Edit Text In My Txt File?
May 15, 2012I have is my columns are separated by spaces but these spaces can vary between 1 space and 20 spaces. So would it be possible to replace all spaces with one space? This will mean that each column is seperated by one space and I can then start working on my next bit of coding with deleting columns.

Jun 21, 2012I have two text files. The fields in each text file are separated by a space (" "). Some of the fields in column 1 of file 1 match the fields in column 1 of file 2. However the third column in file 2 is a numeric field. What I wish to do is check every field in file1 against the field in file 2, and if the number is 1 then remove the row from file 2, if the number is > 1, then subtract one from it.
I have the following coding so far.

Aug 8, 2009I have a text document that stores around 200 commands ,each on its own line with a value of either 0 or 1 after them. This determins if that command is ON or OFF.
I need to be able to manipulate the on/off values for 5 specific commands using a check box to say "turn this one on" if box is marked. or vice-versa.[code]...

Jul 20, 2010I found this code on here to open a text fille, do a find & replace then save the changes, and the code is in a loop that will do that to every file in a given folder. My question is I also have files in sub folders, and more sub folders, and i'm not sure how deep it goes. I want to recursivly go though all the sub folders and do this to all the files, not just the files directly in the main folder.

Jan 31, 2012Just want to ask if anybody here knows how to edit a page online. I've been using Web Developer 2008. I've tried Web Parts tutorial of Asp.Net, and it only shows how to edit image, title of a tool like log in or calendar by using edit, design, catalog.
Is there a way to edit a text in a certain page via online/browser view without going back to the webdev file to edit and update it? Because as I do the tutorial of web parts, it limits the editing and update portion to the image and other stuff, but not on the text part.

Jan 1, 2010OK, so the following is a link to a picture of my program. I'm including it because I feel it makes things a lot simpler. some information. When you click Rename, it goes to that Rename form. The information already there is the current name. What I plan to do is make it easy to rename the file.What I want is when the user clicks one of the handy buttons, the information appears in the text box (as I've gotten that far already). When the button is clicked again, it removes ONLY the specified information. I don't know if you can, and if you can, what to use. Currently I'm using clear which is obviously wrong. The text boxes were initially filled using a row 'aIndex' from the datatable, then the user can edit the data.

Because of the extra space, Excel recognizes the date as text and will not format the information as a date. I have tried the Right() function but once Excel recognizes the date as text, it will not convert to a date. Can I programmatically address this issue in VBA and how?
