Taking A Screenshot As A System.Drawing.Bitmap And Send It Thorough A Network?
Nov 18, 2010
I'm taking a screenshot as a System.Drawing.Bitmap and trying to send it through a network as a byte array. If I take the original screenshot and simply save it to disk, it's about 200Kb.Instead I'm saving it to a memorystream so I can write that back to a Byte Array and it's coming out over 6Mb.
I', working on a program where there are several projects within a solution. The solution contains a forms application, a couple of class libraries, and a public interface.I'm running into a strange problem where I can access the system.drawing.bitmap namespace from the main form and from one of the class libraries, but when I try to access it from the other class library or the interface, it tells me it is not defined. I've tried importing it, and calling it directly with no luck.
I have a VB.NET Windows Forms app with a logo image on the form as a System.Drawing.Bitmap inside a PictureBox.I used the Visual Studio Designer to add the logo .bmp image so I don't currently have any VB code doing anything with it.I'd like to make the current logo a clickable object/button so when I click on it a file browser dialog opens and I can select a new image to replace the current image. The current image is a local resource and is set in a PictureBox as a System.Drawing.Bitmap.How would I replace that System.Drawing.Bitmap with a file selected from the file browser dialog?
I need to capture a screen image of a region in my form. So to say it easily me.captureimage.region (X,Y,Width, hight). I need only to take a screen-shot of the region on my form. So i can set the X adn Y and Width , hight to for example my button. so it has to take an image of my button.
Any way to prevent my application from taking screen shot. I am using this method If Clipboard.ContainsImage = True Then Clipboard.Clear() If this is correct? And also what about screen capture application they take the screen shot without using clipboard what is logic behind it and if there is any way to resolve it?
I stumbled upon an excellent article about taking screenshots of specific windows in .NET, and doing something with black and white color rectangles behind those windows in order to preserve the aero effect when saving a screenshot to a PNG.Well, I can't find that article anymore, mainly because crap sites and other stuff not at all associated with taking screenshots SEO'd their way into Google's results.Does anyone know how I can take a screenshot of a specific window while preserving the aero effect?
I'm working on a program which will allow users to take screenshots of full screen games, such as Call of Duty, Battlefield 3, etc. However, I'm having two issues with my code. First off, I'm having to press the shortcut twice, instead of once like my other shortcuts. This only occurs when the code below is actually in the handling sub. If I just have a messagebox show when the shortcut is pressed, it works every time. Second, whenever I take a screenshot, it either comes out completely black, or takes a shot of my desktop, even though there is a game running in the foreground. I have looked around, and it seems that printscreen is the only way to get a screenshot of a game through vb.net.
My code is below.
Private Sub game_Press(ByVal s As Object, ByVal e As Shortcut.HotKeyEventArgs) Handles gamewindow.press Dim gamewin As RECT If GetWindowRect(GetForegroundWindow, gamewin) Then Dim bmp As Bitmap
Is there anyway I can do a a custom screen shot? like the height and width of it? This is what I want to do Left = 18 top = 556 right = 914 bottom = 289 So a regular screenshot on my pc is 1152 by 864. So how would I say do a 300 by 400 screenshot?
Dim oURL As Uri = New Uri(e.Uri.AbsoluteUri) Dim favicon As Image If oURL.HostNameType = UriHostNameType.Dns Then
[code]....
The error is Value of type System.Drawing.Image cannot be converted to System.Drawing.Icon Is it even possible to make the favicon be the icon of the form?
