Does anyone know how to get the image of an open application (any open application or game)? Like the image that shows if you mouseover a program on the taskbar of Vista or Win 7.
I'll need to get a list of all open programs and retrieve an image of each, but if you only know how to get the image, then i'm sure I can resolve the rest through repeated googling.

now here is the weird part. When I save the image the filesize INCREASES..but the picture dimensions are the same Example... TEST.PNG 1.3KB, when opened up via picturebox/saved the image is now 2.3KB
not sure why...i even though I specify system.drawing.imaging.imageformat.PNG
samething with JPG... it actually SHRINKS it evenmore.. example 88KB jpeg.. saved as jpeg is now 47.7KB...

This works fine when I give the location of the image (the full path ) on my computer - but then of course it will not work if I use the solution on a different computer .
So I have made a folder named "Pics" inside my application and added two images into it.
How do I get to this local folder in the following code?

Okay so here's the question how do I get the links that open in a new window to open in my main webbrowser control. The above code does some, but it's not fool proof.
I made a picture box and imported an image named Title.jpg. Later I made adjustments to the picture and imported it again without deleting the original(mistake). The new one had the name automatically changed to Title1.jpg. So I deleted the original image from resources and renamed Title1.jpg back to Title.jpg.
Now I got two problems. First, only Title.jpg is on the solution explorer, but Title1.jpg(along with Title.jpg) still pops up on the resource list when I click on Image property of the picture box. There's only the name and no picture, and I don't see a delete option. How do I get rid of it? Second, even though I changed the image to the new Title.jpg in the picture box, the old one is displayed when running the app. What's up with that?

I am trying to make an Image wrapper class or something. The reason for this is that I need to output a bunch of images only, without pictureboxes. I have a specific image that I want my application to look for on a specific window. I've done something similar to this along time ago with VB6, but it was slow, and it was checking for specific points in the picture rather than the whole image itself (for speed reasons). This code is what I am using to save image after it is re sized, It will not save the new image, it saves the old image and the old size. I am using a picture box to import the image into, then I am resizing the picture box and the image. But when it is saved it reverts to the original image.

View 2 RepliesI have a field in a SQL Server 2005 DB of type 'image' that contains documents, mostly pdfs. When I view the field in the database, it looks as though the data is stored as a hex string. I have extensively googled and came up with the VB.net function below to convert the field to an actual file, but it only outputs a file containing the string of hex characters rather than the file that the field is supposed to represent.

Does anyone know of a solution for writing text to an image using an OTF? I know that GDI+ does not support OTF and that WPF does. I can load the font as a label in WPF, but still do not know how I can write this over an image, such as a watermark would do, and save that image.
I need this in an ASP.net page, so I won't actually be able to use WPF, but I figure that might be a start in building a class my page can import.

this runs fine. but what i need is that the customerid on the application 1 that is calling application 2, should be transfered while opening app 2.e.g -Customer 10001 screen is open on app 1. When i click open app 2, the above code runs and opens app 2. how do i make app 2 open to customer 10001 screen. Is there any way to pass parameters while opening app 2 in System.Diagnostics.Process.Start ?
