I have an asp.net website that is using update panels on the page that i cant get to reload from the server. I have this for the disable page cache on the master page.
'Response.Cache.SetExpires(DateTime.UtcNow.AddDays(-1))
'Response.Cache.SetValidUntilExpires(False)
'Response.Cache.SetRevalidation(HttpCacheRevalidation.AllCaches)
'Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.NoCache)
'Response.Cache.SetNoStore()
When I click the browser back button to go back to the page it says the page has expired. the other pages on my web site work and call the page load, the only solution i found but cant use is to wrp the whole page in an update panel, but i cant do this becuase i have a report viewer on the page that does not work with ajax.

Just want to ask if anybody here knows how to edit a page online. I've been using Web Developer 2008. I've tried Web Parts tutorial of Asp.Net, and it only shows how to edit image, title of a tool like log in or calendar by using edit, design, catalog.
Is there a way to edit a text in a certain page via online/browser view without going back to the webdev file to edit and update it? Because as I do the tutorial of web parts, it limits the editing and update portion to the image and other stuff, but not on the text part.

Is there any way to download only a part of a web-page? What I have is a program that downloads periodically (every 5 sec) a web-page and displays some real time information. So I would like to minimize the bandwidth as much as posible.
I have seen that many download managers have the ability to resume a download, so they actually have the ability to start from somwhere in the midle. So can I do that with a single web-page and without messing with the sockets if posible?

I need a pattern for an asp.net validator that's for a phone extension field on the entry part of the page. I need it to allow a single digit up to 5 digits. I was able to use this pattern "d{5}?" until the requirements changed to "up to 5 digits" on me.

I am using VB 2008.I've successfully "scraped" web sites before but I am having a problem now.I use a web browser component.I retrieve the test from the control and then I search the text for the information I am looking for.BUT, when I try to do this a website that displays its information in FRAMES, it does not work. The web browser correctly displays the page, but the text only includes text saying that I need to use a browser that can handle frames.I do not understand how the web browser control can correctly display the web page (including the info that I am looking for, but the text/source/document property of the web browser does not include all of the text on the page.

I'm in the process of making a Web Browser, and after having mastered most major functions, I would like to create custom error pages. Like the "This page cannot be displayed" IE Page, but with my own logos and text.
How would I go about redirecting this? The current one is at System.Windows.Forms.HtmlDocument

This is my first time dealing with Visual Basic 2008 as before I only use VB6 I use the following guide to help me making tabbed browser [URL] All works great, except one.. The tab title initially is set to "New Page" I set my home to "Google" If a new tab is opened, it automatically goes to Google, and the tab title will change from "New Page" to "Google"

I'm working on a web browser application and I'm trying to set up the home page to be decided with a textbox in the settings form. I want it so that if there is text in the textbox it pulls the url from it and goes to it every time the application is opened.I doubt this is even close to anything that would actually work but I like to show that I put the effort in.[code]

am trying to find out is there any way to create a web browser in a vb.net aspx page rather a vb.net form. I have looked on the internet they all seem to be on a form and not a website. The reason I want it on a website is so that i can view other website pages on the website that I am creating for holding game information. For example a user is interested in finding information about a certain game within my website and instead of using another tab or opening another browser page he/she can just use the inbuilt browser on my wbesite.

I can't figure out how to make my web browser open links in a new page or tab instead of IE. I've tired at least a dozen different sets of code. None of them can be manipulated to fit my browser. When my browser first starts, there's an empty tab control. I put a new webbrowser in it at runtime and set it's dock to fill. I create new instances of the browser for new tabs as well. I just can't find how to make it open links in new windows.

I have writtine a program in VB 2008 that uses "webrowser1.navigate" in a browser that I created on a form in my application, so that I could add buttons for other functions on that Form and to load a web page with Flash content. Everything seems to work fine on 32 bit machines but, on 64 bit machines when the web page is loaded, Falsh content does not work and I get a Security Warning asking "Do you want to install this software?" and the software is Adobe Flash Player. IE is 32 bit (on 64 bit machine) and has Flash Player installed and the Flash content works for this web page using IE.Is ther some code that I should add or a property that I should change on the VB 2008 Form containing the browser that I created, so that the Flash content will work?

I'm using ASP.net; I have a popup browser window that contains an databound gridview with textboxes. It has an "Add to Order" button which takes the values entered and updates the database, then closes the popup and refreshes the parent. This currently works perfectly using window.opener.document.forms[0].submit();self.close(); in a RegisterScriptBlock
I now need to update the database on gridview page chage so that textbox values are not lost. I put window.opener.document.forms[0].submit(); into the PageIndexChanging event of the datagrid, but it does not refresh the parent window. Refreshing the parent window with the order lines helps the user see what they have already ordered. My update database method runs fine, just not the parent browser refresh. I also tried "window.opener.location.href = window.opener.location.href" to no avail.Refresh parent browser window on GridView page change?

I have made many web browsers that just navigate to a web page, I don't have any buttons or any thing like that as it is controlled via other software using shortcut keys etc.I have created a button in my other software that sends the keys strokes "Control" and "H" I can get this to navigate to a webpage by manually typing i the same page that it navigates to when the form loads, but this mean I have to type the address in twice for each browser I make. I first type the url for the browser to navigate to in the properties section in VB and this is nice and quick to type in each webpage and build quickly build a new browser for it. Currently I have to repeat that url in the browser_homebutton Private Sub, what I want to happen in the below Private Sub is that it navigates to what ever address is typed in the "URL" cell in properties of the browser. What should my "Then" statement say? [code]
