Select From A ComboBox - Option Selected Is Shown, But Not Activated?

basically i'm making a webbrowser, and i want it to select and option from a dropdown ComboBox, on a certain button click. I use this code which i found it on these forums as well:

The problem with this code is that it just inputs the selected value, but it doesn't really SELECT it.The option selected is shown, but not activated.
I have tried this but this is not working.[code]Here i need to take the data from exds to text boxes. As when we click on combobox we need to show data according to that party in all text box's.[code]

So I've made a program in VB 2010, and it has three comboboxes and a button to view. Now lets say my first combobox is "Type of website". The options are "search engines", "social networking" and "news". The second combobox values would depend on what the first combobox value is selected, like if it was "news" the options would be "technology", "uk", "us", and "world".
The third combobox would then use the values in the first and second comboboxes to give even more values, for example if it was "news" and "technology" the values would be "engadget" etc. Then the view button would open the selected website in an internet browser. How would I code this?
I am new to vb.net and I have looked at other topics. I cannot find the answer I need. OK I have a combobox named cboRaceDesc and five checkboxes (CkRaceAfricanAmerican, ChkRaceAmerican Indian, ckRaceAsian, ckRacePacificIslander, and ckRaceWhite). I was going to post an image, but I cannot.cboRaceDesc has two options...Hispanic and Other. If the user selects Other then they have to choose one of the five checkboxes or it will raise an exception when the record is being saved. I am assuming I would generate the code under the "save" button. I know I need to gather the following information in my code:

Can anyone help me fill in the blanks or point me in the right direction?
In the form, I have 6 textbox and a combobox. What I am doing is that when the form is run, the user have to insert the particulars in each of the textbox and select the items that have in the combobox and it will stored in the database.Here is the code that I am using. For the combobox, I am not quite sure so could anyone help me? What I mean is help me with the combobox part.

im hoping to be able to create a form that welcomes users to the application that i have created, however i want to be able to allow the user the option of the form to 'not be shown again'
I have a combobox and a rich text box. When I select different items in the combo box, I want some text to appear in the rtb next to it. Such as, selecting "Dog" in the combobox puts "Golden retriever, lab" and etc in the rtb.
1) I don't know what kind of event handler would trigger the combobox. I tried a click event but it's crashing so I want to know if there's a different way
2) How do I find what the user selected in the combobox, so it can display stuff in the rtb accordingly? I thought it was .Items.IndexOf but nothing seems to be working so.
I brought up a new project in Visual Studio 2010 and found that there are no gridlines on the form. I went to Tools, Options, Windows Form Designer, General and found the Show Gridlines option set to True. I tried turning it to false and back to true with no change.
I have two comboboxes which are related to each other. When a make a choice in the first there are different choices possible in the second. So far so good. But is it possible to remember the second choice when i change the first? the program should select the the option in the second if possible or other select the first option.[code]

I have a listview control setup with full row select. When I select a row and then tab to the next control, the selected row is no longer selected visually. Is there any way to keep it marked so the use knows which row they selected even when the focus is on another control?
In my dialog I want to prevent the user to browse freely in certain places (this is due to the fact that my application will be running in a terminal server environment). So I want to to limit the items that will be visible in the top combobox of the server. I want it to start with "My Computer" instead of the usual "Desktop". So far I have found that for each item in the combobox CB_SETITEMDATA and CB_INSERTSTRING methods are executed. By using a hook to the combobox I am able to intercept these messages, but sofar I am unable to determine the exact contents of what is inserted, so I am unable to determine wether it is the "Desktop" item or not.I have also discovered that the "My Computer" node is only added at the moment that the combobox is expanded. My Visual studio does not give me the option to select a different platform, I need to select X86 , but it only gives me the option Active(Any CPU). How can i correct this. I am running on a 64 bit machine with Windows 7, is this the problem?

This checks that one of the radio buttons are selected. How do i check that an option is selected from the option list? There are three options: 3rd, 4th, and 5th. And the text starts out saying Select One and it locks the control once they choose one.

what i want to do is to automatically change the selected option of the cboProductCode on page load depending on the result of a query executed onload also.
In my VB.net solution I have a form in which I have to choose a beginstation and an endstation. I have to select both from comboboxes. Now what I want is that when I choose a beginstation, the chosen station will be gone in the combobox of the endstation so that I can't pick the same endstation as the beginstation.Is there a way to do this? I've tried a lot with SQL and LINQ queries but it didn't work out :(

Now, i am designing the purchase/sales screens. I am showing the items name, qty, price in a datagrid. From the products table, I am able to select the 'ProductName' by giving it a combobox . I want the ProductSellingPrice also to appear in the next column of the grid.
there is a "open with" option in the context menu right.if i select the application(app i have build from VB2010) from the open with option. i want the picturebox in my application to load the image i had selected(the one with the "open with" )