I knew everything I needed to save an image, so I type in my code, and yet another error pops up. Here's the bit of code: screenshot.Save(CaptureMain.picLocation.ToString, Imaging.ImageFormat.Bmp, "Screenshot")
And, the error's kind of lengthly... Error1Overload resolution failed because no accessible 'Save' can be called with these arguments:
'Public Sub Save(stream As System.IO.Stream, encoder As System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageCodecInfo, encoderParams As System.Drawing.Imaging.EncoderParameters)': Value of type 'String' cannot be converted to 'System.IO.Stream'. 'Public Sub Save(stream As System.IO.Stream, encoder As System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageCodecInfo, encoderParams As System.Drawing.Imaging.EncoderParameters)': Value of type [Code] ..... The variable 'screenshot' is a bitmap.
im using an MDI parent form and MDI Child. how can i print the image that's inside a picture box that's inside the Child from a button that's on the Parent?when i try to use print preview or print dialog, i can't get it to recognize that the document is the picure inside the picture box. i've looked up this error message:Value of type 'System.Drawing.Image' cannot be converted to 'System.Drawing.Printing.PrintDocument'.[code]
I'm having an issue with some code I'm trying to write that takes a screenshot of the current screen and saves it to a bitmap file on my local PC.
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click Dim tempScreenshot = New Bitmap(Screen.PrimaryScreen.Bounds.Width,
Here is my idea so far: I have a bunch of computers connected in a local network. One of them is a MySQL server, one will have a vb.NET program wich will act as a "second server" and the rest will be different clients. What I want to do is that the "second server" will send out some kind of message or network package to some of the clients in the network, and they will execute a code based on what message it is, or what kind of package it is. I'll give you a simple example:
I am making a web browser using geckofx. I have put the favicon in a picture box but I have changed my mind and now I want it as the form's icon. The code for the favicon is:[code...]
The favicon works fine in the picture box but i think it will look better as an icon. If i change the line Me.PictureBox1.Image = favicon to Form1.icon = favicon I get the error Value of type 'System.Drawing.Image' cannot be converted to 'System.Drawing.Icon'. How can I get this to work?
I have a System.Drawing.Graphics g, which draw something in a PictureBox. Now I want to export this pGraphics to a new System.DrawingImage pImage (or Bitmap). But how?
Dim pImage As Bitmap Dim g As Graphics g = Graphics.FromImage(b)
I have two graphics I'm trying to superimpose into one, then display in a DataGridViewImage cell...The Value property of a DataGridViewImage is an Image type.
Dim Image1 As System.Drawing.Image = imgl_Imagelist1.Images(0) Dim Image2 As New Bitmap(imgl_ImageList2.Images(0)) Dim DualGraphic As Graphics = Graphics.FromImage(Image1)
I'm using Bitmap to show picture box like slideshow using Timer. For each timer interval, I've to go for new instance of Bitmap, there System memory increases to 1MB, How to resolve this, 'BG is picture box
Private Sub Timer1_Tick(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Timer1.Tic Dim img As Bitmap
img = New Bitmap(System.Drawing.Bitmap.FromFile(FileIO.FileSystem.GetFiles
I would like to draw a figure like this. But i do not know how to start drawing it. What i could do is simple mathematics calculation, display something in a label and taking some values from a textbox.
I am having trouble overwriting an existing bitmap. I want to draw to a specified bitmap (union.bmp) even though this bitmap already exists. I keep getting a generic GDI+ error on the line "image.Save("C:/union.bmp")".
I trying to figure out how to take a snapshot of the image in a WebBrowser control so I can copy it into a PictureBox. I'm not talking about copying a specific image from within the web page, just taking a snapshot of the overall view visible in the browser window. Unfortunately my knowledge of VB .NET's graphics, image, and bitmap commands is very limited.
I need to convert a Drawing.Bitmap to 4 bit grayscale. Is there any way to accomplish this? I've tried using Bitmap.Clone but I only get the usual infamous "Out of memory" exception. Would this be grayscale even if it managed to convert to 4 bit?
I'm trying to save a panel control as a bitmap using the following code (VB.net):
Private Sub SaveFileDialog1_FileOk(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.ComponentModel.CancelEventArgs) Handles SaveFileDialog1.FileOk filename = SaveFileDialog1.FileName
draw individual pixels, without resorting to drawing a line and setting it's length to 1. Is there an actual ability to draw a pixel that is just 1 pixel big?
