How to locate a button based on the handphone number or any number? That means if I assign the button to coordinates 25, 14 and number 1 as the button name. So when i key in 1 in the text box, only that button will light up the rest wont. So that means the statement will be like:

View 8 RepliesI have already done the creation of button and the dragging of button at runtime already. But now i need to know how do i save the last dragged button on the form and also detect the name of the last clicked button.
i now drag a button to coordinates 25,254. so when i exit the form and the next time i launch it, the button will still be at 25,254. and this one will go on for the number of button i created like 100. so when i launch the form the 100 button will be at the exact position where i last saved them. the second part is lets say i created button1 and button2 on the form in runtime. so when i clicked the first button, it should display button1. and if i clicked on button 2, it should say button2. same goes for like 100buttons.

Given a week number, I need to get the date of the Monday of that week.For example, I have several strings that are stored in a file, such as
"WK 28 2010"
"WK 30 2010"
They could be any any valid week number.
The Monday on Week 28 of the year is 12 July 2010
The Monday on Week 30 of the year is 26 July 2010
Its these dates that I need.
I guess I could create a lookup table, but would prefer a more smarter approach so my software will be future compatible?
I have a ticketing application and I want to create a date based, sequential, ticket number.I'm leaning toward something based on Posix time as this generates a sufficiently large number and the likelihood of any two ticket numbers overlapping is slim to none (two people would have to just happen to hit the button at exactly the same time on two perfectly synchronized systems).Has anyone done anything like this or have any code snippets/ suggestions? I have a dataview object that is being populated by database fields - so I can sort on these partulular columns by specifying the actual column names without any difficulty. However, I have been asked to add a few more columns to the dataview, and these columns will be calculated columns, not directly derived from an underlying database column.The users want to be able to sort on these new columns as well - even though there is no actual column name I can use to sort.
I have not been able to see where I can sort a dataview based on the actual column integer value used when the user clicks the appropriate heading to sort.
I have a UI that uses datagridviews / bindingsource / datatables of typed dataset for data entry. The dataset itself is serialized to a varbinary(max) in SQL. The behavior I see is that the messagebox comes up after leaving the max row even when the user is trying to leave the grid. I can lose the messagebox and deal with notification some other way but I thought someone else may have come up with something a little more sophisticated to handle simply causing attempting to add to many records to navigate out of the grid to the next UI control.

All textbox fields must be filled before the user can click the button to continue. To this end I would like to disable the button as long as there is at least one empty textbox.
If I had only one textbox field, it would be easy for me to do. In the Textbox1_Leave event I would check if Textbox1.Text is not empty and if so, set Button1.Enabled = True.But what should I do if I have three textboxes? Have three event handlers, one for each textbox? Or is there a way I'm not familiar with?
I am trying to create 5 Bitmaps 'on the fly' which I want to use in a ToolStrip DropDown.So far I have found a working way but I wonder if there isn't an easier way to do that?The reason why I have to create this images 'on the fly' is because users can select different colors for the Categories (which I have managed with Button(x).BackColor, so, in order to have the Menu Items shown the exact same colors I try to get a Bitmap based on the Button's back color and add it as MenuItem picture.Here is my code to create the images:

im trying to disable a button until anything has been entered into two text boxes simultaneously.

In an application for a Storage company, I have a form with 107 buttons in five Group Boxes. Each Group Box represents a Building and each Button represents a Storage Unit. They are layered in Table Layout Panels, bottom TLP has 5 columns, one for each Group Box, each Group Box has a TLP with 2 columns and 10 rows, where each button is located.
