Mistakingly I have deployed an application on 20 laptops and discovered that one of the columns text size to 2 characters to small. How can I check and set this in code? If I can do it this way I don't need to get all the databases back and do it manually.

I have a combobox that has a list of over 3000 vendors. The edit list that comes with combobox will only hold a little over 1700 lines, so I used the combobox1.items.add to the (form1 events - load) code. Now I have access to all 3000 + vendor names in the ComboBox1. But if I design an add vendor form, how would I code it, so the vendor would be added to the bottom of the items.add list in the code?
there's an img src=blah on a web page that I am loading with a webbrowser control, and I want to alter it to say img src=blahblah instead ... What I've been doing so far is waiting for the document to complete, doing a .replace, then saving the file to the hard drive, and finally navigating to that local altered version.I was wondering if it's possible to skip the step of replacing and reloading the local page, and instead, just dynamically alter the original source code of the page AS it's loading the first time. I would like to alter the value of the field in the table to show the text as bold i.e. <strong>
To have the text displayed as highlighted i.e. bold, I manually modified the text inside the field of the table to show
<strong>hello</strong>
Is this ok? It does not seem to work because in the label control I see: <strong>hello</strong>

I have a rich text box that have a paragraph in it (the parragraph may change). The user is able to decide what type and/or size of font he whishes to view the text in. My problem is that not more that an average of four words per line should be displayed per line. My idea was to size the rtb so that it automatically wrap the text to and average of 4 words per line. This I would do by determining the average width of a word (number of characters) in the paragraph, multiplying it by the width in pixels or twips of a character and then multiplying by 4 to get the average required length of a line. It does not need to be exact as long as I can get as close as possible to 4 words per line. Sample text:
My Father walks to the market every day to buy fresh bread and milk for the house.
Result expected:

Notice some lines may be slightly longer as long as the average is 4 words per line.My problem is that I dont know how to determine the width of a character in order to ultimately determine the width of a sentence.

View 3 RepliesI've got a program which displays data in a listbox in five columns. All are separated using one or more ControlChars.Tab. I want to write these columns to a text file, however, when I do, my columns lose their alignment. I can change alignment so that it displays nicely in text file, but then it is off in list box. Is there a way to get what I see in my listbox to display the same way in a text file - maybe a different way of separating my columns (not using ControlChars.Tab)?

The text string I have printing into a rectangle, and if a word does not fit it will wrap down to the next line, and then keep going like that, but now I need to split my page into three different areas that will each print different text.I am pretty sure I could draw three different rectangels then draw the text I need on each of them, but is it possible to somehow merge them together into a single rectangle that will be printed?
View 9 RepliesI have a datagridview that is bound to a datatable. When the form is displayed, the column headers have no sort glyphs and the columns will not sort.
I don't see a property on the form that controls column sorting - at least not one that's obvious. This is an area of the code that another developer wrote originally, so maybe there's something going on that I'm not aware of.

what I might have to change in the properties of the DGV for the code to set the widths, I've changed so many that I am not sure what the default settings are any more. Also the look of the form is not open to suggestion as this is what the customer wants.
Is it possible in to filter out certain columns from a datatable? If suppose a datatable dt1 has 3 columns and I want to have a new datatable dt2 with the values of only 1 column from dt1 then what is the best approach to do it? I know a rowfilter exists for dataview of a datatable but there is no column filter as such.
