VS 2008 : Build Query Based On Two Variables?

In my program I have a combo box that the user selects a date from and a list view that the user selects an employee ID from. How do I properly design my database query string to use both the date selected and the employee ID selected? The date is stored in a variable called YearMonth and the employee ID is stored in a variable called EmpID.
Here is what I am trying to do with my query:

I have a Query to Display values in grid view, now i wanted impose certain condition in query to filter the values.I have FABDue(date column) and FABComp(date column)columns in a table.I need to check following two conditions in query
1.Records which does not contain FABdue date in FABDue column, then those records should not be listed in Grid view.
2.Rcords which are having FabComp(column) date then those records should not be listed in grid view

Now, I want to execute a sql query that will display the top 5 based on average, so i did this:
SELECT DISTINCT USERNAME,IAVERAGE FROM myTable WHERE IAVERAGE > 0 AND DATE_LOGGED='05-07-2012' ORDER BY IAVERAGE LIMIT 0,5 and the result is:

I am using 2008 Express Edition. I am trying to make a Release build instead of a Debug build.Under Tools->Options, Projects and Solutions->General - I checked Show advanced build configurations. The option to switch configurations does not show up in the IDE.
After this, I went to the Project Properties->Compile and switched the Configuration from Active(Debug) to Release.After building, I looked in my project directory, however only in the Debug sub-directory was the .exe and nothing in the Release sub-directory.I have used Visual C++ Express Edition, where I noticed that if you do not change to Release in the IDE than after changing to Release in properties, resets the project to the last configuration setting which is usually Debug.how to make the Debug/Release box available in the IDE, since Tools/Options does not make it show up?

Im currently working on a project to build an application for Windows Mobile 6.I have a SQL query string:

I want to substitute the table name ie. BigC_Rangsit_0_ with a variable which contains the table name.say, during runtime the user selects a table from the dropdown list , that variable should be substituted with the selected table name dynamically in the SELECT statement.

I have a form with a few text boxes, one of which has it's contents stored to a integer variable.
The value stored will end up being one of a few numbers ranging from 12 to 98, and I need to the same number of new variables as the number in the textbox.
Can I automate the creation of new variables based on the value stored, or do I need to define the max number required and just ignore the rest when using less?

Is there any free tool available that can be used to build Active Directry query also can i execute active directry query through c# code because while connecting to active directory through object model and iterating through each property of the active directory specially when all the property is not requierd the performance cost is comming. What I want is to query Active Directory domain get some property value ans save it in the sharepoint list, I am using object model to do this but at the cost of the performance. Im working with a DataGridView with an imported CSV file where the values are delimited with (,).. The grid works perfectly fine. My ultimate goal is to hide the grid out of view from the user and access the data in the grid based on the coordinates of the grid specified i.e (The cell in column 5, row 6 contains the value "Taco") and I want to save that value to a variable...Eventually I want to loop through all the values of a column and save them to individual variables to be later used. So far, this is what I have...

Presently, that will only display the data in column 0, row 0 in those labels...
Note: 17 in the for loop is the amount of columns in the data i provided.. that number will never change.

I have a DataGridView of which is being populated via a table adaptor.
I can populate it with a query where the value is statically assigned in the query.

What I am about to do build is a UI that will allow a power user to build complex queries.
This is non-trivial, but very common. So before I re-invent the wheel, I would like to see if anybody can point me to some already-written free code or release some of their own.
Required:
To be able to specify some 'where-clause' type logic like this: Age>21 and (Citizen=True or HasGreeCard=True) but without having to type the query code, instead, use a UI with constrained options and on-the-fly syntax checking (e.g., no unclosed parenthesis or ending a term with an Operator).
I've seen this type of thing in many line-of-business apps, where you can say 'add condition' and another line appears on the UI like this:
Dropdown of fields Dropdown of ops (=, >, etc) Blank box for entry
And you can add more lines, and the lines are all and'ed, but you can also decide to OR a few, or insert parenthesis (explicity or via indenting), NOT a line, insert, delete, and move lines around, etc.
Not required but nice:
WPF - I could convert from winforms. Extensibility using OO constructs. Validate the sanity of the query. Emit a System.Linq.Expressions expression tree - or similar data structure. If it attempts to execute the query I don't need that; but I don't mind removing it.

I have two forms and I'm trying to pass a declared variable from form1 to form2 and then pass that variable in a sql query that I have in a dataset that is bound to my form. I know that my query works but it's not producing any data. I have debugged my form and can see the data being passed in the variables elsewhere on the page but I'm not sure of the syntax within the query.

Last year (2010) I came across a FANTASTIC command that allowed me to take a string of variables with a common delimiter and break it all back out into separate variables (possibly an array) with one statement.

As long as the delimiter was a unique specifiable character, this one-statement command could break it out into elements. my memory and point me in the right direction.

This is my first attempt at writing a program that accesses a database from scratch, rather than simply modifying my company's existing programs. It's also my first time using VB.Net 2010, as our other programs are written in VB6 and VB.NET 2003. Basically i have a query string that when i hardcode in the catalogue value its fine. when I try adding it via a variable it just doesn't pick it up.This works:
