Get Data From Clipboard And Put The Values In Many Labels?

I want to get a matricial data (a matrix of numbers, like a txt data with TAB separators) from the clipboard and put these numbers each one in many Labels (or other Control that would be easier to work with numbers - maybe NumericUpDown, but I don't like his look). I don't know how to Declare, Define, or anything.... I just want to click on a button and then get the data from the clipboard, check if it's a number (or matrix, or whatever).... and put one by one in each Control (label) that I want.For example:
I have in the notepad the follow:
1 "TAB" 2 "TAB" 3 "TAB" 4 "ENTER" 5 "TAB" 6 "TAB" 7 "TAB" 8 .. end
like a matrix {1,2,3,4 ; 5,6,7,8}
If I just copy it to clipboard, it will be copied like a matrix, right?? So, what is the command that I have to use in VB that catch this data and bring to my program (clipboard.getdata would be the more correct?)And then, when I alredy have catch this data, how can I put the number 1 in the label1, number 2 in the label2, number 3 in the label3 and so on..Remember that I interested in use this numbers to calculate other values after and present the results in other place, and I know (maybe wrong) that labels is not the more apropriate Control to work with numbers?

I created a program that has serval labels on a form and a listview object. It has a button that when clicked reads a textfile and loads up values in the listview object. I then can click and drag text from the listview box to any label on the form and then the program removes the value from the listview box. Now, my question is how can I instruct VB to save these values in the text property of the labels so that the next time the program is loaded the labels will contain the values loaded during the last run time session?

lets say I have a form (form1) with lables a-z which are all designed with default text "0". So they all show 0 on program startup. which is fine. I also have a dialog with 2 TextBoxes; I want my program to update the default text/value on (only)form1 labels x, y and z to whatever was put into the textboxes when i press the OK button on the Dialog, so these specified labels show the 'new' value on next startup. Is it even possible or should I save the values to a file which loads the values in the specified labels on startup?

I am unable to read a pasted datagridviewrow object from the clipboard. All I want to do is, when a user has the entire row selected and copied, I would paste that row into the clipboard as a DataObject. That works just fine but when I attempt to read that DataObject (after the user clicks Paste) the DataGridViewRow that's saved in the clipboard always has a value of Nothing. I have to design a project for my IT course at college using Visual Basic. The task is to create a program which allows the user to enter the height of a room plus the width of the walls as well as the paint which costs different prices. I have managed to get the program to work out the cost of painting each wall, but I cannot get another label to show the price for painting a full room, when the result is basically adding up the cost of painting all of the walls. how to add up multiple values displayed in labels?

so i have this code which is trying to allow the user click the label (of which there are 26) and then decide whether the letter in the label matches the letter that has been generated in the radio button. I KNOW there is a more simplified to do this and much less code to write but i cant work it out. this is an image of what im trying to achieve but instead of buttons change those to radio buttons x 3.

I have designed a program that, when the "caclulate" button (btnCalc) is pressed, it asks the user for a file name, then pulls data from that file (file is a .txt of 100 decimals, one per line) and displays the Total, Average, Highest and Lowest. To do this, I have placed all the data into an array, and then used the array to get the information I need. All the code is in place, the only issue is that when the "calculate" button is pressed and the file name is entered, nothing happens.Need to figure out why the values are not displaying in my 4 labels (lblTotal, lblAverage, lblHighest, lblLowest)!!Here is the code:

although this topic has been posted for many times, I still can't figure out how to copy multi formats in clipboard.For example, I have a class called "Meta" and it contains data of a drawing. So if someone copy it to the clipboard, it should contains the original data of the class in a custom format called "drawing", a metafile of the drawing and a bitmap in case some app can't read metafiles. I'm trying to program that specific data will be copied to the clipboard so the user can paste it in, for example, Excel or Word. I already know that the following code can do this:Clipboard.setdataobject( " some text " )But that's where my problem just starts. I have set data into clipboard and I have assigned it some hot key e.g. ctrl+alt+d now I want is while the my application created in vb is running whenever I press the hotkeys my program will put the data into that active window by getting it from the clipboard.

