I was wonder how, if you can, can I create a WebBrowser control or something similar to this, that will contain a selected area of information, and that information only. So it doesn't load and show the whole web page, only the part I choose.
For example, I would only want to show the weather portion of this webpage: [URL]
How can I get a specific area of a webpage, loaded into a form, that is able to be reloaded/refreshed later on?
I need to be able to find a piece of the webpage source. It always starts the same, but as a random number behind it.
So sometimes it could be...

But will always start the same. I only need part of the source, not all.

View 2 RepliesI have encountered a small issue with coding a portion of my Visual Basic program. In my program, I have a variable that contains text data. I would like to be able to select certain text in the variable and place it into a textbox.
For example, my variable is called strCallInfo.
strCallInfo contains the following value:

Location Info: Carbon Police Department

Note that the values in the textboxes are equal to values in the string variable. The only problem I am encountering is how to sort the string and place certain values into specific text boxes.

I just started learning VB.NET about a moth ago (I have been taking classes, so its been about 5 days worth of classes) and I decided to work on this project idea I had. Essentially, it's a database to keep track of anime and manga that I, or whoever else uses it, have watched/read.[code]...
However, now I want to make it so that when one selects a specific title in the list box, it will show the data in the tags below the <series> tag that matches the item selected in a label. One thing I just thought of is than since the list box gets populated in the order that the series are in, it could be easier to go in order from first item equaling the first <series> and so on.
I am creating an application with html using vb as the back end. Microsoft Visual Studio is the application I am using.I have two drop down boxes...one called department, the other program. When a department is selected, I want the program dropdown to only display the programs that are associated with the department chosen. My problem, is that this program will have multiple users, and I don't other users to be able to see each others data. So the problem with the above statement is that it fills the table with ALL the data in the datasource. I need to navigate to a specific webpage like webbrowser1.navigate("http://samplepage.co") This wegpage is somehow password protected. I know the password and the username. With a normal httprequest and response I could easily create the network credentials and get the code.

I would like to search a webpage for a value in the left column of a table, then pull the value from the right column as my result. In a Visual Basic Forms Application.
the data is listed in a table, for example...

and if i just want the value of ghi ( I know "ghi", but i want the goal of the code to find the "345")
I am creating a simple researcher application to access and store data. As of today it workes by entering a number into a text field and hit enter/button. The result then shows up in a non-menu webbrowser window. What i would like it to do was to exclude the web browser window, and instead show in a popup window inside the application. This should be rather easy, here's what i think might be a problem. I want only to show specific lines from the webpage, not the whole page.

It seems like such as easy task to grab the titles and other information off a library search page, but I can't see the data to be able to grab it. Usually, I just look in the DOM, but the data wasn't there. I did a view source, but the data wasn't there.

Basically the forum size is set to 600x2000 but the client should only allow you to view 600x600. I want it to add +1 once you "collide with a invisable box I'll add and this will redraw the screen.
I designed a form and managed to fit graphics inside it. Picture box is 465 pixels high. Form1 is 500 pixels high. SnapShot of the screen verifies that the 500 pixel height is the overal height. It includes the upper Bar and lower frame. Is there an instruction to set the From's inner pixel size and not overal?

I guess thats what I need to do, Im trying to allow the user to right click on the top of my form, and my custom Context Menu Strip is displayed, not windows context menu strip. I guess somehow i would need to get the size and draw a rectangle on the non client area and see if the user has right clicked in that rectangle? if so how would I get the area of the non client area?

I made the player in flash told it to download the video from the sever. Now when i put the player on the webpage and put the webpage on the sever it cant play the video. But when i just pres the the player which is in swf format it works. It can download the video. But when i put the player on my webpage it cant.

You see , I am using a DataGridView control to show only SOME of the columns (fields) of a table from an Access file . For example , lets say that in the DataGridView control I only show the following fields :Field1 , Field2 and Field3 .Now , when the user selects an entry in the DataGridView control , I want to insert the text from Field4 into a text box on the form .
The problem , however , is that I don't know how to get the specific row in the data base file and also I don't know how to get the text in column (field) Field4 of that row .One thing that might be important is that the index of the row in the data base file is not necessarily the same with the index of the current row in the DataGridView control . This is because in the DataGridView control the rows are order by the contents in the ID Field .ol .

What I want to do is when I click on each grid on the form (Touch Screen), a tooltip of some stored information about the grid appears on screen. For example, if I click my mouse on square 6,8 then some stored information such as grid number, grid name, level...etc appears on the tooltip on the screen.

The Locate String is there because thats the location where the iso files are but the application is in the root of the drive. The ListBox1 command is fairly easy to understand

As you can see in the example the content has two "Quotes" so i jest want to remove only one from the first line and last line of the content
And note "[quote=randombla13]" the length after the = is Unknown it maybe of 6 characters or less or more
