Underscore In Label.content In WPF App?
Aug 14, 2010I have a series of variable values that use an underscore to represent the space between words (e.g., abc_def_hij or klm_nop). When trying to display them as label.content (e.g., MyLabel.Content = DataType) the label always suppresses the first underscore. The examples I gave would display as abcdef_hij or klmnop and I can't seem to find anything that defines this anomaly or how to alter its behavior.

Jan 29, 2011I am using the FormLayoutPanel for the first time and I am not able to figure out what is going on.On the form, I have a label that can grow and shrink because the content can change. The text includes the name of the client and that name can always be different lengths in regard to characters. I also have a grid on the form.
As you will see from the attached image, the form that has the FormLayoutPanel on it is showing small and not showing the content of the form. The form is indicated via the green arrow.In regard to the FormLayoutPanel, I have set it up in the following way:
Three rows, one column.The label is in the first cell, nothing in the second cell and the grid in the third cell.The TableLayoutPanel is anchored top, left, bottom, right.
Autosize = True
AutoSizeMode = GrowAndShrink
The Label in the first cell is anchored top, left, bottom, right TextAlignment = MiddleLeft
The grid in the third cell is anchored top, left, bottom, right and also Dock = Fill

Copy And Paste Or Export Content Of Listview And Label?
Feb 17, 2011We could possibly export the contents of the listview control that we can select in the visual basic 2008 application. I tried to set its properties to 'true' on FullRowSelect, HoverSelection and the MultiSelect. I want to copy and paste the content of the listvew control when being highlighted. It highlights all the items inside the listview control and when you use the command ctrl+c for copy and paste it in another application like MS Excel, it only paste one item which is the first item in the row and the rest were not. However, in the datagridview, it ables to paste all the contents inside of the control but the listview control can't. Why is it so? do i need to add codes on it or it is just the Windows OS is not capable of doing it? How do I copy the selected items from the listview control and paste it into another application? Same as the label control which I want to highlight or select the text of the label in order for me to paste into the other application but unable to do so. These are the two controls that I'm trying to find out on how to export their contents to another windows application.

Application Does Not Save Changed Content
May 31, 2011OK so after a week of aggravating, hair pulling, disaster of trying to figure out what should be simple tasks but beat me down! Ok so I wanted to create a application that would, somewhat manage the users own collection of video games (Lame i know ) you add your games to a listview item, with an image and some sub items, viewing details, using a textbox to search your games... etc i hope you get it
Ok so what i cannot figure out, or find by combing the internet! is how to save all new items the user adds... And including: the item, all the sub items and the picture thats associated with the item.! Instead of posting the code, i posted the application Source code itself here:Source Code , I also started a project here: Codeplex
Later i eventually was thinkin of ading a "wish list" feature where you could add the games you want to get later and also tag it with a release date so when the date comes up, it will let you know, maybe through some alarming way or textbox somehwere... IF you guys want to make it better or fix it! go ahead, i just want this app to save upon EXIT or directing me in the right direction would be VERY VERY much appreciated!

However, the first time the application starts, new data is inserted into the database which is needed after. But, the data does not appear until the whole application is restarted. How I can refresh the database content.

Oct 19, 2010Trying to print HTML dynamically but prints the source code of the page instead of HTML content.
I tried to use "System.Drawing.Printing" name space, but the only printing that i get is the actual html code.
Does anyone know the way to dynamically print those files from my application ?

Dec 22, 2011Under VB.Net 2005, I created a Setup Project which produced installation files for a windows application. I placed the mdb file in the User's Application Data Folder and remapped the DataDirectory to Environment.SpecialFolder.ApplicationData at runtime. Unfortunately, sometimes the system just did create the mdb file at the Application Directory.
An example was that I installed the program in Windows 7 under a normal user account. I chose inside the installer that the program would be made available to everyone. After installation, the mdb file would be created automatically for the Administrator account but not for the normal user account. For XP, the whole thing worked fine. I am tempted to write a routine to check and create the mdb file if it is not present, but why does this happens and what other opinions do I have?

Feb 4, 2007I have been using vb6 for a while, I am following a tutorial by MS to develop a basic application and a simple task cannot be completed for whatever reasons! The tutorial asks to drag the label object from the toolbox and drop in the tab control container. Then, go to the label size property and adjust the size to some different dimansion. Basic stuff, right? It won't let me do it! After I enter the new dimensions (which by the way are not large or very small), the label size (both width and height) resets back to its original dimensions! I have the vb.net sp1 installed.
