Developing Livestock Judging Program For A 4-H Project That Will Present - A Group Of Animals

I am working on developing a livestock judging program for a 4-H project that will present you with a group of animals and you order the animals from best to worst by typing the placings in a text box (i.e. "1234").
When I type in the placings incorrectly, it comes up with the message box that it is supposed to, but when I type in the correct placings, it shows the message box that it is supposed to but then shows the message box that is supposed to show when you type in the placings incorrectly.
I'm working on a class project where I have to create an item class with private attributes, public get and set methods for the attributes, and two non-access methods. I have two textbooks I work with. The first book is Clearly Visual Basic(Zak) and the second is Programming, Logic, and Design(Farrel). I've set my private attributes but I am having difficulty writing what I want to accomplish in the VB.net language.

I new to this Forum and relatively new to VB programming. I have read some really good posts here and thought I would ask about a perplexing problem I'm having. I createdindows Form application, built it and deployed it with no problems. However, when I added a small block of code, re-built the app and went to add the app to the Project Output Group in the file system editor the project was not in the Project drop down list. I closed the Setup project and deleted it from the project folder and checked my code and re-built the app and tried the Set Up project again with the same result

We currently have some big projects coming up which we will be creating in visual studio using vb.net There will need to be most likely three developers working on different parts of a particular project at any one time.I was just wondering if there is any sort of platform we can use so this is possible as currently each person is using a different copy of the work and then we are transferring this over onto a master copy.

I would like to develop a program whereby the user is asked to input the correct answer to a question; if the answer is correct the next question comes up if it is incorrect the user must try again until the correct answer is given. I'm in the process of developing a construction estimating program with vb 2008. Most of the programming I'm able to work myself through, but the problem and question that I have is I would like to incorporate a part of the program where I can import pdf, jpegs, tiffs of blueprints and have the ability to then set the scale, take area and length calculations, and basically do quantity takeoffs.
I am developing a program that populates a rich text box and from a click event on a listbox. The data that is being loaded into the rich text box is located in a richtextformat file located on the hard drive. I noticed that when I entered a URL into one of the richtextformat files that it appeared that I was able to click on the text as if it were a link. So I wondered if it was possiable to click on that URL and open a web browser from the loaded richtextformat file? I have read several articles in regards to opening hyperlinks in rich text boxes which can open a web browser with a given URL.
The code in question is in place, and it works. The project is all but wrapping up. That being said, I would love to find a better way to run this section of code in an x64 system so I have the solution ready for future projects. What I currently have in place is as follows:

Now I know the easy way to achieve my goal would be to use the timer object in Visual Studio. The problem I ran into is I was developing an automated command line program. As such there was nothing I could attach the timer to (that I'm aware of). I just needed to pause the program for a few seconds to allow the DTSX package (SSIS file if you're not familiar) to load the file before I remove it from the staging folder.
While I was doing research for this issue I came across the old Sleep() function (referenced to a library in kernel32 as I understand it...never used this before either). When I tried to use this on my current system (64-bit system) I received stack overflow errors. Additional research lead to something called wow64, but I did not have enough time to fully research what this is / how to use it.
I am developing a very simple game in visual basic 2008: a roulette. I wrote a web application(website) for a company using vb.net 2008 in VB.NET and asp.net and , so now i want to create a "Setup Project" trying to make it an installation package.according some online source i did: click "File"on the main menu, then, new project> web setup project>ok , then select webapplication folder However, when I tried to "Add -> Project Output", the "Add Project Output Group" dialog box shows up empty. There is nothing showing up in the drop-down list. According to a VB.NET book as well as some online tutorial, there are supposed to be stuff in the drop-down list showing the types of projects.
I have a groupbox with 12 checkboxes(containing months of the year). I need to calculate and display the value in a text box.
For example if one check box is checked then on clicking the button calculate, it should be able to display the value 500 in the text box, if two checkboxes is checked then the total should be 1000, if three check boxes then total should be 1500 and so on[code]...
Has anyone else had issues with Visual Basic 2010?My visual basic program has been running fine for months but recently every time I try and load a project (any project) the program freezes, then I have to close it down and reload, every time I load Visual basic for the second time I get the following error:

An error was encountered while opening associated documents the last time this solution was loaded. Document load is being skipped during this solution load in order to avoid that error.Plus when trying to run a project in debug it takes ages to load (around 5 minutes) this has only started happening recently, projects were loading in seconds.

I am currently trying to create a program to list a large group of numbers for me. My final goal is to have every 2, 3, 4, ..., and 9 digit number containing only "1" "2" and "3". I thought I would go about this by using the following VB.NET program and then copying it into a text editor, and using find & replace to eliminate all other numbers.

it fails due to the massive amount of processing that needs to take place. However, adding the intervals requires a great deal of time for each number to be displayed without any crashes.
Is there some way (in VB.NEt or another language) to get the number list I want in a short (an hour or less) amount of time?
I want to change the color of the group header text in listview which separates all the items into various groups, there is no such option to do that directly because no such property exists.
As far as i can think of it can be achieved via overriding the paint event but i have not done any overriding of paint events on windows controls so far.
I'm trying to match up a specific group name and see if it exists for the currently logged in user using Active Directory roles. If the Group Name exists for the Current User, I want that group name to be displayed in a drop down list. Example: If current user is in BIG Group, display BIG in drop down list.Problem: All I am getting is SIDs and I'm not able to get anything to match up to the group name and nothing will show up in the drop down list.I also get the following Error:Error: Object variable or WIth block variable not set.How do I fix this?? here is the code I am using:

I am writing an application and I do not know how to reference a group of controls inside a group box. I will include the code I have written so far and a picture with a detailed explanation as to what I am trying to do. Feel free to comment on any discrepancies that you may notice in my code.

I want to divide the content in my application to groups each group has its own rectangle border with the group name located at the top border, i've seen it before and i'm not sure what is the correct name of this control, anyone knows what I'm talking about ? EDIT: Ok, I found the Groupbox Control but how do i use it? should i just drag other controls inside it or i should add controls directly into it?
I have a standard "class library" project with a set of classes that I use to import in almost all my new projects.
The way I work is creating a new Solution with an empty project, which is my main project, and then I add to the solution the mentioned class library project, this way I can see both projects in the Soluction Explorer and even see the library code or update it if needed. Then I write the code in my main project and I compile.
This lead me to have 2 files when I compile: file *.exe and stdlib.dll
Some cases I use the lib for very small tools that I want to redistribute in a easy and clean why, so I would like to embed the stdlib.dll generated from my class library project into my *.exe file.
I have this code I've used multiple times to add and remove users from AD groups, but when I try to use it to remove an AD group from another AD group it fails with "The server is unwilling" [code]...
