VS 2010 Form A Code For A Small Arrays Manipulation?
Dec 25, 2011
I need help to form a code for a small arrays manipulation. The input data are known: they are two integers "N" and "s". An integer "N" is always divisible by 4.I need to create an array of "N" members, by repeating (N/4 times) this sub-array: 1,2,2,1 (always is the same). In the picture, this is shown in blue. Then I need to add the same array to the existing array, but shifted for "s" places (red array). The result is "yes" if each sum in new columns is always the same (3). Otherwise the result is "no." note there is no need to draw or display something (DGV, table ...). The required result is only "yes" or "no".
I'm having trouble getting started with this application I need to do. Here are the details:
Its an application to calculate student grades for a group project. Create a text file to store names of 5 students, line by line. In a separate file enter peer evaluations from 0 to 1.0. Enter these numbers for evaluations:
This means that student 1 gave 1.0 evaluation for himself , 0.8 for student 2, 0.9 for student 3 etc.Student 2 gave 0.2 for student 1, 0.9 for him- herself, 0.5 for student 3 etc. Read these into a 2-dimensional array. If any of the values is greater than 1.0, set them to 1.0. The program should calculate the average evaluation for a student. While doing so, the program should ignore evaluations that student gave to him-herself. Populate a list box with student names when the form loads. The user should enter a project grade (same for everyone) in a textbox. Then the user can select a student from a list and click Calculate button. The program should display the project grade for that student by multiplying average evaluation by the grade for the whole group (project grade).
I have 3 arrays setup for use in my program. The first array has item level detail and will have a known number of elements. The second array has more of a table level detail and will have an unknown number of elements that will need to grow as the user enters data The 3rd array will also be of unknown size but matching the second array and will be used for indexing purposes at runtime. The question is what would be the best and hopefully fastest way to keep these arrays as small as needed while being able to add new elements on the fly without rebuilding the entire array. Ideally I would like the code to run as fast as possible in as little memory as possible.
I have a little project but ive come to an error. What it does: It goes to a site, fills a form and then submits it. But the submit is too fast. I want it to fill in info, then wait 3 seconds and then submit it.
Here is the WebBrowser1.Document.All("user[screen_name]").SetAttribute("value", TextBox4.Text & intcount) For Each element As HtmlElement In WebBrowser1.Document.All If element.GetAttribute("className") = "submit button promotional" Then element.InvokeMember("click") End If Next I want it to have a little pause of 3 seconds after the intcount).
I have a form that has 1 listbox and multiple textboxes. I need to write an array code to beable to select on an item in the listbox and then display different data into the multiple textboxes due to what is specifically chosen in the listbox. Im having a lot of trouble figuring this out.
I have a vb.net / ado.net application for distributors that queries a sql server db, converts the records to tab delimited text format file. After building the file, the user goes to the website of the manufacturer, logs in to a private area and uploads the txt file.
I would like to add a function to my vb.net code that would launch a browser in a form, load the manufacturer's login screen, load the user id, password and then let the user log in by clicking the login button. Then when the next page loads, I'd like to have the text file I just created pop into the web page text box for file name, choose a couple of radio button options properly and then let the user click the submit button.
I have a text file that has about 200 programs that were dumped from a cnc machine. I want to be able to take that text file and extract each program and save it as it's own text file. There is a distinct character at the beginning and the end of each individual program. I an new to vb and the projects that I have done to this date involve database front ends so i have no idea on how to work with text files.
I have eight text boxes each can have any numerical value only consisting of the numbers 1-8 up to eight digits each. No 0's or 9's. I am using a timer to loop through the sequences of text boxes at a given rate. This is already configured.
Now here's the hard part so bare with me.I need to output the first value of a text box, wait some time then output it's counter letter (below the number on the keyboard), go to the next text box and repeat. Example:

Ultimately I'm trying bring my PC Interface project up to date by going from a parallel port to USB. This will be the "Custom Loop" function for the device.
translate this c# code to vb.net , the online convertion tools dont seem to do a good job and my c# knowledge is not good enough. the main problem i have is how to write the code that is after "(new claimsRequest......"
protected void OpenIdAjaxTextBox1_LoggingIn(object sender, OpenIdEventArgs e) { // Retrieve the email address of the user e.Request.AddExtension(new ClaimsRequest {
[Code] i need a way to screen each employer status and mapping status before placing them in the DGV. I need to convert the numerical values to their corresponding status. 1 = Good, 2 = Non-Reporting, 3 = Under-Remitting and 4= Non-Remitting(which i already know how to do). I just don't know how to get the values being placed on the DGV. I would love to do this on oracle but i don't know how to.
