Forms :: Move Selection Highlight (in E.g. A List, Grid..) Upon Right Click?

When we left click a grid cell, or list item, it highlights. Left click outside it and the selection jumps to the new place.
I can RIGHT click anywhere in the grid without disturbing an existing highlight, but I want it to work more like windows explorer would in terms of file selection..
i.e. if I right click inside the range, the range stays, if I right click outside the range, the range moves to a new single cell that I just right flicked.
Try it now on this page. Select some text, right click on the selection and it stays. Right click outside the selection and it goes. In datagrid (for example), the selection can only be modified with a left click.
How can we change this so the selection behaviour of a datagrid/list is more like this text pane?
On a related note. If I left click in a textbox I can drag a selection out. If i wanted to right click and drag the selection out, would it be the same process? (It's for a custom string manipulation picker control..)

I have pairs of controls: immagebox + textbox = one pair.I want these to show up in a single column grid/tabular format.Each cell contains one image/text pair.I want this grid to scroll because the number of pairs is dynamic depending on a user selection.I suppose I will be adding these controls in code at runtime when the user makes his/her selection.

Is there a way to highlight an item in a VB.Net listbox without allowing the user to change selection?
When I set the selection Mode to "NONE" I canīt select an item in the code.

I am writing a program to search computer in the same network.I just get an result array like

i have 4-5 forms and contains grid and some coding is done on selectionchanged event of grid. eveything is working fine but one of the form has this problem.as soon as i call the form form1.show and it fires the selectionchanged of grid before even it fire form load event. i'm not sure why? i try to debugged it step by step, as soon as form.show command is done the control goes to selectionchage event of grid and at the same time it is working fine on rest of the forms.

I need to update a link Table with the data I select from multiple grids, the problem is only the last command statement takes effect, therefore I am only updating the link table from the last command statement, is there a way to update the link table with all the command statements?

I have a grid that displays data from a binding source. I have a method to handle the CellContentDoubleClick which will get the value of the cell and use that to do a new look up. This will generate a new datasource (with different columns) which I then rebind to the grid.
My grid double click works, but when it repaints with the new data, a single click fires the double click. I have no code in place to handle a single click .
The interesting thing is that it is (in my case) a toggle. If I double click, on the repaint, a single click fires the double click code. When it repaints again, I need a double click .
The double click code fires off a messagebox - if I tell it not to continue, then I have to double click to get it to fire again. So it is not dependant on what data is displayed.

I'm not sure how to even ask for what I need. I have a form with many input fields. Here is what I want to do. When I click on a field I want the contents to highlight and then if any new data is entered it will overwrite the current contents. The way it is now, when I click on a field if there is any data in the field I must first use the delete key or the backspace key to get rid of the current data. If I just type the new data it just inserts it. For example, if the field has "Bob" in it and I want to replace it with "Jack" I have to delete the contents. If I start typeing I may end up with "BobJack", or "BoJackb" or "BJackob" or so on. I want to overwrite the existing data. BobJack

I'm looking at modifying an application we use in the office, the program links to the phone system and allows us to cross caller ID with our database and dial numbers from the database.What I'm trying to work out is how to add a selection to the generic windows right click menu. ie I want to mark a phone number in say ie or word and 'right click' and be able to click 'dial' from the menu. i have two pages.1.aspx and 2.aspx i have a drop down list on the first page and a back and sumbit button on the second page..If i make a selection in the drop down list and go the second page and then go the the first page again with the back button. the drop down list doesnt show the selection that i did.i tried the use "sessions" but didnt work, also tried postback but no luck. I am using visual studio vb 2005 and I searched the forums for an answer to this but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. I am using the following code to populate a list box. I want to retrieve all input, select and textarea fields only and possibly change their data value. I currently declare as: Dim theElementCollection AsHtmlElementCollection = WebBrowser1.Document.All ' which I then iterate through and select on tag name.
I would like to be more efficient and do something like: Dim theElementCollection As HtmlElementCollection = WebBrowser1.Document.GetElementsByTagName("input", "select", "textarea") but GetElementsByTagName doesn't appear to support multiple selections. I saw on the net where someone declared as Dim Tags As HtmlNodeCollection = docNode.SelectNodes("//input | //select | //textarea") I tried this but HTMLNodeCollection is not referenceable under HtmlDocument. I have played around a bit and can't see an equivalent.
