Connect An SQL Database To A DataGridView With Separate Command Buttons?

I'm a bit puzzled here. I did a form containing a simple datagridview containing data from an MDB file. The connection was alltogether done by Visual Studios wizard so alot of stuff was created automatically. Then I databinded the textboxes to each column in the database and managed to update the database via my own command buttons such as "Update" with this code:
i connect the Datagridview by using command connection not coding. now i have "table3tableadabter", "table3bindingsource" and "database3dataset" below the form ? the search string " "Select * from tabel3 Where test2 like '" & Me.TextBox1.Text & "%';"" how i can do serch and the result will be shown in datagridview.
i am creating a system where when a command button is pressed, it adds the data corresponding to that command button to a Table of the screen. And basically im at my wits end at how to do this, i have tried using SQL and databases but all i seem to be able to do is type data into the table and this is not what i want.Basically the table has 3 columns at the moment, which are filled in column at a time, and this need to be done by pressing command buttons. To explain this basically there are 8 buttons, which can be pressed to enter into the first column, once one of these buttons is pressed and second set of buttons appear which correspond to the second column and after one of these buttons is pressed the 3rd set of buttons appears to enter into the third column.Once the last button is pressed that is the first row filled in and the user can again press a button from the first set. Its basically a system for rapidly entering data into this table through the corresponding buttons.I have the buttons appearing and all that working fine, but thats basically just the layout. I need to know how to enter the data into the table.i have to use a SQL database, i only added that as at the end of the session, the entire table of data needs to be added to a master database but i can attempt this at a later date.
We have a VB.Net application which works fine in our tests in different Windows XP SP3 machines. However there is one machine in which is displaying this error:
Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts
Using the mysql command, we can successfully connect to the database. We already checked for any other application or firewall that could be blocking the connection but it seems fine. We also reinstalled the system (no errors during the installation) but the MySQL error message doesn't change.
The system settings are exactly the same as in the other computers. We are using "localhost" as server in the connection string. The "hosts" file has its default values (nothing strange in there).

i want to make a form with movable command buttons.the aim is that these buttons will represent the computers that are installed in one room.or the tables in one bar.all the tables can change depending the order that user give.

When I used to play wiith VB 5.0 I was able to create an array of comand buttons on the form. This allowed me to have one routine that knew which of many buttonshad been clicked and I could then take specific action based on which button was clicked. I can't see how to do this in VBE 8. I can do this using VBA within Excel by code like Application.CommandBars etc..However I want to do this in VBNET to control Excel but don't see anything like EXCEL.APPICATION.COMMANDBARS in the Object Browser? I've searched online but am confused by references to 'VSTO' or uising 'RIBBONS' or 'OFFICE.CORE'..
I am trying to open a socket server, I have the code below but my problem is that when I try to connect as a client to the server using the command line (telnet ip port), i only get to type 1 letter and that's it, i can't do anything else, how can I make it so that the client can send anything until they hit or type EXIT?
I've been searching for the answer for this all over, but I can't seem to find the solution. I have no idea how do this. A code that triggers an event after multiple command buttons are pressed in a certain order. For example: I press Command1, then Command2, then Command8, then Command5, then an event happens. It's kind of similar to entering a code to activate something.
I know how to use the default buttons item, but is there any way to achieve the style of multiline buttons (or maybe rather, "clickable text"?) like shown below?
The situation is that I have an interface for the user to select what kind of file he wishes to establish, and there has to be a brief description under the larger, main line of text.

DataGridView, add unique gradient to each Row I like to add a gradient brush to each row of my datagridview. I like to change the gradient colors for each row independently depending of some cell values in the row. I know how to add a solid background color to each, cell, row, column etc. but I do not know how to add a gradient brush to each row individualy.
I need to fill the datagridview with values, the datagridview is disconnected from any database or other data source. After filling the datagridview, I want to step trough each row, find my key values, decide the gradient colors and then add the gradient to the row.I like to do something similar to what I now do with a background color:

I have a datagridview (datagridview1) on my form which onload displays all the records from the bindingsource (bindingsource1) via an sql connection to a table in sql server called "article".
I also have a combobox on the same form which displays the name column from the same "customer" table -
I would like to enable my combobox to filter the datagridview via itsSelectedIndexChanged event . So if custname "xxxone" is selected in the combobox then the datagrid shows only the results for custname "xxxone".
So far I have worked out how to enable the combobox to move to the position in the datagridview depending on which custnameis selected-
But this method still shows the other titles,it doesnt filter them out, it just points to the selected custname. I cannot find how to filter the datagridview so ONLY the selected custname is shown.
I will be changing the field names, I have used custname and custid just to describe what I am trying to do.
I want to show selected entry of DGV on Separate form in VB .Net.When double click on one row of DGV then this row must be open in new form. How can I do it?
I want to be able to have a dozen or so text boxes be emptied into separate columns in a row of a datagridview. This way the text boxes can be cleared and have new values entered then save the new values as a second row in the datagridview. This is so my VB gui which which runs everything through an old cmd line program, can do batches instead of one run at a time.
The problem is I have absolutely no idea how datagridview works. I've tried searching google and only found some vague things and stuff about databases. I also tried the MSDN library and that was of no help either, couldn't find anything on simply adding stuff and if I had it'd probably be to complicated to be of use to me.
I have a form that cycles through a database table with next and prev buttons Database name is "China.accb" and the table is called Users Table Users has two fields, both text.One is called UserID and the otheris Password"am getting an error message when I try to click the next button that states: "Unable to cast object of type "System.String' to type System.Windows.Forms.Textbox'. i could write some code in a different file so that i could call it later...like in php you just include the file....my problem is that it is a database program i would like to separate the connection function or not a function(like public)so that i can call it to make my code readable...
I want to develop a translator (e.g. German to English ) with a separate database. What is the best way to do this? The database must be able to record words and phrases with their meaning. The database capacity must be at least 2,000,000 and phrases. Also, what is the best data structure for fastest retrieval of the information.
