I want to make the form resizable , such that the controls would resize themselves when the form is resized instead of overlapping each other.I tried docking and anchoring in several ways, but I am not able to achieve this.

Apr 4, 2010i have a list of links on a form and when you click one, it will set a specific groupx visible to true in a set position. So I have about 8 groupbopx control on this form. When I drag one out of the way and another in the form in design time, it seems they stay inside one another at times if they overlay. I don't understand this. Then some will not show at runtime depending where they arer left from design time even though I set the position to be in the form. This is completely different from vb6. Why are they staying inside other groupbox controls rather than being independent?

This code doesn't work because the strings returned in the select case block don't match any of the cases that are coded. I need a better way to do this, I imagine there is a more efficient way.

Apr 5, 2009In runtime I'm programmatically changing the forecolor to all label and radiobutton controls placed in the groupbox.
The only thing missing is to set the groupbox text/caption forecolor, but as soon as I do so programatically all controls in the groupbox inherits the font type and color making the text hard to read on the Button controls placed within the groupbox.

My problem is when the user is seeing the form, I set gbDataEntry.Enabled = False but I want to enable some controls like DataGridviews so the user can scroll them. After disabling gbDataGridview I set DataGridView1.Enabled = True but it seems that the datagridview does not respond to this line. Why?

Silverlight: Hide Objects/user Controls Within Wrappanel?
Mar 5, 2012I've got a WrapPanel which will contain several different custom UserControls. Depending on the scenario, I may need to filter down which UserControls are visible. My goal is that I can switch which controls are visible on the fly by showing/hiding the controls that need to be filtered - thus shifting the controls that are left showing, to the top-left of the panel.
Right now I am simply setting the Visibility property of the control to Visibility.Collapsed when I don't want them to appear. I thought that because I was using a WrapPanel, the rest of the controls would shift to the top-left of the panel.Instead, after hiding some of the UserControls, the controls that are still visible stay exactly where they were before, and I am left with gaps between the controls that are still showing. I've opened my app in Silverlight Spy, and it shows that the UserControls are still actually there (which makes sense) but are simply invisible.
So my question is: Is there a way that I can show/hide UserControls within a WrapPanel which allows the still-visible UserControls to slide to their new positions (all shifting towards the top left - similar to a StackPanel)?
I've debated removing the UserControls completely from the WrapPanel (I think this would work) and storing them in memory until they are needed. Then if I wanted to show/hide other controls, I would get them from my in-memory object. It seems like there should be a better way to do this though.

This indeed brings up the first radio button however I have other groupboxes underneath which with the same code will not appear when the radio button is checked.

The second groupbox does not appear and is directly behind the first groupbox. The Top code doesn't seem to be working either.

May 5, 2012I'm curious if it is possible to hide a group of text boxes from view in a form until a particular condition is met, and to have a custom set of text boxes for that condition. To give an example; I want radio buttons offering choices for a manner of searching records, the user selects one and then a specific set of text boxes are displayed for the user to utilize, if a different option is chosen a different set of text boxes will be shown. Is this something that can be done?
