Excel AddIn - Keeping Windows Form Always Visible While Within Excel

I'm trying to upgrade an Excel VBA workbook to a VSTO Excel Add-in in VB.NET using VS 2010. In the original (i.e.- VBA) version I have a modeless UserForm (called frmMain) that floats on top and is visible at all times while the user is still within the Excel application, but is not visible if the user moves to another window outside of Excel.
For example, within Excel the user can click on any worksheet tab, select any cell, etc. and the UserForm is still visible. This is exactly how I'd like it. The problem is, that in the new VSTO add-in, I can not get the Windows form to mimic this same behavior. I use frmMain.Show() to show the form as a modeless form, but the moment the user clicks an Excel worksheet (i.e.- activates a worksheet) the form becomes hidden behind the worksheet.

I have a VB.Net App that on ButtonRun_Click open Excel to get the "tab" and "column" then another buton that past content from textboxes. I get a "COMException was Unhandled" If I reopen excel it's in use.

Problem:I am not getting the cursor (4 arrowheads) for moving the form.I am using the Panel1_MouseHover to display the cursor. Right now if I choose any other cursor then it is working but the same cursor also displays when I hover the mouse over any other control. I want the cursor to show only in the areas of the Panel where there are no controls.How do I show Tooltips for the images? The play,stop,next, previous,playlist,Hideme(with the smiley),volume are all images and not buttons?

I have a created an excel addin application in vb.net using vs2010.The application is working fine while running from IDE. Now I want to create a setup for the application to install the same addin in other system. How can I do this? I created a setup project and added the dll of the addin and created setup file. When I installed it in other machine, installation was succesful. However I could not see the addin in excel when i opened it.

I have a program that shows a small form appearing at the top of the right hand corner of the screen. When I switch to another opened program, the form disappears. How can I keep this form visible when I switch to another program? I set the TopMost property to true but it doesn't work.

I wrote a C# Excel automation addin (Excel 2010 64bit, VS 2010) to provide some additional user-defined-functions in Excel. Now, the addin works fine besides the fact that the two methods "OnDisconnection" and "OnBeginShutDown". are not called when I close Excel which is a problem for me. Also, while Excel seems to shut down properly, the instance is still running in the background after the excel-window has disappeared. So, apperently the problem is that Excel is not shut down properly.

I am converting several VBA projects to Windows form applications. The only problem I have is that some of the functionality of Excel is essential to the application, such as R1C1 formulas. I do not want to instantiate the Excel application or access saved worksheets. All of the data is retrieved by querying Oracle databases. 2-Dimensional arrays are not an option because the columns contain differing datatypes, and DataGridViews are too slow to work with.
I thought simply dimming a Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Worksheet object would be enough, but the program kept failing and upon inspecting the object's elements in debug mode, I found that every value says this:

I currently need to build a Automation Add-in for Excel. This add-in will load a recordset from Database to Excel. I would like to have function A() that I input in Cell as a formular. This function A() call a the add-in to load the data from Database to Excel. The data should be a matrix. So that means I would like to set in Excel worksheet a range of data by just calling single function in a cell. (I am sure there should be some way to implement it)As I know if I develop a shared Add-in by VB(or VB.Net) and in the add-in, I can get an Object of Excel.Application. By this Excel.Application object, I can get full control of Excel inside the Add-in. That means if I define a sub that load datamatrix from database and using the Excel.Application object I can populate the data matrix to the Excel.
I have done much research on internet and I now have built a shared Add-in for excel. I should say this add-in works fine without invoke the Excel.Application Object that I have tested. But when I call the Add-in function that invode Excel.Application Object from Excel I got an error as below:

I am trying to read excel data (Excel 2007 SP1, on Windows XP SP3) with visual basic .net 2008 (VB 9.0 SP1). I can show an excel workbook using a WebBrowser component but that only works if excel is installed on the target computer.Any other ways to display an excel sheet ? Just a viewer. No need to edit, scroll or tab between sheets.There's a lots of OCX components out there that do this but anyone know of a .net component ?Or any way to achieve it without needing Excel to be installed.

I have two, soon to be many spreadsheet files. There are cell references between the files which need to be updated. I would write this in a excel macro but these spreadsheets are design tables for Solidworks, a CAD system and it does not allow macro enabled workbooks. So what I would like to do is push a button and open all of the spreadsheets, accept the update workbook prompt then save and close the files.
I've seen a similar command developed by someone using the Soildworks API but updating design tables in solidworks takes ALOT of time to run compared to just opening and closing spreadsheets.I am using Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 along with Excel 2010 Beta 2 (I like to have the new things)

Trying to get names of all visible open excel workbooks. I found code online, that is below.I suspect the code is not working for me because either: I didn't include a reference (in addition to the MS Excel 12.0 Object reference and in addition to the Microsoft Office Interop reference, both were made) or something else basic being missed. i have been using the "early-bound" code below that is recognizing oExcelApp as visible...however, the open excel workbooks that I have open, are not being recognized.

I have written a Visual Studio 2008 addin that adds controls to a Form. I want some of those controls' Visible property set to False so they're hidden during runtime, so I do this:[code..]

The code runs nice, but it has a problem: After the user close the Excel application (click button X - note: no other instance of Excel exists), if you open the Windows's task manager, its possible to see the process Excel.exe.
If I open and close the Excel application, there is no process Excel.exe, but if I run my code with the Excel application openned, after the user close the Excel application, the process Excel.exe isn't finished.

I created a VBA project in Excel. I would like to figure out how to transfer the data back in forth to make a more presentable and user-friendly program in VB Studio.Basically, I need my form in VB to input data to into an excel �workbook.data�, where the calculations are preformed. Then I need to copy the finished excel data cells �workbook.results� and paste them into an end result form in VB. I have tried looking at threads and cannot come up with a solution. There is no data saved each time the program runs, so I don't have a database.

I'm currently working on an application that detects a color on a defined area on the screen and together with a panel that displays the color I show the values in a label and represent them with a vscrollbar. (The goal of the project is to output the color of the computer screen via an usb to dmx interface to create an ambilight effect) Now I don't want the user to be able to move the scrollbars up and down so I figured disabling them would do the trick but then the little square you click on to scroll it up and down isn't visible anymore.