I am returning to VB building, first time since HighSchool. I am creating a program that has many fields of data that you type into. When you click Generate Button it then writes all that data a .txt file and opens it in notepad.
From that point you copy everything in notepad and paste it into a ConnectWise HelpDesk Ticket.
My goal is to automatically get the data when clicking Generate to populate into the Clipboard, or let it write to the .txt file and then copy all the data from the .txt file into the clipboard. So all you have to do is Ctrl + V after Clicking "Generate"

There is Bitmap data on the clipboard from a screen capture. If I paste it into a RichTextBox it works OK. That is, if I remove the first two lines below.
Dim clipboardDataO As DataObject = CType(Clipboard.GetDataObject(), DataObject)
Clipboard.SetDataObject(clipboardDataO)
RichTextBoxTxt.Paste(DataFormats.GetFormat(DataFormats.Bitmap))
However, If I capture the clipboard data and restore it before I paste I no longer get my bitmap displayed in the box. My problem is, in the real situation I need to use the clipboard before I paste which is why I save it and restore it above.
1) Do you know why restoring doesn't appear to work here?
2) I can't paste before the save/restore. Is there something else I can do?

I am having issues retrieving a class serialized in another application. If I put the code all in one application the set and get both work. If I separate the code into two applications the retrieval fails. Any thoughts on how to set the object to the clipboard in one app and get it back in a second one? [code]

I am just wondering if there is any way I could copy a bit of text using whatever application, but having a clipboard application of my own to store all of those on a listbox? So if it possible, how can I catch a value when I the user copies some text? I could make a cool application that would be quite handy... is there any event that could catch the data when something is copied onto the clipboard?

I have a P/L chart which has a left scale (Y axis) which starts from a negative value. I want to format the axis labels (the major tick mark labels) so that the negative ones are red.
Something like;

Well im currently developing an application for public use, I have a login screen in which the user enter's their registered credential's and the progressbar loads by increments of 3, now i placed 6 labels ontop of eachother and where the progressbar coding is i put:
If Progressbar.Value >= 1 Then
Label3.Show()
If Progressbar.Value >= 20 Then
Label3.Hide()
Label4.show()
And so on up until Label8 Show at 100%,
Now the problem is... As i have placed the labels ontop of eachother i need them hidden until they are called to show, i have tried adding a background worker to do this but have had no luck, all i see is the labels overlapping eachother when i run my application when i want them hidden untill Label3.Show() is called, and then to display them as they are called and hide them when another one is called to show...

I'm having some problems with a program I'm making in vb.net. I have two forms: one containing a datagrid with basic details of orders (date received, total value of the order, customer who placed it, date it was sent out). The second form contains a datagrid with more details (the stock code and quantity of each product purchased) on each indivual order. The second form also has a label containing the total value of the order. All this information is stored in a database.
By clicking on a row in the datagrid in form 1, I capture the OrderID of this row and use that to look up the information form 2 requires in my database. I only want to show the details of the order that was clicked. I'm having no problems filling the datagrid with the information I want but I'm unsure of how to get the label working.
I figure I might need to do something invloving a datatable, like this:

Dim row As DataRow
table = orders.Tables("Orders")
row = table.Select("Total", "OrderID = '" _passedText "'")
Label1.Text = "'row'"
Where Total is the column I want it to display and Label1 where I want it; _passedText the variable containing the OrderID of the record that the user clicked on form 1.

With VB, but I've got the few basics down, file naming, adding objects, naming objetcs, etc. But the reason I'm on here is because I cannot complete even the first step. Our form is 640 X 480, and we need to have two labels, both have vertical scrolls. I know how to add and resize the labels to meet my needs, but I do not know how to create scrolling labels. Or are they text boxes? On our bubble chart (Do you know what that means?) it says lblInformation. We are going to have clickable radio buttons which will update the lblInformation with info about each of the radio buttons.

I've search and to retrieve data people usually show Datagrids.
I just need to know how to navigate in records, by the number of their position (?) and to place that data in labels/textbox or anything like that.

I can't get it to display the computed values in the label fields when I run the form. I've been through the example code provide to me, my textbook, google (how I found DaniWeb), and I've been over the code probably 50 times and the problem just isn't jumping out at me and it doesn't generate any errors or trigger the try catch, so I'm asking for fresh eye.[code]
