Auto Email Coming From Person That Entered?

how to code the "from" portion when an email via vb.net. I could easily do "mm.From= email@domain.com"...but for this project it needs to be sent automatically depending on which user is entering the information. So I have lets say a group of 10 users, anytime a specific user sends in an update on a project form, the email is sent to the manager from the person who it's been updated from. Any suggestion? They all have specific ID's. How would I code it to where I could get the program to find them by their ID and then get their email address from their ID?

Here is the problem, I have an Access form and a textbox for an e-mail address. The email address is not required, I only want to check for a valid email address when a value or address has been entered into the e-mail filed. Example: If e-mail is not empty or if email field has a value, then check for the follow elements, matched the email address with the required format. If the e-mail field is empty, do not look for anything, move on.

I am still having some issues with the issue I posted last time regardin formview not updating correctly.I have managed to narraow the problem to one sub below:My issue appears to be on this line: tbl.Rows.AddAt(tbl.Rows.Count 1, row)Anytime I attempt to update a row, only the first row gets updated. Subsequent rows don't get updated. Instead, when I click "Update", the cursor moves down to the next record without updating it.When I commented out this tbl.Rows.AddAt(tbl.Rows.Count - 1, row), I can now update each and every row. After updating the row, an email goes out to the individual advising him/her about the update s/he just made. The problem is that email is getting sent to the wrong person and that's because of that one line that I just commented out.

I was wondering how i would be able to validate a textbox for the E-MAIL address of a person. For example it cant have anything like "`#[]-=+->~| etc. it MUST have an @ and a .com or .co.uk at the end of the e-mail. anyway i was wondering how i would be able to program this when the user types into the textbox they cant put in any of the other symbols?and IF there is a missing @ or .com then the user should receive an error message telling them to make sure that they put them in.how would i program that on a button?

My program has a textbox and a listview. In the list view i have added three person's name, John, Kat, Adel.
How do I make it such that when John's name is selected in list view, John's age is automatically displayed in the text box?
And when Kat's name is selected in list view, Kat's age is automatically displayed in the text box?

I have previously asked a questions regarding DataGridView control:[URL].. now I'm trying to make the first column to include an autosuggestion. ie. when a user types an ID(say, "12") then all the records that starts with it(ie. "12*") will be displayed as suggestion.
And upon clicking an ID, the corresponding product_name will be displayed on the next column. I think, I could do this using Validating() event of DataGridView.

Is there a way to save every time the user updates a textbox on the form? My reasoning for this is I don't want to lose all information typed into the form if they were to click on the "x" to close the form. I want the form to update whenever they type so if they forget to press a "save" button (or better yet not use a save button) the data won't be lost. I can use a textbox change event handler and code to update my dataset on every textbox in the form but it seems tedious.

I have a form in VB.net. When the applications runs it populates the data on a datagrid from the database. Then I have an export to excel button which when clicked creates a spreadsheet and dumps all the data in it. Nice!!!Now, what I want to do is have another button to auto email the work to my Boss. The work should be presented to him in a spreadsheet form, therefore I reckon after the export will be ideal or any ideas will be handy

I am trying to get vb 2008 to send an automated Email to a specified Email address with a new password code. Unfortunately one of the final few lines of code creates an error when run and I'm not sure why.I am using a googlemail account to send the email and I'm using the smtp port number for gmail so I don't know whether that will be a problem as I didn't know where to find one for googlemail (got the gmail one off a tutorial).

I'm working on a VB.Net application that extracts emails from an Exchange inbox and then does various things with them. I want it to treat out-of-office auto-replies differently to everything else, so I was hoping someone might know how to identify them.
Obviously, I could simply look to see if the message subject starts with "Out of Office:", but that seems a bit sloppy to me. There's clearly a more accurate way to identify them, because in Outlook, an auto-reply has a different icon to a normal email that simply has "Out of Office:" at the beginning of the subject.
I'm using the component Independentsoft.Webdav.Exchange.dll to handle the email side of things, but I couldn't find anything obvious there.

The below code works fine to export data from a datagrid to excel spreadsheet. Is it possible to incorporate an auto email (outlook) so that I can automatically send the spreadsheet to my manager lets say his email is abc@xyz.co.uk. What I want to do is when the spreadsheet is opened an auto email is sent with the spreadsheet attached to my line manager.

All my users can click on an image button accept one.When she hovers over the imagee it does not provide info on the status bar as if it doesn't even recognize there is a image button there.ALL the other users roll over it and the info comes up on the status bar and they can click the button and it works.What should I be looking for that one user can not access this button.There is not code specific that locks her out and the ahref links on her page work but not the image button.

The above is using the cosine formula which has been rearranged to solve for the angle. When i calculate, it comes up with NaN and i'm not dividing by 0. What does NaN mean and is there an error with the above code?
