I cannot work out the correct formatting of the above type addressing for a textbox in a (sort of) array of textboxes such as
textbox_1
textbox_2

etc.
The controls are on Tabs but I don't think I need to include the Tab as a container control, just refer directly to the textbox on the form, but I cannot work out how this is done in VB .NET format. I have a project with about 30 forms and each form has about 30 labels from DotNeBar (its a controls suite). If in the future I decide to change that suit for other, how can I replace the DotNetBar labels with the ones of the new suite? I have a maximized form that has controls at the top of it and a large DataGridView that is docked below all the controls. Its kind of like the Ribbon in MS Office. The controls cover about 1/4 of the screen at the top. I would like a way for the user to click a button to hide all the controls then automatically expand into the place the controls were so the user can view more data in the DataGridView and visa versa. For example, in MS Office Excel you can hide the ribbon by clicking a tiny button that has "^" on it.
I'm not very familiar with all the controls in Visual Studio so I would like to hear some recommendations. Is this situation ideal for a SplitContainer or ToolStripContainer or am I way off base here?

Let's say I have regular string called tempstring, and I want to change a specific item in that string. Like if tempstring = ";1;2;3" and I want to change the "2" to "Baboon." Here's my best solution on how to do it:

So far this is what I've come up with:

StreamReader - to read the text files and find the text that I specified

I am wondering if anyone has any idea how to make the controls stack and fill up the available space left by a control if the control is hidden or removed from the UltraGridBagLayoutPanel.
Example:

If I hide [Textbox 3] as of now, it will disperse the space left equally and pad the remaining text boxes with the space. However, I would like it to do this...

unordered text file of 3 columns to assign into 2 arrays. I've been given a graphing component which expects a two dimensional array for a scatter graph for the set of values in the last column.
How would I parse through the list given an indexed array of 215 possible 'zone alarm locations' and if an alarm log list item, of which there can more than one for any given zone location, compare in the two dimensional array any previous value and replace it with the higher valued one? The following are my declarations for the 2 arrays. It isn't clear to me why the array for the scatter data was defined as (999,1) knowing there are only 215 possible x values (alarm zone locations)

A big oversight there on my part. I knew a control took care of disposing its children but It hadn't occurred to me that I should dispose an old image if I replaced it.
On my form I have two radio buttons. One for CDs and one for books. If I select CDs I have a group box that changes visible = true and I have txt boxes there I want to input. If I select books I want the groupbox to remain visible = false and in its place a text box to appear. How would I do this? I know I can just overlap the controls but that looks hideous in designer.

I've been looking through the FCL for a method that will allow me to erase a line of text from a text file and replace it with another line of text. Neither the StreamReader nor StreamWriter have a method for replacing or removing Text from a text file, as does the string object. Are there any available methods for erasing just certain lines of text from a file, and then replacing them with others?
In my code, I'd like to locate a certain line in the text file, and then at that point in the text file, use a For...Next Loop to replace each successive line of the text file with new text:
