I am trying to load the desktop, My Documents, My Music, and My Pictures into a listbox.
Here's my code:

I have a ListBox control, that contains a few items that display attachments (files or directories). I have successfully allowed users to drag and drop items from their desktop to the ListBox , but I have not been able to allow the user to drag and drop items from the ListBox to their desktop. Is this possible?

why my code doesn't work? I want the array elements to be loaded into a listbox when the button is clicked. Is it because not all elements in my array have been filled? I've tried putting the array declaration as a global variable and as a local one (below), but the same error occurs as soon as the button is clicked - "ArgumentNullException was unhandled".

I'm loading custom listboxitems in to a listbox.But the problem is that i load over 300 items and it takes a while and the program stops responding.I've tried to load the items in a backgroundworker, but i didn't help.
Note: the Listbox is placed on a Page.

The image name works like this:

So the .package is removed and A.jpg or B.jpg is added.
am havin a problem in loading sorting items in a listbox. what i want is after i load a text file into a listbox the items are compared by the last number and sorted in descending order.

Whatever is in the text file "stats" should be listed in listbox1 in the same order it is in the text file. The same with "items" in listbox2. And then "quests" will be in listbox3.
The problem is when i load it instead of what is in the text file it says...
note that box3 is correct that it has nothing in it.

I was wondering if you guys could help me. I have a web browser made, and now i'm working on coding my favourites system. It is working well, and adds the URL to My.Settings.FavList
My problem is once you've added a favourite then load up the favourites form, it appears. But if you don't add anything, and load up the form, nothing appears. Below I have attached my coding, I hope you guys will be able to help. Also i'm still learning VB, and almost all of this coding was done through me learning myself. So yeah, there may be parts wrong. Form1 - This code is to add the favourite. I don't think anything is wrong with this part.

I have a huge assignment tommorow in which i have to make a trivia game on visual basic. In this game you have to be able to make your own questions (modify/delete etc). Basically I have one form where you can add questions into one listbox and answers into another listbox. Now i have another form with the actual game board. I want to load each individual listbox item from the other form into the array on the game board form. Example. the first item of form2.listbox1 into question(1)

I've got a Program and a text file, this text file gets load into the list box but that's not the problem. The problem is that when I make the text file it makes a open line and this line gets loaded into the list box and I don't want empty items.

I am trying to add Images using open file dialog and folder browse dialog and populating the image list to listbox.While adding these Images I need to show the progress bar for every image it loads.
I am trying to get that but when the value of the progress bar say something around 25 0r 40 it is stopping at that point but I need to show the progress bar until it completes the 100% and then populates the Image list.

I was writing a program that would save the contents of a listbox to a database and wanted to reload the users' choices when the opened up that particular row again. My first thought was to do it with two for loops, just as I used to do in VB6, but I thought there must be a better way to do it. And there was. Sort of. The duplicates need to stay as they are in the text file. I just want the duplicates deleted from the listbox when viewed. How would I do that? Say there are two orders made by the same user. I only want the user to show up once in the listbox...

When switching to a new desktop it starts a new instance of my app in that desktop (works) and on the form load event it says process.start("explorer.exe") <- here is the problem. It only shows a window not the actually bar.Also this may be important it shows the window, but when I navigate to explorer.exe 'C:Windowsexplorer.exe' and open it there. The explorer bar does show up.

What i want to have happen is when the user selects for instance 'RPG' from the combo box the items displayed in the listbox change to the contents of the rpg.txt file. I'm working on one of my applications and I'm trying to find a way to use the "Go To Desktop" function that goes directly to the desktop without minimizing any window (This can be achieved by clicking on the Win + D buttons or on the desktop icon in the quick launch toolbar), but how can I activate it using vb? I thought about sending keys but I guess there is more offical ways to do it.

Now where i click that button the other text boxes are filled up with the data from database thru web service.. what i want is while all text boxes are being filled i want to show an animated loading gif image till data loading is completed in all the text boxes.. i have tried to use image picture box but while data is loading gif image is displyes but in static mode.. cant see animation... i think this is because data loading and animation both are done thru one UI thread..
