Jquery Or Code For Checking Future Date Entered In Textbox
Aug 31, 2009
I have below code in vb.net.
[Code]...
I want to check at client end whether the entered date in text box is future date. I mean this textbox should allow future date only. code the above problem using jquery or vb.net
I am creating a Calender application using the monthly calender control.I am trying to implement a search for the calendar so a date can be entered into a text box which intern moves the calender to show the date entered. I have been try to figure this out with no luck, is it even possible to do?
I'm fairly new to ASP.NET & VB.I've been asked to take an existing textbox that is automatically filled with the current date and allow the user to either add a "+" or "-" and a number or a spcific number and convert that into a date.I underdstand the basic concept on how to do this, but I'm running into some problems using the proper commands in order for this to work. The Textbox is called txtDate. What I've tried to do is this:
If txtDate = '+' Or '-' Then DateAdd("d", txtDate, today) End If
Here is what the whole thing looks like:
Protected Sub DateEnter_Click(ByVal sender As[code].....
I'm using the ASP.Net Membership system but I'm having an issue with the LastActivityDate for the users in the database. For some users, their last activity date is in the future...
I have a form where a user can choose an election date. One of the most frequent errors users make is entering the incorrect due dates of reports. Therefore, I am attempting to generate the report due dates in the application using the report guidelines. For instance, reports are due 32 and 15 days prior to the election and 30 and 60 days after an election.
I know the following won't work but you get the jest of what I am attempting to do. I am assuming I will need to break down the month, day and year somehow before I subtract or add the days to the date to get the actual report date.
I need to have the Calendar Control start 36 hours after the current date. How would I do that?
I have a form that requires that the future date has to be at least 36 hours from the current date in the order for the workers involved to be able to complete the task.
check values and keep the form from processing:
Protected Sub calPickupDate_SelectionChanged(sender As Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles calPickupDate.SelectionChanged If calPickupDate.SelectedDate < Today.AddHours(36) Then
I am trying to flag rows in a grid in the following order based on a date column
When 2 or more days old from today then RED When 1 day old then YELLOW When 0 days old then GREEN When the date is in the future then BLUE
I have the following which is working fine except for the future dates which are GREEN instead of BLUE.
Dim myDate As DateTime = CType(grdSummaryView.GetRowCellValue(e.RowHandle, "myDate"), DateTime) Select Case Now.Subtract(myDate).Days '2 or more days old then RED FLAG Case Is >= 2
I am teaching myself VB while creating a basic application I can use at work. Is there something in VB that will calculate a past and future date from a specific date. For instance, an Election Date falls on November 2, 2011. Once this election date is entered I want the program to calculate the reporting dates. The first report due is due exactly 32 days prior to the election. The 30 day post is due 30 days after the election.
I made a programme through which I get a feed back clicking a button for a future warning date. I am giving the code below so that you can givthe problem is, I have to take 12 DateTimePicker to do that job in a single form which is creating a saving problem means when I click save button it takes long time to save. Now, I thought If I can do it by using TextBoxn a date format would easeup my save problem. Or it can be MaskedTextBox as well. Below is my code if any one can give me the solution.
Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click If DateTime.Now > DateTimePicker1.Value.AddYears(1).AddDays(1) Then
I have a text box on a form. It is a masked text box that shows in the format XX/XX.It is used for the expiry date of a credit card. What I need to do is how to take a value like 08/11 which means August, 2011 and check that it is in the future. For example something like 08/09 would be last year and hence would be invalid. Is there any way to take this string and check?
I have an access form that shows a data table. when the form is opened, I want to filter the data in the date column to show only the records that don't have a date entered into the field.
Imports System.Math Public Class Form1 Dim var_ghost As Object Dim var_number As Double Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load [Code] .....
My question is; when you enter a variable to inputbox like "100.5" it shall return a numeric value at line1 and "100,5" too. But when I need to check for entered value is a real number or not (Look line2) CDbl("100.5") returns 1005 CDbl("100,5") returns 100,5.
I have a need to verify SSN's that are entered based on a reserved range (these are used for advertising and will never become valid). The input is from a masked text box formatted as 000-00-0000. I may be wrong, but I figured the most logical method would be to remove the hyphens and convert the string to an integer, then compare the starting point and end point of the range.
'Valid SSNs 'Currently, a valid SSN cannot have an area number between 734 and 749, or above 772, the highest area number which the Social Security Administration has allocated. This should not be confused with Tax Identification Numbers which include additional area numbers. [Code] .....
I'm working in visual studio 2005 and developing a windows form that has a datagridview on it.
One of the cells is a Calendar Column type (custom made). I pulled the code for it off the internet - it basically allows the user to select the date from a small calendar.
When the date is changed, it gets the correct value and it also saves into the database with the correct value.
The problem is that it doesn't load onto the grid with the correct value. In fact, no matter what date I enter in, it always displays it as 1 day earlier. e.g. If I saved it to the database as 4/19/2012, it displays it as 4/18/2012.
I verified that there's no other column in the query that retrieves the data for the grid that contains the value it's displaying.
What I am trying to create is a log in system, and in one of my forms I want to limit the date entered into a form. For example a user cannot enter a date more than seven days from todays date Which is what i achieved but what i am stuck on is preventing a user entering a date in the future
I had created login form in vb.net. There are two fields username & password. I want to check username & password enter in the login form, from the first.mdf (database file). If it is correct then message is displayed. I had written code for this but I got error in the code.
