the actual resource to the resource name. I got a 404 Not Found error only if I used different name in the code than what was specified in AssemblyInfo, it had nothing to do with path was pointing to an actual resource!

i made a vitual dekstop and i have a few problems that to be fixed. The first problem i have is that i have a picturebox as the entire form like the desktop background but the progrblem is that i have some group boxes over that picturebox box. The picture below to the left comes from PictureBox with a text string drawn with Graphics.DrawString. The font style used is Arial 48 points, regular, I think. The picture in PictureBox shows just as I configure. Great... The resolution of the original Terri Hatcher picture is 300 dpi (300 x 300). Exporting this picture with Graphics.DrawString, I get the picture below to the right. The text string appears a lot bigger than previously shown in PictureBox. It turns out that the text size varies, depending on the resolution of the original picture. That's kind of odd. I develop several graphics applications in a different environment and have never seen this sort of graphics.drawstring thing. Anyway,

I can change the pixels/edit the picture by Dim img as new bitmap(picturebox1.image)

now here is the weird part. When I save the image the filesize INCREASES..but the picture dimensions are the same Example... TEST.PNG 1.3KB, when opened up via picturebox/saved the image is now 2.3KB
not sure why...i even though I specify system.drawing.imaging.imageformat.PNG
samething with JPG... it actually SHRINKS it evenmore.. example 88KB jpeg.. saved as jpeg is now 47.7KB...

I need help with a vb app. Currently it takes a character separated list as input and outputs an sql insert. In the list are urls among other data. What the app currently does is download the source of the first url then load the first jpeg for viewing. At this point I accept, deny, or cancel. If I accept or cancel we move to the next url. If I deny we move to the next jpeg in that source and I'm given the dialog again.
I'm not real familar with VB; I just know that its relatively easy to hack out a solution.. an ugly one in my case. I'm now realizing the way I've done this is too time consuming. What I want is to load the url in a vb browser and then be able to click an image and get its source and move on to the next url. It would also be nice if the images were outlined like with the web developer plugin for firefox. I assume I could just add some css to the soure of each url. Alternatively, I could throw out the vb browser and load each image in some kind of list control.

This isn't difficult and I know how to do it except this time in the source of the page there is no image url yet on the page if i right click copy source on the image there is a full link to it. See what im trying to do:
1. Imagine that you turn on your pc. takes some time to load.
2. Finally for the first time you are on the desktop.
3. Before you do something after every icon is loaded my program
takes a picture of the desktop and blurs it.
4. then it runs fullscreen showing the desktop behind as blurred and
not giving you access to the desktop.
5. a login/register border pops up
6. if you login the program closes if you dont it stays there

I wont use it that way im planning to do it on the startup of my program only blur the window not the screen (i mean the content of my window) untill you login or register then it clears again. What i need to learn:
1. How to take a screenshot of my program (only yhe content of the window) [Progress: 1% (cause i know how to take a screenshot of the desktop)]

As I have no idea on how to retrieve access data at the specific location in the table, so I wrote VBA code t export the entire access database to a datagridview which is located in the form1. There's a column of datagridview contain complete address information of a image. I'm thinking a way to link image source (of form 2 or xaml file) to the the column so that the image will be displayed. is there any code to get cell value at the specific location in the table? In excel VBA, sheets("Sheetname").Cells(rownumber, columnnumber).value is used to get the cell value, but how about code for this case?