I have some code below that works mostly in vb.net but when it gets to ExtHubPort and after it doesnt work i think i might have incorrect formatting of code somewhere or a simple error because if I get it the same sounds as the vbscript except when mouse device is plugged in it gives me this error in device manager: "device could not start error 10". Here is the code but to plainly put it the code just adds an emulated external usb hub to the system's hub and then usb device to that hub:
Option Explicit On Imports System Imports Microsoft.Dsf Module Test_Emulator

The msgbox's mark important areas that will help if you wish to debug this code. I have a codeplex page in which the project has the dlls for both 32-bit and 64-bit OS's but if you have the dsf runtime you can manually get them from the GAC (c:windowsassembly version and yes im sure because thats where i found them) and just paste into visual studios public assmeblies folder and it
how can i make VB turn off recognition of it's operative characters like $,<,>,= etc. which appears on above code but i need to dump it "as it is" in a file during runtime.
I'm currently learning VB.net and can confidently connect to databases and return results to comboboxes run stored procedures ect to datagrids, However I'm wanting to find an online tutorial for doing loops with data so for example
I want to display each element on a page in a structured format so as to make a visual representation in seperate entities (labels maybe) of the data like so:
Order number
line 1 (includes item and price in plain text on a page i guess using a label) line 2 (same goes)
Subtotal( )
The results and formulae i can do but it's simply how to split off the data from my dataset and display elements as seperates (also how will i dynamically create the lables as obviously i'm not going to know in advance how many order item rows will return )
Obviously this is not urgent but if anyone could point me at a tutorial or even better a few lines of code that will do this for the microsoft northwind data so i can mess about with it and play.
Then skips straight to the Else without performing the two lines in between, regardless of whether the item was checked or not checked. It doesn't crash, doesn't throw any errors, so I am assuming I coded this wrong somehow.
I need to make a small programm for ticketing on a parking for a small hotel. So i have 2 Printers pariking In (for delivery of the tickets) and 2 Readers PArking Out.Both Printers and REaders are working Serial. So i need to poll the serial ports of the printers and readers every second. The data is stored on a SQL database so i need to read and write in the database. Can i do this with 1 PC and 1 programm or 1 PC and 4 programms that are runnning at the same time ?
On form 1 , i have a number of buttons that open up different websites. What i want to do is when i click a button on form 1 , i want forum 2 to show ( Form2.show() ) , Form 2 will have a list (Buttons) of internet browsers.
I would like to create a small pop form for my windows application that serves to greet clients that log onto the system can anyone point me in the right direction as to where I can come up with that informationIf you think it you can achieve it
I have the following function - the purpose of which is to resize a form so that it shows the entire contents of the grid on the form, provided the grid isn't so big that the form gets wider than the screen itself.
Public Shared Sub ResizeFormForGrid(ByRef F As Windows.Forms.Form, ByVal DGV As Windows.Forms.DataGridView) Dim GridColumnsWidth As Integer
I have a form with a webbrowser and other things. I want to know how to take a screenshot of just a small area on my form. I searched and only found how to do a screenshot of the entire screen. how can i provide X and Y values of where I want my screenshot?
i am having problems trying to code this application, here is the assignment: Amusing Toys, Inc. wants to store the description and the number of items on hand of its toys in a sequential access file named stock.txt. The company's sales manager wants an application that lets the user enter the descriptions and the inventory in tow list boxes. Then he also wants to retrieve the file so it is possible display the inventory of a toy whose description he selects from a list box. The List box with the description should appear as soon as the application is loaded. Create an application which: initially adds the information to list boxes so the information can be checked, places the data in one or two arrays, saves the information for retrieval later, contains test data for at least 10 items.here is what i have so far i cant get the information to line up correctly in the list box from the text file and also i have no idea on how to get the quantity to show up after i get it to line up correctly i think i need an array.
Public Class MainForm Private Sub addItemButton_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles addItemButton.Click Dim heading As String = "Department" & Strings.Space(2) & "OnHand" Dim description As String = String.Empty