The code of login form is below: Imports System.Data.SqlClient Imports System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection Imports System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand Public Class Login Inherits System.Windows.Forms.Form [Code] .....
When user stores a record, I need to make sure dates don't overlap. My simple code checks date ranges within a specific record (e.g. user enters 9/16/2011 or 10/21/2011, I throw an exception.)But, on the slim chance a user gets creative (e.g. 10/14/2011 - 10/23/2011 or even 10/14/2011 to 11/16/2011), now they have circumvented my check.BTW, the user could enter 10/14/2011 to 10/23/2011 if they were editing the record that contained values 10/15/2011 - 10/22/2011.So, I'm trying to solve this riddle with a linq query. However, what I have isn't working exactly right.
UPDATE Nevermind about code not working. While trying to provide an example to expand on Miika's repsonse, I found my answer. So, giving credit to Miika for pointing me in the right direction and posting my working code below:
Here's my code:
Private Sub CheckForOverlap(myMonth As Messages.MyMonth) Dim am As New MyMonth() Dim amCollection As Messages.MyMonthCollection
I am using VB.net as well as Jquery Datepicker for getting dates.
In my VB.net code <tr><td> DateOfReceiving: </td><td colspan="3"> <asp:TextBox ID="DateOfReceivingTextBox" runat="server" CssClass="pastdatepicker" Text="DateOfReceiving" /> </td></tr>
I want to allow enter user only todays date or past date with format dd/mm/yyyy. I want vb.net custom validation for that. How to write vb.net regular expression.
I need to check my field in format ddMMyyyy(ex 12/03/1990) whether in interval of two dates that user picks from two date picker controls. Two date pickers are in custom format dd/MM. It does not matter for me if its between particular years. I need just to know if given Birthday belongs to interval taken from screen. Each datepicker gives values dd/mm/yyyy. I do not know how to check it. For example:Given date 12/03/1990 . User select two values from screen: From 01/01/1950 Upto 30/04/1949(or 1990, or 2000) Result should be True.Because 12 march is between 01 Januar and 30 April.
Ex. the month of April, the number of days is only 1 to 30. What if the user will enter the date range of 4/1/2011 to 4/31/2011 in the mask textbox? I am using Mask textbox because datetimepicker will not accept empty value and it cannot be empty either.
I'm asking this because I encountered an error when querying in MS SQL SERVER 2005. It says "The conversion of char data type to smalldatetime data type resulted to in an out-of-range smalldatetime value." I thought it was the casting or conversion problem. I've observed the SQL when transacting and I found no difference with my code.
So then, I just figured it out that my date exceeded the number of days of the April month.
I am trying to mkae sure that there has been 16 numeric digits entered into the masked textbox. If not show errror message and if so to call the fucnction ValidateLuhn. When calling Validate Luhn i want the program to tell me if the number entered is valid or invalid using the code in the function:
Private Function ValidateLuhn(ByVal value As String) As Boolean
Dim CheckSum As Integer = 0 Dim DoubleFlag As Boolean = (value.Length Mod 2 = 0)
Here is the problem, I have an Access form and a textbox for an e-mail address. The email address is not required, I only want to check for a valid email address when a value or address has been entered into the e-mail filed. Example: If e-mail is not empty or if email field has a value, then check for the follow elements, matched the email address with the required format. If the e-mail field is empty, do not look for anything, move on.
I have a textbox where a user is supposed to enter a date. How can I check whether the entered date is in the correct date format?
Like this: 02/02/2008
not like this 022/22/-1 not like this 2009/02/02 not like this 02/Jun/2015 not like this 02/abc/2010
(I don't want to use DateTimePicker or MonthCalender).
EDIT 1 I tried it like this
Private Sub txtHireDate_Validated(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles txtHireDate.Validated Dim dateString As String = txtHireDate.Text Dim formats As String = "MM/dd/yyyy"
I am trying to make a Windows Form in VS 2010 that is used to determine whether someone is entitled to a prize/medal/award whatever you want to call it. So basically if someone clicks on a check box to say they attended an event and they enter a date range between saying they attended the event between 01/01/2010 - 01/02/2010 and the requirement for the award is that they attended the event for more than 20 days then because the statement is true I would want a box to pop up and say person is entitled to receive a particular award. There are multiple awards available based on different conditions so to be eligible for so the result would be dependent upon which boxes and date ranges are selected. So For Award1 the logical argument is something along the lines of
IF Event1CheckBox = Checked AND Attendance => 20 Result = Entitled to Receive Award1 Else = Not Entitled To Receive Award1
I have a text box and a list box, my ultimate aim is to use the text box to filter the list box. The below code works however the text box is case sensitive and I need the user to be able to input any case and it filters the list box accordingly, at moment.Example
"MY SITE" = Works "my site" = Works "My Site" = Does not work[code]........
I have a 45 checkboxes in webform with values 1 to 45 i want ...to insert checkbox checked value to textbox in comma seperated string as in ascending order as 1,2,3,4,5 ...if checkbox1, checkbox2, checkbox3, checkbox4 and checkbox5 is checked...if these checkboxes will be unchecked then the inserted value in textbox will be removed 1 by one respectively. ..
hwo to do this using vb.net or jquery or javascript ..
