one of our programmers is having an issue with a asp.net app. i had him rebuild and recompile the app to the network share on the staging server and received the same. i even deleted the files in this folder(C:WINDOWSMicrosoft.NETFrameworkv2.0.50727Temporary ASP.NET Files). to make sure that the server was not the issue i installed it on another server and received the same error.i found a article on msdn that states that its a source code issue.

I'm using VS 2005, after VB6 to VB.NET conversion we have fixed all the errors but still have unidentified number of warnings. Is there any way to increase this limit of 101 warning you can see after compiling? I want to actually see the total number of warnings to get an idea how much work is there.

View 5 RepliesI'm trying to fix an issue with an application I'm supporting (I didn't write the code). The code takes an SSRS report and renders it in pdf format. Users are sporadically getting the error indicated in the title. There is no rhyme or reason to when the error is generated (a particular report will run one time and throw the error the next).[code]
I read that the default length limit is 4MB. None of the reports by themselves are even over 350K. I'm wondering if this could be caused by a caching issue. I'm not an expert, so I need some guidance as to how best to solve the problem. I also want to understand why the issue is happening. Please note that only 2 reports are shown in the snippet - there are about 30+ reports in the full sub. I tried the proposed solution, but it didn't help (I also tried the Fiddler route, but did not see anything glaring). I thought it might be best to clarify. The reports will run fine for a while, but the execution time gradually gets slower and slower until the application eventually displays the error.
I see this error page appears in some client access but some client didn't see this.

View 5 RepliesI have a large solution which contains a mixture of C# and VB.Net projects.If I get compilation errors because a project which several other projects depend upon fails to build, it is very hard to see the actual error(s) because of the number of VB errors in the error list window in Visual Studio. C# errors found in the projects I compiled show in the error list, but all VB errors appear (including in those projects I have not just compiled).Is there any way of turning off this behaviour so that VB errors only appear for projects that I have explicitly compiled?

I have a List(Of Int32) - it's being populated every 2 seconds with a new Int32 item.
I want to store only the most current 2000 items.How can I make the list hold a maximum of 2000 items, then when the 2001'th item is attempted to be added, the List drops the 2000'th item (resulting in the current total being 1999).
Thing is, I need to make sure I'm dropping only the oldest item and adding a new item into the List.
So Im a student and I need some help I have a question "Write a program that displays a list of Super Bowl winners ordered by the number of games won." I need to use arrays, in the most basic way possible someone was telling me about keys but I havent done that yet...The array is a text file with just the 44 names of the Superbowl Winners...

It appears as if my Try/Catch blocks have been coded correctly. However when in run-time, my format exceptions will show regardless if I provided a correct input.[code]Is there an issue with my programming? i have a 3 radio buttons and a picture box.i have coded then picture box when a specific radio button is clicked it loads up a picture, and i want to make this picture change when you hover it but ONLY for that specific picture box. i have typed a code to make this work but it gives me errors.

I have sql server2000 encypted stored procedure. I can not modify them. Typicaly all the procedures manipulate row by row different tables using cursors etc. When the stored procedure is executed at the Query Analyser screen, I see error being thrown in between but the procedures continues till all the records have been processed. This behavior is acceptable to the client. I now need to automate the process using VB.net 2002 windows application. I call the procedure from vb.net but the program throws runtime error on the 1st occurance of a error in the stored procedure.
