In my datatable I have a single column containing a series of integer values. eg:-

I am looking to do an equivalent of the following SQL statement :-
Select Value, Count(Value) as Total
From DataTable
Group By Value
Order by Value ASC

I have a datatable that has a resource in one field and hours used in another, it looks like this -

What I want to do is be able to create a summary of the data table above that groups multiple occurrences of a resource and adds up the hours used for that resource, creating a summary that looks like this -
Resource Hours Used
Manager 6.5
Accountant 4
Field Staff 6
Administrator 7
I've got a datatable not attached to the database. It contains essentially raw data. I want to take that raw data and then process it more by running a select statement that includes a couple of sums and group by phrase.However, I can't figure out how to run a select statement on a datatable that is already in RAM. I created Table 1 and massaged it by adding some more columns after pulling the original data. There will be more in the final SQL Statement but I can't get this to work.

Contains multiple records for the same customer.[code].....
This table should only be one record per customer showing total amount of all invoices.I've been searching the internet for a couple of days but no luck so far.
I'm trying to write a function which obtains the sequence_number by counting the records in a table that fit a particular criteria and if the result is 0 or nothing sets a variable to 1 but if the result is 1 for instance, the variable will be set to 1 + 1.
This is the code i'm using but i'm not getting the correct result when results are actually returned. For instance, if the result of count is 1, i want "seq" to equal 1 and total (which represents the sequence # assigned to the next record which is entered with the same plan and date) would therefore be 2 which is the result of seq + 1 (i.e. 1 + 1)

The loginReader gets the results and does the ExecuteReader. The problem with this is that if I use a good username and password it works but if I put in a bad username and password it doesnt do either one of them. Any ideas on how to just count the number of results?
I am currently building a search page, which includes a textbox and two drop-down lists, a search button, and a datagrid. If results are found and displayed, I would like a label to display:
(e.g.) "24 results found for 'blue sky clouds' "
...where the integer represents the results count, and the keywords and/or drop-down list selections are included in the string.If no results are found I would like the label to display:(e.g.) "No results were found that match your selection. I have code that's working beautifully on my development machine, but when deployed to the server is throwing null reference exception. So, I can't step through the code, but I've pinned down the culprit. But now I am puzzled.[code]In the code above persons is a dictionary of custom class, and certs is of IEnumerable type. Now here's the quandary.. The first line that sets the label returns False, so certs is not null. But the second line throws an null reference exception.

I have been having an issue with returning records from a SQLServer database where the date the record was created is between 2 user specified dates. When I populate the DataGridView with the results, they are incorrect and do not follow any recognisable pattern.
For example, if I specify the dates 05/05/2010 and 12/05/2010 I get the attached data in the DataGridView.

I've populated my DataTable will all the results from a SQL search. Upon a button click I want to populate a combobox with all the results where a condition is met. My DataTable as a column called UserID and I want to add all results where the UserID is equal to a set value (for example 12). I wrote a small program (in .net 3.5) that allows me to scan barcodes and then get counts for specific barcodes when I type all or part of the barcode into an textbox. That works pretty well for receiving, but I need something that works better for the reverse process (shipping things out).
I have an textbox which accepts the barcodes. When the scanner emulates an enter key press, it adds the code to a listbox and clears the input field. This process loops as many times as my quantity field specifies. There's another textbox which I use to input partial barcodes that I want counts for. It looks for strings in the listbox that match, dumps them into a second hidden listbox, and counts those.
If you're the tl;dr type, here's the short of what I want to do with all of the above. I want to take the contents of the visible listbox, summarize by listing each unique barcode, and have a count of how many of each unique barcode appears in the listbox.

Let say I have an array of data. In this array, It has 4 Columns, represented as:
Column 1 = Customer #
Column 2 = Customer Name
Column 3 = Past Order #
Column 4 = Past Order Amount
Each Row in the Array represents a past order, so the array has no known upper limit. End result is that I need to report in my VB app, the number of Unique Customers, and by that Customer, summarize the number of orders, and the total amount of those orders.
I have an integer array with 4 indexes. What is the easiest way to get the sum of all integers in the array.

My problem is that each month the Sites change so I need to be able to write VB code within Access to read the database table and output 'Site' records for that month, grouped together along with the incident details for that site, e.g. The report would have the following headings:

View 1 RepliesI've created a program that allows a user to input numbers and then outputs the highest and lowest number when the user is done (the user indicates this by using a sentinel value of -99). My only problem is that it keeps putting out the numbers reversed (largest as smallest and vice versa).

Is it a no-no to have a module within a module like I do there? So far there is no mention of such in the book but I can't find an example of it happening yet either? The instructor wants modules to perform the input and return of information and the only way I could figure out it doing both of those things (rather than using the main module for user input) was to call the module that figures hi/lo within the module that asks for the numbers. I have a form that allows users to select file and then it reads the contents, parses the data and then executes a sql insert statement to add it to a database. What I am having issues with is showing real-time results. Currently, I have the import operation take place on the import form within the OnLoad event. The problem with this is it only shows the final results instead of the results real-time. Is there anyway to do this without creating a seperate thread and delegates?
