I have noticed that when I use drawstring to only print numbers, it just prints nothing. However if I put a letter in the string, it prints. So, "12345" will not work, however
"a12345" will work.
Example:
Dim g As Graphics = e.Graphics
g.DrawString("12345", myFont, getBrush(Color), X, Y)
Private Sub btnPrint_Click(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnPrint.Click
Dim PrintPreviewDialog1 As New PrintPreviewDialog()
[Code]...
Document1 is 3 pages long. When print preview comes up, it shows all 3 pages like it should. However, when I push the print icon on the print preview form it only prints the last page.
PrintPreviewDialog correctly displays the page which I assign to the control, but when I click on a small Printer Icon on it, it prints only a blank page.I know there is already a couple of posts about this problem on this forum, but they don't answer the question directly and the links with the examples within them point to non-existing web pages.

View 2 RepliesI am trying to learn about arrays and the for next..loop. This is a noob question but I cant seem to get it to work. I am trying to load an array with 30 numbers that print to a list box.
Dim a(29) As Integer
Dim strVar As String = "{0,-5}{1,5}{2,5){3,5}{4,5}"
Dim x As Integer

For some reason I keep getting errors in the output statement that says "Input string was not in a correct format."
The output should list 1 to 30 in the list box
I am looking to print invioce numbers on stationary. So, for example, the invoice number is located in cell I1 of the excel spread sheet and starts at 100600. I want to print 150 invoices with the invoice number going up by 1 in each increment. So, I have thus far written:
[Code]...
What i need to achieve as you can now see is that the macro picks up the invoice number and does this however many times (or however many invoices I want to print.
I was given an assignment to "write a program to print only even numbers between 6 and 16 using events", but I don't even know where to begin. The main thing I am having difficulty with understanding in this assignment is how I am supposed to specify that it only print even numbers in the given range of numbers.
Am I going to have to do a Mod2 code for each individual number and have it exclude any with the result of 1? Or is there another piece of code specifically designed for such an occassion? Perhaps there is some type of equation I can have the program read in terms of a variable, which holds the values of 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16? I am just genuinely confused on how this is supposed to be programmed.
I'm making a simple little program. It's going to save the image in the clipboard (from pressing Print Screen) to the folder that the .exe is in. My problem is trying to find out how to save the image file with a user-specified name, such as "Image", then adding numbers to it. So it would be like Image_00001, Image_00002, etc. I would like to make the name be specified using a textbox (pretty easy). I know how to get it to save as different image formats and all, and I know how to get it to save as a hardcoded name in a hardcoded location, but that it isn't what I'm aiming for. If you've ever used the screenshot function of Fraps or MSI Afterburner, then that's basically what I'm trying to make here.
I've already searched these forums and did some Googling, but couldn't find anything that I was looking for. Not even a sample program with something like this. I found something in the CodeBank, but it's all the stuff I've already gotten implemented.

I have a listbox that prints 2 different values each line. The first one is String and the second one is an Integer, (although I've converted it to String). How do I extract the first String value? One is suposed to be able to mark one line, and remove the selected lines values from 2 different arrays, and for that I need the String value.
View 2 RepliesI have tried to create an amortization program The issue that I am having is that the program wants to print the same page over and over again. The first page of the printout runs through the "While loop" appropriately, but when the second page starts printing, it repeats the information that is on the first page. This is true of all subsequent pages I have included the printing portion of the code.

View 2 RepliesI have written a VB.NET program to open a word document and generate a .TIF file by printing it using the MODI printer. Usually the documents print fine. But, sometimes it appears as though all of the letters on each line are printed on top of each other which produces little square "blobs".[code]
View 1 RepliesVisual Studio 2005 I have an application that prints formatted text to a printer. I'm using the sample code from MSDN to impliment PrintDocument.PrintPage. My function for formatting the pages uses exactly the same code.
The problem is that the actual printout is off by one line. The footer from the first page prints at the top of the next page. Subsequent pages scroll down by one line for each page printed. If I reduce my formatted text lines by one, the opposite happens... the header from the second page prints at the bottom of the first page.
I've fussed with margin settings and fonts and I just can't seem to make it print pages correctly. I'm hoping that someone out there has seen this and can offer advice.

View 1 RepliesI'm using PrintForm which comes with PowerPack to print a form with a couple of Labels into it.But the letters appear a little blur and not clear at all, bad quality, I tried by increasing the size of the labels but the result was the same.Under the PrintForm parameters I only found one that could be relevant, the papersize but that doesn't helped too.

View 5 RepliesI have a WebBrowser control in a VB.NET WinForms app. I am able to set the default printer from code and print without prompting the user. However, there is also a print button that shows the PrintDialog. If this action is done first the page will print. Then if I try to programmatically print later (again setting the default printer to some other printer) the it will print to the last printer selected in the PrintDialog box even though I am resetting the default and see the default printer being changed in Windows. It works fine unless ShowPrintDialog has a printer chosen first. Once that occurs it seems to always use that printer no matter what I do.

e.Graphics.DrawString(NotesString, m_ItemFont, Brushes.Black, NotesRect, New
[code].....
e.Graphics.DrawString(drawString, drawFont, drawBrush, _x, y)
Can I make only X in the center ?
In the code below if I remove the FillRectangle line the text quality is not good. Why?
