VS 2010 Save As Class - Create A Panel Full Of Items

Dec 21, 2010

how to create a panel full of items (textboxes, buttons, labels, ...) and save it as a class with all it's properties so I can create it and place as object on other panel. My goal is to create an application with menu on the side and change workspace (the part on the rest of the form) between 3 or more possible different "workspaces" (made by the classes).

VS 2010 Only Filenames In Listbox And Save Full File Path

Aug 22, 2010

[code]I have one button to play all the stuff, but it needs the full path to the mp3 file to play, but I only saved the File name to the Listbox. So basically, I'm wondering how to be able to still select files in the Listbox and press Play, when the Listbox's Items do not include the full path to the actual files.I know I could just add the full path to the listbox from the beginning, but I don't think that looks good.So maybe someone can point me in the right direction, or maybe provide me some source code.

I have knowledge of oledb using vb to retrieve and modify access databse so it might be better to head in that direction, but I have no clue how to get the webcam talking to vb and see the live feed from the cam until you take a picture and save.

I have a class with many structures and each structure contains variables and im trying to add to my program a way to save the data of that class object with its structures and everything is that possible? I tried manually making some sort of save but its taking too long and proving way too hard for me. Is there a way to just convert it into some general object format and save the object? Smart Device Framework Signature Panel - Draw Signature In Full WinForms App

May 15, 2011

I'm planning on using the Smart Device Framework 2.3 to use the signature control panel in a Windows Mobile 5 application using the compact framework 3.5.

The control has the option to save the signature as either a byte array of points, or as a bitmap. Now seeing as I want to store the signature in a sql compact database, I guess the byte array is going to be better. The trouble is, I'm not sure how to render that in a full WinForms application after I've transferred it back to the desktop.

I need to show the signature on a report, so it would need to be an image I could link/embed into the report.

VS 2010 Create Save File For Checkboxes?

Nov 16, 2009

Ok so with my program i'm trying to create a save configuration I have it in my context menu so that I can click save configuration and what i want it to do is check to see what check boxes are checked and save those to a file (i.e. a notepad file or whatever works) that way I can save categories for customers or my own computer or whatever and than i'll just click load and choose the category I want and it will load the checkboxes that I want to install. I found a similar post but it's not really making sense to me. So i'm wondering what I need to do to make this work.

I'm also wondering how i'm going to load the configuration but I might have to wait on that one step at a time.

Add Items To A Panel?

Aug 23, 2010

I have a program that is sorta like the iphone shop.

When you load a selection, I want it to read from a website, about the information of what to add (Finished)

So each "Item" consists of a Picture, a number, a set of text, and a button.[url]...

So far, I have made a parser, which reads this, and determines the size of the button, the name, but how do I create a button, with the specifications, and add them under the parent of the panel?

VS 2010 Reflection, Create A Class With Dynamically Named Properties?

May 11, 2010

I'm trying to make a very simple audio tag editor. The idea is that the user can select as many audio files as he likes from a ListView, and a PropertyGrid will then display their tags + their values. When multiple files are selected, I want the property grid to display the values of the tags that all files have in common, and display empty values for tags that the files do not have in common. As an example, look at the properties list in your Visual Studio IDE when you select multiple controls (of the same type for this matter). Select a few Button controls, for example, and notice that the properties whose values are the same (often things like Font, ForeColor, etc) are displayed. Also notice that the values for properties that are not the same (Text, Name, etc) are empty.

Drag And Drop Items Into The Panel

Jan 26, 2009

I'm having trouble with my panels. I taught myself VB (and the other languages I know) so I don't know all the terminology, so bear with me. But I'm making an application, and in this application I have a set of radio buttons, and because I only wanted one to be checked at a time, I put them in a panel. The problem is, I want to add more stuff to the application (form?) and anytime I add something that is in the area of a Panel, it becomes part of that Panel.

This is all fine and good when you are trying to drag and drop something right into the panel, it makes it really easy. But when I'm trying to drag and drop something else in that area where the panel just happens to be, I don't want it to be in that panel. So how can I make it so the panel stops parenting my other items on the page? I hope that makes since.

Selecting Items In Flow Layout Panel?

Jun 17, 2010

I have been trying to understand how to make thumbnails that I create from a directory, and place in a flow layout panel, selectable. That is, when someone klicks one of the thumbnails that thumbnail should be selected and, either automatically or by the click of a button, a new window (picture viewer) opens and shows the original picture. This is probably very easy to implement, but I am at a loss for the moment.I've tried to find an answer to this by searching the forums, but nothing good has been found so far.

[Code]...

The above code works perfectly and creates thumbnails from the directory c: emp and whatever subdirectory the user writes in the textbox (textbox2). No problem here, it is how to proceed to the next level that has got me stumped. As stated I want the user to be able to select one of the thumnails to get a better look at it in another window. So in selecting it, the procedure should get the path to the original image, and the rest is magic.
